the only thing that guy in the STI didnt do is have a new car he is such ah little tiny POS i cant believe anyone would ever drive such ah POS i mean i gotta big ole cock but that doesnt mean im gonna drive ah POS i mean cmon man i know guys with bigger dicks then u will ever have because ur just a little dick man! only tiny tiny little dicks like that kinda stuff i mean how can u even be hardcore when ur soo weiny
@drakebob17 1st off, that was not a horrible time for an older sti, 2nd how do you know how big the dudes dick is? let me guess, had fun with him and a glory hole at a rest stop?
@SleepyMongoose 04-05 STIs can, and did run 12.9s BONE STOCK with a great driver. (driver being the key, as normal drivers pulled somewhere around 13.3-4 stock) 13.9 is a fucking miserable time for an STI of any vintage. Also, the newer STIs are SLOWER in the 1/4 than the 04-05, and even those can rip 13.2s all day every day, bone stock.
The problem with boxer engines are mostly related to lubrication problems, Gravity can be a real bitch sometimes. My dad has a 1974 Porsche 914 2.0L and trust me, you have to be very careful when taking it out of storage. After a winter he tried to start it and he busted 2 rings and scratched the inside of the cylinder, the heat disintegrated the heads so the valves shut, then the cam went all in a matter of a few seconds. it got rebuilt but its still something that concerns me.
@FANADICALCOWHEAD Actually the Boxer design has less lubrication issues than inline 4 cylinders. You took a 45 year old car out of storage without starting it during cold winters and something broke? Sounds like a "DUH!" scenario to me. That would happen with any kind of motor, vehicle or not. Something in storage like that should be started often, especially during the cold seasons so keep the motor lubricated. Letting an old car sit over Winter, then expecting it to fire up was a mistake.
@jakubgt1 Lol inefficient compared to a v8? Not even close. Congrats, I could tell you the list of cars I've owned too but that's irrelevant. The STI motor started in 2004 which I don't see as outdated. It's also going to be a completely new design of a motor in 2012. Yeah, most don't mod a WRX past that. In comparison to the STI, the transmission is very weak, nor does it have the Brembos. It's not a performance car and of course it has low torque sub 3k, it's not in much boost at that RPM.
@jakubgt1 Quit crying about Subarus. All I sense from your comments are you being butt hurt about them by calling them out dated and lacking torque. Well reality check, can you show me a better 4 cylinder performance vehicle on the market for under $35,000?
@jakubgt1 Minor bump in performance perhaps, if its the same design as the JDM 2.0's, but you loose a lot of bottom end torque compared to the 2.5. The header design is what you would call inefficient, not the engine. There's a reason why Japan went to the twin scroll turbo and EL header design in 2001 on their EJ207's. The downside to that is you loose that Subaru signature sound. Also the no replacement for displacement is a racing term, not reliability.
thats the thing about AWD, and the reason i sold my WRX. Off the line you either hook and book or bog down and get walked. and the awd slows it down massively at high speeds.
if thats a LS1 even though it beat the STI its still slow. LS1 camaros/firebirds around low 13 second cars from the factory. Either something is wrong with the car, the DA sucked that day or it was a 6spd car and he didn't wanna blow the 10 bolt to pieces from launching to high. I own both a LS1 WS6 and a 02 WRX. They are not even close to being in the same class. WRX will out handle my WS6 in every turn but line them up and the WS6 will destroy it going in a straight line. Two different beasts.
Every video I watch the camaro always wins! And every Subaru fan has the same excuse, he doesn't now how to drive it, or he doesn't now how to launch a Subaru, well if the car is so complicated to race then why buy lol!
People just don't understand that you cannot compare an Impreza STI with a Camaro. They are two different cars from different classes. The Impreza is a 2.5 4cyl while the Camaro clearly has a much larger engine with 6 or sometimes 8cyl. So it is perfectly normal for an Impreza to lose against a Camaro, and there is really nothing amazing about this.
A more reasonable comparison would be a Type R Civic against an Impreza STI, or a Honda NSX against a Camaro since they are more similar.
@sabby123456789 Motor isn't everything.......I'm keeping this civilized only because you weren't cussing and swearing like an idiot. But when you mix an all-wheel drive with a powerful turbo "4 banger".....and someone who knows how to launch the damn thing, unlike this vid, you got a better shot. I own a Stage 2 WRX, and I know my limits. A Vette, yes I said Corvette, through a quarter....simple, easy. Launch it, don't miss a gear, and flat foot shift. All out, vette would catch me though
The guy driving the Subaru can't drive for crap. He most likely had a 2 something 60ft and he bogged big time. In a all wheel drive car you go around the water box and hit your lights and start boosting while the other guy does his burn out.
@Bestcashmoney2 you are a FUCKING dumbass, where the fuck are you getting your info from? the first sti in the us was made in 1992 and the sti division was formed in the 80s. youre a dumb wigger, go somewhere
@MrSquidman7050 Evidently you don't know what you're talking about. Yes, STi (also known as Subaru Technica International) was formed in the 80's (1988), but only as a parent company to showcase performance vehicles and WRC. The first STi was introduced in Japan in 1992, however, North America didn't receive the WRX until 2002, and the STi until 2004. The GC was only offered as a base model and 2.5RS from 92 until 2001 in the US, then in 2002, they introduced the GBD-F model.
@TheSurvivorGuy dear lord you people don't read, lol. In my earlier post, I said that the STi came out in 92. Some guy was confused about their introduction in the US. I then proceeded to tell him that they were introduced in 2004 in the US.
@thisisafake1000 I'm saying it looks like a dustpan, because it really does, one of the ugliest fucking cars out there in my opinion, rather have a godamn neon, but honestly dude the Subaru would win, open your fucking eyes and look at how big of a jump the Camaro got... and that guy in the Subaru is not to good of a driver, looks like he almost stalled it off the line... these cars have about the same horsepower depending on the base model of the Camaro, also weights a bit more and is RWD. soNO
