here's something to know about in brawl.

if your doing the subspace emissary, then player 2 can teleport to player 1 using the plus button.i promise this works.

I heard that depending on which princess you saved slightly changes the story line, but not the ending. So if you saved Peach then Zelda would become a statue and later on you would have to battle Dark Peach as either Pit or Mario, dont ask why.

for each part of the game there are only a few characters that you can play as for example one part you choose between link or yoshi and on another its between pikachu and samus so no it doesnt.

Being turned into a trophy means you're DEAD. You can only be brought back by the person who "killed" you (he or she MUST be willing to do so, and not forced). Some other people, like Pit can bring back allies even if they didn't kill them.
