I think part of what makes Radiohead a great band to see live is because frequently each member seems to take on a certain emotionin their performances.

Thom is like sorrow and perhaps angst.

Jonny is like anger and frustration.

Ed is like calmness and nonchalance.

Colin is like shyness and the distancing of one's self.

Phil is like seriousness and down-to-business.

That's just the way I see it in some of their performances.

Whether it was intentional or not, it was handled SO perfectly. I'd take it by the grin that it was a bit of a goof, but leave it to Thom to turn even a goof into something even more stunning than it would have been, had they played it normally. Pure magic.

I think at 3:46 instead of going to the rock out part Thom start another pass. Then at 3:58 Thom gives the universal singer signal that the change is coming by waving the guitar headstock up and down.

Ed's unsure look at 3:44 was hilarious indeed. Also that and maybe a couple other things give away that Thom had forgotten the lyrics or skipped them or whatever and that it was not "planned." Maybe Thom had done that at a previous performance like someone pointed out but he probably also sang "We are accidents waiting to happen" 4 times like he did here. Thom's ending was great, though. :D