both cars are good for diffrent things. this is the camaros element. drag racing. subarus more of the rally/track type car. so fuck heads saying that the scoobs suppost to rape anything and everything fuck off. id take an american v8 over scoob for drag. but anything to do with turns id take the scoob because they stick to the road better. also...that v8 has a shitload more torque then the boxer H4. fyi
@TheBooth100 Ricer homo fag? So would it be the same principles of muliplication? 2 of the same thing cancelling itself out. A homosexual fag... Is there even a such phrase?
@Kent133 You don't seem like you listen to much fast rock but omg did your subs make me jizz! I have like 8 grand worth of stereo in my car including alternator, batteries, Focal speakers and 2 rockford 12inch subs. I have plenty of speaker power to keep up with the bass from those W7s and I really looked into them for a while, but I wasn't sure if them being 13 inches were too big for fast double bass songs. Do share please! =D
@TheBooth100 I'd say no. My buddy has them in his chevy z71 and they pick up damn near every note on whatever type of music. I'm really impressed with them, Fosgate's are alright but JL was top of the line back when I had them. But with the right setup you can make almost anything sound decent.
@lawlbiker you clearly dont have the slightest idea about cars if you call a camaro a dustpan, and then say a suburu sti could beat it. just leave now
@Jutzujin Gotta agree with TheBooth here. Pull up a Subaru boxer schematic and compare it to anything else on the road. Never a good idea to argue something you don't understand with people that put it to good use everyday on the road. I know a fair amount about rotary engines, but you'll never see me insulting Mazda enthusiasts with the caps lock on just because I disagree with aspects of its design or implementation. If you want to put an end to this, best advice is to be quiet or go home.
Good lord, guys...happy thoughts, yeah? It's obviously a launch issue and if 103.25 is the Chevy's best, the Subaru would've had it. Scrub 1st in a Scooby no matter what you're up against and you just threw the whole point of AWD on a Subaru, especially tweaked.
TheBooth100: you ever seen a Subaru flat-2.5 opened up? The cylinders are massive with a much shorter stroke. The crooked headers make it unique, sure, but sorry - you're wrong. It's the "fartcan" that gives it the depth and definition.
@DrewBtunes Your first paragraph confused me but in response to your second paragraph, yes I have seen the inside of my engine. STI internals are all forged except the pistons and in order to reach the horsepower I have reliably, I had to purchase some CP forged pistons for it. You obviously know little about cars because a 4 cylinder has a header, not headers. Everyone knows that. Also, crooked headers? Are you kidding lol? They are unequal in length, not crooked. That one made me laugh.
@TheBooth100 There's a language barrier of some sort here. 1st paragraph: we agree that launching at too low RPM defeats the point of a Subaru's power and AWD, yes? I call that Scrubbing. Clear? Ok. "Headers" (plural) refers to not the one manifold on one car, but its use in numerous Subarus. Good? Now: "crook": look it up. Means everything from curve or bend to a modification on brass intruments to enhance their tone. So yes, I know plenty about cars and apparently more about words as well. GG?
@TheBooth100 I owned one of those Subaru piles of fuck. NEVER would I buy again. I clicked on this link cause I was looking at LS1 powered 240's and this came up ... you know putting a motor that can take more than 450hp with out shitting pistons out. Oh and any unequal length Subaru sounds like shit. Period!
@Beireis6686 Lol what's wrong? You slapped on a big turbo but couldn't afford the engine work? All you need are some forged pistons. You're obviously confused because unequal length keeps the Subaru sound that every Subaru fan loves. It's the equal length that makes that sound like every other 4 banger. All v8s are good for is burning out and choking the driver on rubber smoke. I remember when I used to think burnouts were cool. I was 16. Nobody cares about that anymore. Learn to all wheel drive
@ModMob AWD is for people who want to haul on places other than the track. Poor RWD cars can only race with slicks on a track. Go race an AWD car up a hill on a rainy day. You'll lose before you get half way up the hill. AWD will shit on RWD anywhere any place. RWD requires perfect road and weather conditions. Get shit on harder please.
AWD is nice at times but a good RWD is always fun, except if its your daily driver in snow, then your SOL. I love AWD and RWD. RWD is good if you have good tires too. makes a huge difference. I want a RWD and an AWD. Just sayin...
@TheBooth100 yeah thats a great idea lets all race on a very slippery slope so we can all DIE! you are a genius! you must be a master car guru to know that racing up hill an AWD car will win.it also looks like this AWD car got pooped on by the RWD Camaro.. Anywhere Any place? not so much..I wouldnt mind an AWD car but to go as far as to say it shits on RWD? no..
@ModMob The only one who would slide off the slippery slope would be the RWD car. I can tell that you know little about cars. If you're going to insult an AWD car like a Subaru, make sure you know your Subarus first so you don't look like an idiot. That's a WRX. A 2.0 liter, 227 crank horsepower car. It's an economy car. One can tell by the headlights and hood scoops that it's a 04-05 WRX. NOT A STI. A STI would shit on that WRX bone stock and has 305 crank horsepower on a 2.5 liter engine.
@TheBooth100 (1/2)so when it is raining really hard and you see those big trucks on the highway flying at 70mph when its really slick out its okay because they have AWD or 4WD?. racing in the rain reguardless of drivetrain type is dangerous.. i can tell you are an asshole when you drive because you think just because your car has AWD then you can speed.never did I say that was an STI. i know the liters of Displacement and the Crank HP.. but Crank HP means nothing. 305crank is ~260 at the wheels
@TheBooth100 (2/2) LS1 makes 350crank and about 310 ish to the wheels from a dig the STI will win but at a Roll I think the LS1 would win.. and I'm aware of the Turbo but I raced a Turbo'ed car in my Z28 and I dominated it.. i even have it up on Youtube.. I know quite alot about cars more than most people my age..
