I watched this the 1st time in 1986 aged 7/8 and this part freaked me out big time. And the "Zuul" part when Dana opens the fridge, especially because our house was next to dark fields where I thought Zuul roamed at night. For months I had to sleep with the light on. Lol the scariness of being a kid.

i remember being 10 years old and thinking it was going to be light comedy and then this , the first scary scene, came on and totally destroyed me. there were nightmares.

I know what you mean, I was like 5 when I first saw it and had nightmares until I was 11 or 12...

I thought "Oh, this should be funny!" And then I cried and hid behind the couch for the rest of the movie after this scene :D

This is one of the scariest scenes of all time which needs to be in the top 100. Excellent monster (Ghoul). Its actually uglier than the Demonic Linda Blair in "The Exorcist."
