Do you randomly pick an order your first time playing and stick with that order, or do you do the recommended order? Ever since I was little I would always pick my order when I was the Robot Master select screen. I think it came out a month or 2 before the actual game came out and my order went:

Plug Man

Galaxy Man

Hornet Man

Magma Man

Tornado Man

Splash Woman

Concrete Man

Jewel Man

I never deviate from it either. Too bad I didn't know how hard Plug Man was, lol. But he gets easier.

That's not opinion- Splash Woman's stage is the second easiest (first taken by Galaxy Man). Tornado Man and Hornet Man's are among the hardest in the game. Try playing Hornet Man's stage on the downloadable Hero Mode- it's a beast of a level.