@ModMob Well that's cool and all that you know what crank HP is because most people don't know the difference. A stock STI, at least on the dyno where my work is done actually only makes 240 to the wheels. I'm actually not an asshole and it's very rare that I even get on it when I drive. But when someone tells the world of YouTube that a RWD muscle car is better than an AWD import, I can't help but correct that error. Oh and beating a turbo'd Neon isn't an accomplishment nor is it an import.
@ModMob Also, nobody cares about winning a race at a roll. A real race has, and always will be from a complete stop. Do you go to your local raceway and tell them you want to race from a roll? LOL! Freeway races are for people who don't know how to launch.
@TheBooth100 really? Modded SRT4's are actually pretty quick and i didnt say it was an Import. people do Care about Roll Races. what did you want me to do? Stop in the Middle of the highway and race him? yet another genius safety tip.I didnt follow him on the Freewa, I was driving home late at night with a friend and he came up to me and started the race. which I was happy to finish for him. 4 times.a "Real Race" is around Corners.. this is a Drag Race which is from a stop or a Roll in a Line
@ModMob Neons are not quick, SRT4 or not. Yes I have driven one. Lol who said anything about stopping on a highway? Race at a light or on a track. Freeway pulls are never precise anyway. Someone also hits the throttle earlier than the other. Where as at a track or light, it's fair game. Like I said before, people who don't know how to launch race on the freeway. Duh, of course this is a drag race. Which is exactly why I have been wondering why you're bragging about a freeway win. Irrelevant.
@TheBooth100 i dont even know the mods on that SRT4 and for a FWD 4cyl 4 door car they are pretty quick.. not to mention he got the jump and I still beat him.. you are just saying that dig races are better because your car doesnt have a top end and because its AWD.. if you even have an STI the only video on your profile is your Parrot talking to himself.. and for an even Freeway race you do 3 Honks.. so its not like a huge gap between drivers..
@ModMob A STI with the stock turbo doesn't have much top end, you're right. That doesn't change the fact that freeway pulls are lame and not impressive. Literally anyone can do it. It takes skill to race from a dig and to find the sweet spot with your clutch while launching. I would rather have a stock STI and have amazing cornering and double the traction of rear or front wheel drive cars, than have freeway top end. It takes like 5 seconds to break 100mph on the freeway anyway which is a felony
@TheBooth100 Who said I couldnt launch? like I said i was just driving back home with a friend so its not like I cant launch.. its that i wasnt prepared for a race.. if your "STI" could actually win a Freeway race you wouldnt be ragging on Roll Races.
@ModMob I never said you couldn't launch because I don't know you. I do doubt your driving skills after reading a car with turbo lag got the jump on your naturally aspirated car on the freeway. That's impossible unless you have a terrible reaction time. Lol like I mentioned not knowing you, you don't know me or my car. My car would shit on your Camaro from a dig or freeway pull. I have close to double the horsepower of a stock STI on 92 octane with methanol injection on a HTA Green turbo.
@TheBooth100 well prove it. put up a dyno or something.. he did the honking so he is gonna get the jump and there was no turbo lag because he had down shifted and was in the PSI.. you could clearly hear that.. not to mention my Car was in OD so i was at >2k RPMs when i punched it and i still won..and bragging about being able to beat a completely stock Daily Driver car isnt impressive. i could have made my Camaro 2x as fast as your STI so thats really nothing special..
@ModMob Yeah, yeah I'm getting bored of your silliness. I have several video clips of my STI on my local dyno as well as pictures of my dyno sheets. If you want to see, you can wait for it to be posted after it's 1 whole video and no longer in pieces. If you're wanting proof now, you can message me and I will give you my facebook link with car pics and dynographs. If neither of those are your goals and you're just here to argue because you think your Camaro is fast, then come find me in Portland
@TheBooth100 Why would I drive to Portland in my Stock Z28 to race a modified STI... for a bone stock car my Z28 is fast. i could easily get my Camaro into the low 12's / high 11's. but i use it everyday so im not going to do that..
@ModMob You're silly. If a 4 cylinder Subaru such as mine can run low 11s and also be my daily driver, I would sure hope a car with double the motor could do the same. It's easy to say "my car COULD do this and COULD be faster than you." But it's not the same as it actually happening. I'm nowhere near the fastest out there, but I don't argue with people who have faster cars because they obviously have the money and knowledge that I don't. If you're a know it all with a stock car congrats.
@portlandspitman Dang you're 21 years old and don't even know what a STI is? Pretty sad. This is not a STI fool. Go google what a STI is and looks like. This doesn't even look like a STI lol! No spoiler, WRX hood scoop, obviously it's a WRX. 04-05 on top of that, so it's not even the 2.5 liter WRX. It's the 2.0. So that v8 beat a 227 horsepower economy car, congrats? I live in Portland too. If you want to get spanked by a real STI, let me know when and where.
@TheBooth100 Most high performance V-Twin's (such as that in the Campagna T-Rex). Having said that, Horizontally Opposed engines sound awesome (ever hear the Dauer 962 LeMans revving up? sheer ecstacy).
Alright, what's with all the hating? If you were true car enthusiast you would like them all. There are pros and cons to both Imports and Domestic. Imports have small displacement engines so it takes a lot of money to get big HP numbers but are generally much lighter and handle much better. Domestic, while its cheaper to get big HP numbers generally suck at any kind of handling and are heavy and thats where you`ll have to spend your money. Both can be great performers at drag/road racing.
Sure my buddy at work has. O1' z28 with 220000kms and runs high 12s with just an intake and exhaust. Still has original gears, rear end everything. My winter beat saturn has 250,000kms and still runs great and gets over 40mpg. Every import that runs 12s or less there are thousands more muscle cars and your a fucking retard if you think a 4cyl is more reliable than a v8.
