  • HE IS SO PERFECT!

  • Dear Aaron Gillespie. Marry Me.

  • <3 <3 <3 Yes. God loves us all. How incredible to think of! I am so thankful that there ARE real men in the world who aren't afraid to stand up and tell people about our Savior. Thank you Aaron.

  • UnderOath > The Almost

  • This man, and both of his bands have influenced my life the most. Ever. If there was one thing I could say to Aaron Gillespie, it'd be thankful. And the same to each member of UO and The Almost. I fucking despise religion, but I've come to know of something greater than me. And I wouldn't have heard of it unless I had heard these bands. Thank you, so much Aaron.

  • wow he was the drummer in under oath holy shit!!!

  • Through everything....the man ran UnderOath, and they will forever be one of my all time bands. May they continue without him for the meantime, but something tells me he will be back.

  • So inspiring.

  • Wow thats really cool.

  • Legend bro

  • Aaron you at an insperation I praise god for how he is using you don't get disheartened and stay strong

  • hes so brainwashed

  • Gold bless you Aaron Gillespie!

  • Thank you so much Aaron. This really helped me understand

  • underoath sucks without him </3

  • I want so bad to believe in something, and this music inspires me to.

But I can't. There's too many bad things in the world, and the bible doesn't make sense to me.

I want to believe that some man died thousands of years ago to help me, I want to believe that I'm loved constantly. But I can't.

  • @adirtygaspump dude, i agree with you that this world is sooooo messed up. it's beyond messed up beyond comprehension. and there are very few good ppl these days. and some that seem like good ppl are fake. and i've had a lot of drama in my life. and i've shed a lot of tears. but it's not God's faul man. God just wants there to be free will and doesn't want to force ppl to do anything. and there's just a lot of messed up ppl. but please dont let this world get the best of you.

  • @adirtygaspump God truly does love you no matter what you're goin through. and i cant really blame you for not believing. i've had my doughts before. but you just gotta be strong. i used to cut myself a long time ago. and i cut so bad, i still have scars on my arms from like a year ago. but i dont do that anymore. God is the way. now if im feelin depressed, i pray to God to get me through it. and he does. but even if you dont believe, Jesus still loves you and is waiting with arms wide open. :)

  • the name of the 3:00 song is Dirty and Left Out - the almost

  • Aaron, I'm starting a church in Greenville, SC based on this kind of open faith. I've been following your career since my brother introduced me to your music. And your particular brand of sincere Christ-like-ness resonates with me more than I could express. Simply, we're on the same page. I don't know how long it will take to reach this calling, but when it comes around, I would be honored if you guys could play a show there. I have faith that this vision I've received will mean something.

  • cant explain how the Lord touches your heart but every time he does it is like you are flying and the tears of joy coming rushing down your face. Glory Be to The Lord of lords. Peace,Love,Forgiveness.

  • the ALMOST!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

  • @lenchmobbof1

Trust issues? Wouldnt that be under No faith? Cant really believe anything until someone or something proves it.

  • that effing awesome

  • easy a big word called FAITH thats what religion is all about

  • I wish I had as much faith as he does. This video really makes me want to beliece and open up but I have trust issues. Why should I believe someones up there taking care of us? HOW can I believe that?

  • when i was in a low bad dark place i listen to this band every day and it brought me closer to god. its amazing what he can do and i totally agree with arron when he says music is HEART PULLING. listen to this band their music is beautiful ill always be a fan even if arron is no longer appart of it sadly!

  • What's the song at the end after Dirty & Left Out?

  • he was the drummer he left to push his own ministry with his project called The Almost. Great music intense and 100% God speaking through him

  • he was the drummer he left to persue his own ministry with The Almost.

  • is he the drummer of underoath?

  • Aaron Gillespie is like Tim Tebow of hardcore music.

  • @helloimdildo tim tebow is a bad football player

  • Gives me chills..

  • What's the song called starting at 1:49

  • @KoolSpeed Desperate times desperate measures - underoath on there album lost in the sound of seperation

  • Hey So if you love acoustic music, I think you'd really enjoy my channel! I just started it this week and it's a little tricky getting enough views so you pop up on the search! Please come check out my channel and listen to my cover of "Amazing Because it is" By The Almost :D Thanks

  • You ever notice how people who believe in creationism look really, erm, unevolved? Eyes close together, clueless look etc "I believe god made me in 1 day" "yeh man looks like he rushed it"

  • Aaron Gillespie is an Inspiration <3

  • I've been doubting asking God to show me he was real,And as the tears run down my face I know I didn't just stumble on this video.

