i LOVE this song. it reminds me when my husband is in the field and there are rumors going around that they may come home early...it also makes me think of when he will deploy and how there will be days, weeks, months when he wont call and that he might not come home...such a beautiful song! glad she one american idol...kellie is good to but not as good as carrie

I was at the concert! Everyone loved her performance of it. You can tell that she knows the song goes over well because she performs it in a way that it stands out above the rest. I think the song is amazing. I think Carrie is amazing. Great video! :)

I love this song to. Its one of my favorites but I don't know if It would be a good single. IMO I think it's a GREAT song, but i've heard a lot of people say they don't like it just because towards the ends its so repetitive. So I'm not really sure it would do good as a single, but she should definitely sing it on tv appearances more.

Yeah she sings the same words but come on, it's the chorus people. Carrie holds out the last note at the end of the second run thru on the chorus and then takes up "I Know You" a 1/3 of an octive on the third run thru.

People have to hopefully see past the repetitiveness and feel what the song is really about. =)

I love this song, I also agree that more words aren't needed. The simplicity of this song combined with the passion in her voice just makes it even more real to me. Those of us that have been thrown into a situation like this understand that many words are not needed or realistic, sometimes words are not even possible at such a time. I love to watch Carrie sing, when she hits those high notes and uses that unique Carrie body language to express her passion, it's nothing short of magical.

Agreed. You almost have to listen to it a few times to get use to the repetitive end.

It does match the song however in that the song is speaking to her frustration and crying over her loss...