I love how everyone says american muscle. Look at the 2011 mustang 5.0 V8 it has times of 0-60 mph 4.4 – Quarter mile 12.7 and has over 400 horse. The new 2011 STI hit 60 in 5.5 seconds and did the quarter-mile in 13.8 so you see a problem here. It took ford another 100 horse power to be a second quicker in the Q. Lets not even talk about what car would win on a actual track. There is a reason the new STI did the ring in under 8 minutes. So i guess american needs just a little more muscle.
@matt24d1 uh considering they say around 10hp = a tenth of a second in a 1/4 mile then lets see.... yeah 100hp = 1 second. see how math works? maybe you should do a little research before you spit out import propaganda you fucking idiot. The new Mustang and Camaro are so far ahead of any piece of shit subaru its insulting you even compare them. imports are like tampons, every pussy has one. bring whatever you drive and race my camaro, cammed with a cc306 and runs low 12s eat my ass.
@hellcat320 Put a 100K miles on the camero of yours and then see what is the piece of shit or not. There is a reason that the list of a 100 most reliable cars of the last decade only has about 6 american made cars on it. To say that imports are like tampons every pussy has one just brings out the red neck in you. That was a pretty classy statement. Wow low 12's for every 12 second camero you can point out I can find an equal import that can run 12's. Hell one of my friends has a 10 second evo.
@matt24d1 First off, american's build much bigger cars in general. The bigger the car, the more it weighs. The camaro's curb weight is around 3600lbs and the STI is 2800lbs. Increased horsepower is required to manage the extra size and weight. Now, dont get all puffed up and retaliate with American's and their desire to always build the biggest and strongest BS. We build normal sized cars, Japan builds smaller cars to maneuver through extremely compressed overpopulated cities. I lived there 5yrs
@F150Super I can live with that response. It makes sense. I think its just crazy to say that subaru is a POS. I mean there is a reason their 2.5 liter boxer engine was the winner in the 2- to 2.5-liter engine class of the International Engine of the Year Awards like 2 times. I have said it before that American made car companies are making better cars that is for sure. But most of the older stuff that Ford and GM put out in the 80's, 90's and even early 2000's were not that great at all.
@matt24d1 wow faster with more horse power for less than an sti? and it helps the american economy? and its the most agile mustang yet? guess japan needs a just little more rice.
@VirginiasLoudest You just made my point. It is not a huge difference in performance but yet takes another 100 horse for the stang to do it. As far as being less then an STI it just depends on what kind of deal you get but these cars are pretty close in price.
@VirginiasLoudest Only took for over a decade to do it. Wow I guess they were just choosing their moment. You act like the stang has been pushing these times for ever. They FINALLY!!! have a car worth talking about that is not some special boss or something like that.
@matt24d1 Im not following your logic. The mustang is faster in a straight line because it has more power, so that means an STi is better?
Also, You act like a mustnag is some sort of big, heavy muscle car. Its not. The mustang has extensive road racing heritage and is still very capable of holding its own on a road course. How does it compare to an STi? Im not sure. But the fact you disregard its handling performance shows that youre biased and dont know anything about real racing.
@FTBoogie I said it earlier American car companies are FINALLY starting to make a few nice cars. But the bottom line is it took them years to catch up. Go back and look at the performance numbers for a lot of the older mustangs. I mean hell back in 2004 the V8 mustang only made like 260 horse (pretty sad for a v8). So it was about time Ford actually did something right. I will not deny the new mustang 5.0 is a nice car. But the bottom line their stock numbers for years for the V8's were sad.
@matt24d1 I agree. the 90s in particular were pretty dark times for American cars.
But when you go back and look at when the mustang and camarp in the 60s they were by anybodies standard a great sports car. Sure it didnt handle quite like the featherweight biritish roadsters at the time but it more than made up for it with a bit of power and because of this they dominated in road racing.
I bet when we start seeing lap times from the Boss 302 and Laguna Seca Mustangs they will be outrunning M3s
@FTBoogie I think you just hit the nail on the head why I am not a big fan of the american made muscle. They made great cards in the 60's and even some great ones in the 70's. Then the 80's even the 90's came around and their quality went to hell in a handbasket. I mean its like they just stopped trying and figured out people would just buy it because it said camero or mustang. After years of cars like supras running the show Ford is finally trying to make a nice car. The new 5.0 mustang is cool
@matt24d1 .wow 8 min....iam no mustang fan but the new boss 302 laps laguna seca faster than the new nissan GT-R so take ur anti american bs and sit on it.
@YellowCamaro85 I never said I was anti american at all. Just said that the car companies have not made much to get excited about for years. Some of the newer stuff is looking a lot better.
not just any "american muscle" will beat a modded import. granted, ive owned a couple 70's era Oldsmobiles with 350's in them. faster than some imports, a hell of a lot slower than others. also, my current car is a 99 VW and the V6 mustangs from around the same time but newer with more rated bhp havent been able to keep up.
@VirginiasLoudest In what way was that an excuse? A Mustang or Camaro guy fails the start, and he'll demand a rematch, a Subaru guy fails the start, and he'll take it all in stride and do his best to make up for it. Considering the WRX's advantage is off the line, not further down the road, it speaks volumes that he's reeling in the Z28 further down the track.
i just love how everyone runs there mouths about ricer's and import's. niether one of the cars could drive and i would put my 2002 wrx not sti up with a z28 they are slooooooowwwww.
@czechmate1979 yeah its american muscle, but it was slow american muscle. not hating on the z28 but i know some people with them and theyre not that impressive...build them and they can be monsters though. same with the sti too

