hey, I'm actually thinking of getting one of these, but my issue is that I need to see the speed on the nav screen...is it not available? I've noticed that none of the pioneers have this feature,am I right?
To switch to the "initial menu", you have to press mode (audio) then press the "SRC/Off" button, after this, hold down the knob/enter button/centre of MULTI-CONTROL for 5-10sec.
EQ isnt too detailed, when you see mid, high, low you can go +/- and changing any of those enters you into the custom preset. you can also adjust subwoofer freq and crossover of HPF
I cant make my navgate feeds work whith my new unit avic-f320bt?? Can't change background.. my startup picture whont work when i start the car, it only work when resete unit
Hello. I am thinking of purchasing this unit. I know, its last years model, but it is at a good price. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any way to stop the different colors around the control knob from changing. In other words, can I keep it just one color? Not sure if you found a way to figure it out. Thanks.
Hey nice vid. I have the same unit and I love it too. One quick question. How do you import your phone contacts to the unit? I still have not figured that out. Thanks in advance.
you can adjust low, mid, high with basic +/- settings and maybe a range of 5 frequency targets for each, you can also set subs for reverse, and there is a HPF and crossover setting which makes a huge difference. When i got this deck after my previous pioneer (PH-8000BT) i nearly got rid of it since the sound was nothing like my old deck, but after tweaking with EQ it is definitely amazing now. Takes a lot of tweaking to get it right though.

I was trying to figure that out to, but I found it today. You have to go into the audio part, not the nav., and then hold the knob until it will come up audio menu, you go into there and then you can change it there@Munks1320

@SirPrem8 read furey377's response to this video he said how to do it. and the aux cable supplied lets you play music from anything with a 3.5mm jack....analog signal, just go to aux in the source menu
Thanks for the colour setting answer I finally got it! As for the wires they come out the back and route to your glovebox or center console. I hate seeing wires out the front it looks so cheap. Someone asked where I bought this deck...I got it on eBay it was refurbished. $400 plus $60 customs fees to Canada....mind you it was a year ago
Hey don't know if someone else got this below there but if you want to set the LED colour in the deck, power off> press the joy stick (two fingers helps with the control) > adjust colour option.
If you download the AVIC Feeds software (windows only) you can set custom colours and as you said input waypoints.
yeah ive tried many, many times to find a way to do it, even using AVIC PC program which has a setting to change the colour, and it never works! Some people say they can do it but i think its based on firmware or something.
Fantastic Review. This is the only full video review of this device I have found on net. Just a few questions..Is it true you cannot change destination while driving due to the parking brake connection? Overall sound quality...does it live up to the live ASR feature for improving sound quality? I need that good bass for hiphop. Also any issues with the navigation so far. I to am from Canada and need a good nav to get around toronto. thanks a mil
@djose yes thats true so when wiring your harness just ground the green parking break wire and you can go through your phone book and set destinations while on the highway :p
@bpacheco6 OH and the sound quality is great but you HAVE to use the custom equalizer and set it up to your system. I have 2 10's with a 1400w amp and factory bose speakers, bass was NOT there when i first installed the decck but after messing around now it sounds great. Use the HPF (high pass filter) to your advantage. turn your subwoofer out off and set up your factory speakers to sound
@bpacheco6 great with little bass, then turn subwoofer output on, set a good HPF, increase bass booster a little bit and your boomin. Toronto gps is awesome, i use it allllll the time downtown and its flawless. burlington, to scarbourough, downtown to brampton, its never failed me.
very easy to install, just make sure you have a double DIN stock stereo then you simply use the mounting brackets from your stock stereo. Do your wiring harness (match colours of wires very simple but you need to buy this seperately) and find a place to mount your gps antenna and mic and your all set
all you need to do is ground it, it has never given me any problems using this method. so just ground it to the chassis ground wire (on your harness, no need to even go near your handbrake)
You can change the color to be blue all the time. It's in the setup there somewhere, the current setting you have it custom I believe, if your roll through with the knob select blue. I just put one of these in my dad's 350Z

1) yes you can change to km somewhere in the settings and you can also use Litres for your estimated gas consumption to a destination
bpacheco6 1 year ago
hey thanks for the review...two questions:
1. since we're in canada have you found a way to change the nav from displaying in miles to kilometers? and
2. have you found any way to just pick a color for the background instead of it changing all the time, its kind of driving me crazy
Jpucar 1 year ago
Excellent question. Answer is no and Its definately a sucky thing. There's a lot of small advantages to getting a unit that's higher up the line.