  • @silentevil77 God works in beautiful and mysterious ways, He loves you so much and i pray that you find a deeper love for Him and get to that point of desperation point to want to seek and follow Him

  • @strawberryswisher213 Thank you,Thankful now I get what life is about I let someone get to me and mess with my thoughts but with the power and will of God I am away from them now.

  • OW FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. His body is his Temple and if he has piercings and tats so be it..It just goes to show that at the end of the day it's what's on the inside that COUNTS!

    Praise god.

  • what's the underoath song when they introduce them

  • i agree with lazyboy293. I was homeless and living in a rescue mission for some time in my life. We had to go to church 4x a week and everything. Let me tell you, they didn't even have a tv there. So it seems kind of hypocritical that he has "defaced" his body.

  • Umm...I'm just saying that since aaron quit underoath it's not the samee...and there is nothing wrong with pre-marital sex, i mean yeah you shouldn't do it, but sometimes things just happen...

  • this guy is so genuine and honest in everything that he says, man even if i wasn't already a devote christian I'd want to be after hearing this guy tell his story and talk about God. He has fame, money, everyone loves him, and he still hasn't lost sight of what's truly important. All of my respect to him.

  • To all those who think metal is just full of Satan worshipers and disgusting people...

  • If he is Christian, why does he have tattoos and a nose pierceing?

  • Christianity is a Verb. its not just a thing or a belief but its an action <3

  • you know... ive never met him personally but i love this guy.

im happy to know literally my favorite band underoath that he was a apart of that.

to believe is a first before a worship.

to know is more then just to think. ive found myself through hell and god pulled me out because he loved me i still think how i can be this way to the person i was.

but i remember i was reborn through god.

  • great vid

  • See if Aaron hadn't been brought up in this religion, he wouldn't be feeling so bad about having pre-marital sex.

Also, if he believes he is a child of God, and thus that his body comes from God, and thus that his body is perfect, then why does he feel the need to get tattoos and piercings? I'm not personally against tattoos, but just looking for a little consistency in his though process...

  • Pre-marital sex is only a sin if you make it a sin. If you don't believe it's a sin, then it doesn't have to be. If you do believe it's a sin, and then you do have it, that's where guilt comes in; whereas if you don't believe it's a sin, and then you do have it, you don't have to worry about feeling guilty.

  • @BMac279 It IS a sin since God made it only for it. He made it for marriage to protect us and not to mention it's the biggest sin you can commit against yourself. It's FORNICATING which the Bible says not to do! And read Galatians 5:19-21!

Also, not to mention, A SIN IS A SIN AT THE CROSS. THERE IS NO SOMETIMES SIN, HALFWAY A SIN, OR HIGHER SIN. THEY'RE EQUAL.

  • @PanicAtTheCavern: It is a sin to you, friend, but not to me. If you want to believe that pre-marital sex is a sin, that's fine, but that doesn't mean I have to believe it. You believe The Bible; I don't. That doesn't mean I'm anti-Christian -- in fact I grew up in a Catholic household -- and it doesn't mean I don't think The Bible has lots of great advice in it, I do. However, I choose not to put all my money on one book so to speak. If it works for you, though, I am glad. Peace.

  • @BMac279 And explain pull your money? And why wouldn't you believe it if you're not ant-Christian? Anti-Christian is the opposites of Christians. Christians read/study the Bible, non-Christians don't. And it's not just advice, it's life.

  • @PanicAtTheCavern I like parts of The Bible. I think there is great advice in there, but there are also things I don't like about it. So when I say "I choose not to put all my money on book," I mean I don't put all my faith in one book. I don't believe in Zeus, but does that make me anti-Zeus? Of course not. It just means I don't believe in him. You can believe in him if you want. And a Christian is someone who adheres to Christianity, which may or may not include reading/studying.