Who titled this video? That's not a STI fool. On top of seeing it's not a STI before the race began, no STI runs 13.9. A 2006 STI runs 12.8 stock. It wouldn't be a fair race for that poor Z28.
@AbhLafiel Much agreed. I can tell you right now that's an 04-05 wrx NOT STI. It has 04-05 headlights but the wrx scoop, NOT the STI scoop. The 04-05 STI is known for having the largest hood scoop of all of them and it is hard to miss. If this were a STI, that Camaro would get rocked hard. Whether the STI were stock or not.
yup, if u see a muscle car, best thing is to leave it alone,
esp if u have a jap car!!!!

FANADICALCOWHEAD 4 months ago

TheBooth100 4 months ago
@TheBooth100 well said.
MrHeadshot1982 2 months ago
@jakubgt1 Minor bump in performance perhaps, if its the same design as the JDM 2.0's, but you loose a lot of bottom end torque compared to the 2.5. The header design is what you would call inefficient, not the engine. There's a reason why Japan went to the twin scroll turbo and EL header design in 2001 on their EJ207's. The downside to that is you loose that Subaru signature sound. Also the no replacement for displacement is a racing term, not reliability.

if thats a LS1 even though it beat the STI its still slow.

A more reasonable comparison would be a Type R Civic against an Impreza STI, or a Honda NSX against a Camaro since they are more similar.
sabby123456789 8 months ago
An Impreza STI against a Lan-evo would be a better comparison.
sabby123456789 8 months ago
@sabby123456789 Motor isn't everything.......I'm keeping this civilized only because you weren't cussing and swearing like an idiot. But when you mix an all-wheel drive with a powerful turbo "4 banger".....and someone who knows how to launch the damn thing, unlike this vid, you got a better shot. I own a Stage 2 WRX, and I know my limits. A Vette, yes I said Corvette, through a quarter....simple, easy. Launch it, don't miss a gear, and flat foot shift. All out, vette would catch me though

