This is honestly the most frustrating game ever developed. I cant believe how many issues one must go through to play this game. Once you finally get to play this game after days of hard word trying to find the right patches, punk buster updates, and then trying to get them to apply to the game, you get kick by invalid cd keys and more punk buster errors. Then after contacting ea waiting days for a response, you do what they say and your computer crashes!

I think you need to get atleast 1 kill to rank up, and it has to be when the meter is full. works with me.

Let's say you have 19,999 points which is 1 away from next rank MSgt. it's also one away from 1stSgt. If you rank up, and don't have the necessary badges for 1stSarge, you'll get MSgt. If you rank up with the necessary badges, you'll get 1stSarge. I got first Sarge. Doesn't make a difference, just cooler emblem for first, no extra unlocks. You'll stay that rank until You rank up to Sergeant Major.

and the second thing is.. for ur first sergeant promotion u need 20k and ur basic badges nothing else.. no veteran badges.. i had to get my veteran vehicle badges for my 1 star promotion and my veteran class badges for 2 star.. which is my rank right now .. download BfSV.. its a great tool to look up ur stats

if you have around 33k points then its the bar that's stuck, sergeant major rank is your next, which you will be awarded at 50,000pts

In addition the fact that you dont even have all of your basic combad (put class here) medals kinda makes me wonder how the heck you got that rank. So if you used a memory freezer/editor it might be the problem as well.

when you reach 20000 points you rank up to first sergeant, as long as you have all the basic vehicle badges by the time you are promoted. you probably didnt have all of them by the time you ranked up so you cant reach first sergeant anymore. you will be promoted with 50000 points to master gunnery sergeant!!! just keep playing!

You didn't have all the requirements for the next rank before you hit your rank. You have to wait until 50k to rank again. Then you will have a full bar again until 60k (unless you get Sgt. Major of the Corps somehow)

I think you need to play more bf2, not special forces, and you should get the basic knife badge, 7 kills with knife in a round.
