question what if i have high speed internet but i have a dsl/modem router wat if i buy a new one with better range and faster speed will it make a diffrence
@xXAZN407Xx the Mifi is no longer available but the improved FiveSpot is free on our site MoreMobileInternet com with a 2 year deal. Thanks for viewing!
@rug5000 yes, they give you internet anywhere. the verizon mifi is a better option now since it is $10 a month less than the USB for some reason. You can get the Mifi for free at MoreMobileInternet (dot) com Just click on the link below the video...
I have a question, I want to get a usb modem and get wifi from it. Is there a router for it ? I need a wifi connection for my ps3 so how can I pick up a wifi connection from a usb stick?>
@CelticsELITE Yes, if you want a USB you would need a router to make wifi. (see our site for a free USB +$150 back....this can pay for your router) . The least expensive router would be the CTR350 or MBR900. see moremobileinternet com/mobile-router for info on those. Or you could get a Mifi or Overdrive since those give you Wifi without having to get a router. That would be the easiest way to do it...
My understanding is that the mifi also supports "tethering mode" when connected to a computer via USB. So can you connect the mifi to those routers via USB? If so, this seems to be the best solution all around.
@raykholo Yes, that is very true! The Mifi actually comes with the USB tether. Other than the fact the Mifi's tend to cost more upfront than the USB sticks, it is a very good solution with lot's of flexibility. (Actually both the Sprint and Verizon Mifis are free on our site, but the USB760 is free +$150 back which could pay for a router too). Thanks for stopping by!
@Morganmoonshine Yes, it could be used as an alternative. I would recommend using Sprint with a 4G device like the 250U (see our website) since 4G is almost 10x faster and Unlimited. Just make sure 4G is in your area first via the coverage maps. If no 4G is available then you would have a 5GB limit on Sprint so you would need to make sure you don't go over...but lots of people never get to 5GB anyway.
@timonzzzzz yes, but it needs to have a good signal to work well, or you might get some occasional lagging. A better option, if you are in a Sprint 4G area would be using a Sprint Overdrive or 250U with Router. The 4G will be plenty fast for online gaming. See our website for more on those...
@GamstaT oh yes! especially now with the new 4G cards that are MUCH faster. I'd look at our Free UML290 or 250U from Sprint and a router for best performance.

Does the router have to be crattle point

@hjjones2021 No, but only a few brands work with cellular USB cards....and CradlePoint happens to be the best.

I guess if you have only one desktop you want to use it with, then that tiny usb modem is best.
PAYBACKiszaB2 5 months ago
that MiFi, can you Lock that so that neighbors can't find it and milk your signal dry for free?
PAYBACKiszaB2 5 months ago
@PAYBACKiszaB2 yes, with any of these solutions, you can (and should) secure the connection.

hi, would this be a practical alternative to a cable based DSL wi-fi home network.
are there any unlimited data devices that could replace a cable DSL