DrewBtunes 9 months ago
Good lord, guys...happy thoughts, yeah? It's obviously a launch issue and if 103.25 is the Chevy's best, the Subaru would've had it. Scrub 1st in a Scooby no matter what you're up against and you just threw the whole point of AWD on a Subaru, especially tweaked.
TheBooth100: you ever seen a Subaru flat-2.5 opened up? The cylinders are massive with a much shorter stroke. The crooked headers make it unique, sure, but sorry - you're wrong. It's the "fartcan" that gives it the depth and definition.
DrewBtunes 10 months ago
@DrewBtunes Your first paragraph confused me but in response to your second paragraph, yes I have seen the inside of my engine. STI internals are all forged except the pistons and in order to reach the horsepower I have reliably, I had to purchase some CP forged pistons for it. You obviously know little about cars because a 4 cylinder has a header, not headers. Everyone knows that. Also, crooked headers? Are you kidding lol? They are unequal in length, not crooked. That one made me laugh.
TheBooth100 10 months ago

Oh and any unequal length Subaru sounds like shit. Period!
Beireis6686 10 months ago
@Beireis6686 Lol what's wrong? You slapped on a big turbo but couldn't afford the engine work? All you need are some forged pistons. You're obviously confused because unequal length keeps the Subaru sound that every Subaru fan loves. It's the equal length that makes that sound like every other 4 banger. All v8s are good for is burning out and choking the driver on rubber smoke. I remember when I used to think burnouts were cool. I was 16. Nobody cares about that anymore. Learn to all wheel drive

