@SanGuevara Actually, the two do not collide. Yes, they say God made man in his image, but he also endowed him with free will, the freedom to choose between right and wrong. Unfortunately, Adam and Eve chose to sin and that is when evil and immorality came into the world. But we still have the freedom to choose between right and wrong.

@manhunt48 I don't think it is meant in the literal sense that the tree 'contained' evil. Rather, it was Adam and Eve's very action that allowed evil to become active and permeate the world. That's just my interpretation.
