@chenghoo666 - I don't want to imagine what you're going through even though I will one day myself with my husky. :( I don't know what it is, but does anyone else that has a Husky... well, when you walk them, do people in your neighborhood ever walk out and ask if you've seen their husky? That happened to me twice in one day recently and one actually accused me of taking hers 1 month ago - thinking mine was identical. I've got papers though. =/

@trikxty it happen in a very bad year for me. in the same year I have family issue, ended a relationship and lost my husky. it was terrible. It's worst to unable to find your pet then to know that they've pass away... you can't put your heart to rest.

as a dog groomer i'd say DON'T by any means DON'T shave him or cut his hair. His hair protects him from the sun and the heat. Zoei loves to sit at the direct sun (!) when it's hot... we don't get here to 120, more like 100-105.

I think you should ask a specialist and not random ppl off the internet.

@BlackUnicorn1408 absolutely do not agree with you. my dogs could barely move until they were shaved (partial - punk style) for the summer. There is a way to give your dogs a better heat regulation in hot states and also reasonable sun protection together. of course partially shaved fur offers less protection than full fur, so avoid mid afternoon sun.

Let me explain it further - Our body temp is about 36.6c (97.8F). Dog's temperature is about 39c (102.2F). The brain is made from proteins, which will start clotting in a temp of 42c (107.6). This means, simply, that while we have quite a lot of degrees to go up before it gets dangerous, dogs need to be more careful. Some scientists made an experiement and they showed that without long fur, the body temperature goes up by up quite a few temperatures (2c) compared to having fur. okie?

@squirerecon put him in a air conditioned room whenever possible. leave ice in his water bowl. dont shave him, it will ruin his coat and he will more likely get sunburns.and will be a easier target for insects like feas. make sure he doesn`t overheat.

@squirerecon Hi there, you can shave your dog partially. it made a huge difference for my dogs yet the hair style still offers them UV protection. See the following video for their "punk hairstyle". I since bought a sheer, I shave them leaving the punk first, then use scissors to smooth the edge (this video was done by scissors only, so it is a but rough). we live in Taiwan and summer temp is constantly 30+~35 C.

Well i really wonder how could u let adog inside the house especially a husky ive been raising huskies for years and i can truly say even if a husky gets trained well still u cant keep him inside the house coz of his fur i personally wouldnt want to have hairs all over my bed and floor and in my food .. I love animals more than anyone could and i LOVE my dogs but ill NEVER let them inside though ur dog is reallyyyyyyyyyyyy cute lol

1. I'm a dog groomer, so there are barely hairs :)

2. My dogs live at the back yard, i just let them in from time to time so they can spend time with us. This one (Zoei, the husky) doesn't like to be inside for long anyway, after about 30 minutes she would go to the door and beg i open it so she can go back outside :D

Our husky Tundra checks himself out even in window reflections, and kisses the mirror every time we walk by one. Huskies are sooo spirited. You can see our fur babies antics on my channel.