@TheBooth100 AWD is for people who either drive in the snow, or cant handle RWD..
ModMob 10 months ago
@ModMob AWD is for people who want to haul on places other than the track. Poor RWD cars can only race with slicks on a track. Go race an AWD car up a hill on a rainy day. You'll lose before you get half way up the hill. AWD will shit on RWD anywhere any place. RWD requires perfect road and weather conditions. Get shit on harder please.
TheBooth100 10 months ago
@TheBooth100
AWD is nice at times but a good RWD is always fun, except if its your daily driver in snow, then your SOL. I love AWD and RWD. RWD is good if you have good tires too. makes a huge difference. I want a RWD and an AWD. Just sayin...
Whellnow 10 months ago
@TheBooth100 yeah thats a great idea lets all race on a very slippery slope so we can all DIE! you are a genius! you must be a master car guru to know that racing up hill an AWD car will win.it also looks like this AWD car got pooped on by the RWD Camaro.. Anywhere Any place? not so much..I wouldnt mind an AWD car but to go as far as to say it shits on RWD? no..
ModMob 10 months ago
@ModMob The only one who would slide off the slippery slope would be the RWD car. I can tell that you know little about cars. If you're going to insult an AWD car like a Subaru, make sure you know your Subarus first so you don't look like an idiot. That's a WRX. A 2.0 liter, 227 crank horsepower car. It's an economy car. One can tell by the headlights and hood scoops that it's a 04-05 WRX. NOT A STI. A STI would shit on that WRX bone stock and has 305 crank horsepower on a 2.5 liter engine.
TheBooth100 10 months ago
@TheBooth100 (1/2)so when it is raining really hard and you see those big trucks on the highway flying at 70mph when its really slick out its okay because they have AWD or 4WD?. racing in the rain reguardless of drivetrain type is dangerous.. i can tell you are an asshole when you drive because you think just because your car has AWD then you can speed.never did I say that was an STI. i know the liters of Displacement and the Crank HP.. but Crank HP means nothing. 305crank is ~260 at the wheels
ModMob 10 months ago
@TheBooth100 (2/2) LS1 makes 350crank and about 310 ish to the wheels from a dig the STI will win but at a Roll I think the LS1 would win.. and I'm aware of the Turbo but I raced a Turbo'ed car in my Z28 and I dominated it.. i even have it up on Youtube.. I know quite alot about cars more than most people my age..
ModMob 10 months ago
@ModMob Well that's cool and all that you know what crank HP is because most people don't know the difference. A stock STI, at least on the dyno where my work is done actually only makes 240 to the wheels. I'm actually not an asshole and it's very rare that I even get on it when I drive. But when someone tells the world of YouTube that a RWD muscle car is better than an AWD import, I can't help but correct that error. Oh and beating a turbo'd Neon isn't an accomplishment nor is it an import.
TheBooth100 10 months ago
@ModMob Also, nobody cares about winning a race at a roll. A real race has, and always will be from a complete stop. Do you go to your local raceway and tell them you want to race from a roll? LOL! Freeway races are for people who don't know how to launch.
TheBooth100 10 months ago
@TheBooth100 really? Modded SRT4's are actually pretty quick and i didnt say it was an Import. people do Care about Roll Races. what did you want me to do? Stop in the Middle of the highway and race him? yet another genius safety tip.I didnt follow him on the Freewa, I was driving home late at night with a friend and he came up to me and started the race. which I was happy to finish for him. 4 times.a "Real Race" is around Corners.. this is a Drag Race which is from a stop or a Roll in a Line
ModMob 10 months ago
@ModMob Neons are not quick, SRT4 or not. Yes I have driven one. Lol who said anything about stopping on a highway? Race at a light or on a track. Freeway pulls are never precise anyway. Someone also hits the throttle earlier than the other. Where as at a track or light, it's fair game. Like I said before, people who don't know how to launch race on the freeway. Duh, of course this is a drag race. Which is exactly why I have been wondering why you're bragging about a freeway win. Irrelevant.
TheBooth100 10 months ago
@TheBooth100 i dont even know the mods on that SRT4 and for a FWD 4cyl 4 door car they are pretty quick.. not to mention he got the jump and I still beat him.. you are just saying that dig races are better because your car doesnt have a top end and because its AWD.. if you even have an STI the only video on your profile is your Parrot talking to himself.. and for an even Freeway race you do 3 Honks.. so its not like a huge gap between drivers..
ModMob 10 months ago
@ModMob A STI with the stock turbo doesn't have much top end, you're right. That doesn't change the fact that freeway pulls are lame and not impressive. Literally anyone can do it. It takes skill to race from a dig and to find the sweet spot with your clutch while launching. I would rather have a stock STI and have amazing cornering and double the traction of rear or front wheel drive cars, than have freeway top end. It takes like 5 seconds to break 100mph on the freeway anyway which is a felony
TheBooth100 10 months ago
@TheBooth100 Who said I couldnt launch? like I said i was just driving back home with a friend so its not like I cant launch.. its that i wasnt prepared for a race.. if your "STI" could actually win a Freeway race you wouldnt be ragging on Roll Races.
ModMob 10 months ago
@ModMob Yea AWD suck on the highways!
MamaMathews3719 10 months ago
@ModMob I never said you couldn't launch because I don't know you. I do doubt your driving skills after reading a car with turbo lag got the jump on your naturally aspirated car on the freeway. That's impossible unless you have a terrible reaction time. Lol like I mentioned not knowing you, you don't know me or my car. My car would shit on your Camaro from a dig or freeway pull. I have close to double the horsepower of a stock STI on 92 octane with methanol injection on a HTA Green turbo.
TheBooth100 10 months ago
@TheBooth100 well prove it. put up a dyno or something.. he did the honking so he is gonna get the jump and there was no turbo lag because he had down shifted and was in the PSI.. you could clearly hear that.. not to mention my Car was in OD so i was at >2k RPMs when i punched it and i still won..and bragging about being able to beat a completely stock Daily Driver car isnt impressive. i could have made my Camaro 2x as fast as your STI so thats really nothing special..
ModMob 10 months ago
@ModMob Yeah, yeah I'm getting bored of your silliness. I have several video clips of my STI on my local dyno as well as pictures of my dyno sheets. If you want to see, you can wait for it to be posted after it's 1 whole video and no longer in pieces. If you're wanting proof now, you can message me and I will give you my facebook link with car pics and dynographs. If neither of those are your goals and you're just here to argue because you think your Camaro is fast, then come find me in Portland
TheBooth100 10 months ago
@TheBooth100 Why would I drive to Portland in my Stock Z28 to race a modified STI... for a bone stock car my Z28 is fast. i could easily get my Camaro into the low 12's / high 11's. but i use it everyday so im not going to do that..
ModMob 9 months ago
@ModMob You're silly. If a 4 cylinder Subaru such as mine can run low 11s and also be my daily driver, I would sure hope a car with double the motor could do the same. It's easy to say "my car COULD do this and COULD be faster than you." But it's not the same as it actually happening. I'm nowhere near the fastest out there, but I don't argue with people who have faster cars because they obviously have the money and knowledge that I don't.

Get a new STi driver
farmboykenny15 11 months ago
I love how everyone says american muscle. Look at the 2011 mustang 5.0 V8 it has times of 0-60 mph 4.4 – Quarter mile 12.7 and has over 400 horse. The new 2011 STI hit 60 in 5.5 seconds and did the quarter-mile in 13.8 so you see a problem here. It took ford another 100 horse power to be a second quicker in the Q. Lets not even talk about what car would win on a actual track. There is a reason the new STI did the ring in under 8 minutes. So i guess american needs just a little more muscle.
matt24d1 11 months ago
@matt24d1 uh considering they say around 10hp = a tenth of a second in a 1/4 mile then lets see.... yeah 100hp = 1 second. see how math works? maybe you should do a little research before you spit out import propaganda you fucking idiot. The new Mustang and Camaro are so far ahead of any piece of shit subaru its insulting you even compare them. imports are like tampons, every pussy has one. bring whatever you drive and race my camaro, cammed with a cc306 and runs low 12s eat my ass.
hellcat320 11 months ago
@hellcat320 Put a 100K miles on the camero of yours and then see what is the piece of shit or not. There is a reason that the list of a 100 most reliable cars of the last decade only has about 6 american made cars on it. To say that imports are like tampons every pussy has one just brings out the red neck in you. That was a pretty classy statement. Wow low 12's for every 12 second camero you can point out I can find an equal import that can run 12's. Hell one of my friends has a 10 second evo.
matt24d1 11 months ago
@matt24d1 First off, american's build much bigger cars in general. The bigger the car, the more it weighs. The camaro's curb weight is around 3600lbs and the STI is 2800lbs. Increased horsepower is required to manage the extra size and weight. Now, dont get all puffed up and retaliate with American's and their desire to always build the biggest and strongest BS. We build normal sized cars, Japan builds smaller cars to maneuver through extremely compressed overpopulated cities. I lived there 5yrs
F150Super 11 months ago

