  • I prefer the 6-chime...Hancock Inspirator whistles are the only loco-whistles that all sound the same! I have several of these and when blown on steam, I can't tell one from another. I have three long-bell Nathan-6 chimes; each sounds different.

  • NAW. The B&O whistle sounds more like a fast passenger train.

The Hancock 3 chime's melodious "voice" fit the old 734 lugger to a tee.

  • I had this same view several years ago in the cab of the Milwaukee Road 261 on a cab ride out of Deluth Minnisota talk about a pretty sounding whistle this whistle does sound good on 734 though

  • Sounds great! Honestly I prefer the Hancock on 734 but this sounds just plain awesome!

  • Seems like it's been on here for a few weeks now. Is this going to be a permanent change from the Hancock?

  • Cool! But I miss that fantastic Hancock.

  • Its a very nice whistle

  • Its sounds great. I think that might honestly be a better fit with 734.. Though the hancock does seem like a good match to 734 as well

  • I think it sounds nice! Honestly, I've been waiting to hear a deeper sounding 6 chime whistle on it.

  • @Miketherailfan: yeah it is a pretty whistle.

  • hey mike where did the B&O 6 chime come from?

  • Love that whistle!

  • What happened to the Hancock 3 chime?

  • That does not sound like #734!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