VirginiasLoudest 11 months ago
@VirginiasLoudest You just made my point. It is not a huge difference in performance but yet takes another 100 horse for the stang to do it. As far as being less then an STI it just depends on what kind of deal you get but these cars are pretty close in price.
matt24d1 11 months ago
@matt24d1 when you can cut over a second off your pathetic 5.5 second 0-60 time, it is a big deal. not to mention the mustang weighs more.

@VirginiasLoudest Only took for over a decade to do it. Wow I guess they were just choosing their moment. You act like the stang has been pushing these times for ever. They FINALLY!!! have a car worth talking about that is not some special boss or something like that.

@matt24d1 Yeah... subaru is sooo prestegious...

@matt24d1 Just found out some interesting info. Go look at the lap times for VIR.
'10 Subaru STi - 3:18
'11 Mustang GT 5.0- 3:08
...... yah, All american cars handle soooo poorly
FTBoogie 11 months ago
@FTBoogie I said it earlier American car companies are FINALLY starting to make a few nice cars. But the bottom line is it took them years to catch up. Go back and look at the performance numbers for a lot of the older mustangs. I mean hell back in 2004 the V8 mustang only made like 260 horse (pretty sad for a v8). So it was about time Ford actually did something right. I will not deny the new mustang 5.0 is a nice car. But the bottom line their stock numbers for years for the V8's were sad.
matt24d1 10 months ago
@matt24d1 I agree. the 90s in particular were pretty dark times for American cars.
But when you go back and look at when the mustang and camarp in the 60s they were by anybodies standard a great sports car. Sure it didnt handle quite like the featherweight biritish roadsters at the time but it more than made up for it with a bit of power and because of this they dominated in road racing.
I bet when we start seeing lap times from the Boss 302 and Laguna Seca Mustangs they will be outrunning M3s
FTBoogie 10 months ago
@FTBoogie I think you just hit the nail on the head why I am not a big fan of the american made muscle. They made great cards in the 60's and even some great ones in the 70's. Then the 80's even the 90's came around and their quality went to hell in a handbasket. I mean its like they just stopped trying and figured out people would just buy it because it said camero or mustang. After years of cars like supras running the show Ford is finally trying to make a nice car. The new 5.0 mustang is cool
matt24d1 10 months ago
@matt24d1 .wow 8 min....iam no mustang fan but the new boss 302 laps laguna seca faster than the new nissan GT-R so take ur anti american bs and sit on it.
YellowCamaro85 10 months ago
@YellowCamaro85 I never said I was anti american at all. Just said that the car companies have not made much to get excited about for years. Some of the newer stuff is looking a lot better.
matt24d1 10 months ago
not just any "american muscle" will beat a modded import. granted, ive owned a couple 70's era Oldsmobiles with 350's in them. faster than some imports, a hell of a lot slower than others. also, my current car is a 99 VW and the V6 mustangs from around the same time but newer with more rated bhp havent been able to keep up.

Wow. 13.4 and 13.9. Both cars R S L O W... Show me some 12.4's and maybe Ill be impressed...

BWAHAHAHAHAaaaa....hilarious how the STi got a terrible start (looked like lack of experience?), but by the end he was reeling in the Z28....
darthjader08 1 year ago
@darthjader08 typical. how losers will make excuses
VirginiasLoudest 11 months ago
@VirginiasLoudest In what way was that an excuse? A Mustang or Camaro guy fails the start, and he'll demand a rematch, a Subaru guy fails the start, and he'll take it all in stride and do his best to make up for it. Considering the WRX's advantage is off the line, not further down the road, it speaks volumes that he's reeling in the Z28 further down the track.
darthjader08 11 months ago
i just love how everyone runs there mouths about ricer's and import's. niether one of the cars could drive and i would put my 2002 wrx not sti up with a z28 they are slooooooowwwww.

Who titled this video? That's not a STI fool. On top of seeing it's not a STI before the race began, no STI runs 13.9. A 2006 STI runs 12.8 stock. It wouldn't be a fair race for that poor Z28.
TheBooth100 1 year ago
@TheBooth100 yea, and that being either an 04 or 05, if it WERE an sti, the z28 would have it's hands full.
AbhLafiel 1 year ago
@AbhLafiel Much agreed. I can tell you right now that's an 04-05 wrx NOT STI. It has 04-05 headlights but the wrx scoop, NOT the STI scoop. The 04-05 STI is known for having the largest hood scoop of all of them and it is hard to miss. If this were a STI, that Camaro would get rocked hard. Whether the STI were stock or not.