  • @BMac279 So I'm assuming you don't believe in anything. And Christianity is no practice. It's a person. A person who knows Christ. They don't practice Christianity but they are a Christian. To become like Jesus or at least try because that's all we can do is try to be like Jesus. We have a relationship like a best friend or father. We don't sit here and say 'We do this and we don't do that". And yes, Christianity does involve reading/studying. As a Christian, you want to read and study-

  • @BMac279 -God's word because we are so on fire for God, we want to do those kind of things. We want to learn and obey Jesus. Also, reading the Bible can connects us and grow our relationship with Christ. Without reading and studying it, how are we supposed to share the word? How are we supposed to get a word from God? How are we supposed to lift ourselves up? How are we going to be like Christ if we don't study what Christ did? The Bible is a must. But I'll be praying for you and that somebody-

  • @PanicAtTheCavern: Because I don't believe in all facets of Christianity, I don't believe in anything? I don't follow. Christianity is not a person, it is a belief system. A Christian is a person who practices Christianity. Your Christianity involves reading and studying, but Christianity does not have to involve reading and studying.

  • @BMac279 Christian=Relationship=Becoming Christ-like which outcomes for you to become a person that is holy. And yes, it should involve that. Christianity should involve, reading, studying, worshiping, and living like Christ as much as we can.

  • @PanicAtTheCavern: So, when you read The Bible, friend, do you find yourself agreeing with the part that says wives should be subservient to their husbands?

  • @BMac279 Will bring you to church so that you can feel the Holy Spirit of God and worship unashamed and become a living disciple.

  • @PanicAtTheCavern: I just got back from 5 o'clock mass about a half hour ago, friend.

  • @PanicAtTheCavern: Notice around :30, when he talks about listening to Billy Graham, and then being afraid of going to hell. This can do serious damage to a child's mind and psyche, thinking that certain things they do will make them go to hell.

  • @BMac279 The fear of YHWH is the beginning of knowledge. It is the best way to become a Christian. Fearing God is a realization of who God is. You can't understand how amazing the love and grace of Christ is until you realize how big of a hole you are in. Any man can dig a hole but it takes a real man to call it home. The realization is that we are all sinners so lost and there is nothing we can do to redeem ourselves. That's why Jesus came into the world, to seek and save the lost.

  • @BMac279 dude Jesus talked about going to hell and the fear that we should have in out hearts. He spoke more of hell than heaven and salvation combined, Im sure everyone who heard, great or small, young or old, was thinking of some crazy stuff, and you know what it sounds normal. I dont want to go to hell, so does that make me crazy for not wanting to go to a bad place does it? Im glad Billy Grahm spoke to Aaron, I look up to him and honestly just from hearing him hes made and impact on my life.

  • @GOdrummer123: No it doesn't make you crazy to go to not want to go to a bad place. But teaching kids that there is a bad place instills in them fear that I just don't think is healthy for children. Again, I'm not anti-Christian, I just disagree with parts of the faith. If it is working for you, I am glad. I hope people get a positive experience out of it. But that also doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion.

  • @BMac279 oh wow guys we got another, oh ummm bleh...that doesnt mean I cant voice my opinion....dude I never said you couldnt voice ur opinion so quit ur whining, im not here to piss anyone off. All I'm saying is that even Jesus said those kind of things and more. Is he a bad person for speaking truth, is billy grahm a bad person for speaking truth. man society today is pathetic, uhhh bleh spanking my child is now considered rape and also telling children about hell is not good for their mind.

  • @BMac279 Notice how the Bible says “...because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband”- 1st Corinthians 7:2. And, “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge”- Hebrews 13:4.

Notice how all of my sources are from the WORD OF GOD and yours is from... nowhere. Hmm...

  • Respect brotha

  • @ShortStackFangirl it's Underoath - desperate times desperate measures

  • he looks so nervous when hes talking about having premarital sex.

  • whats the song playing at 1:56??

  • that smile he has when he says you have to be honest to know jesus, i don't know there's just something about it

  • wow!

  • He gives me hope in religion. <3

  • @Erickk9100 thats good man and I'm glad for you....but remember. its not a religion, its a personal relationship with a Jesus himself [=

  • From this video and other ones I understand now why Aaron left underoath and to be honest I'm glad he did.

  • Oh my god this is fucking hilarious. Just another awesome story about pushing views on other people. Scared of Hell? Good. Lots of things are scary on this planet. Face them with courage. Do not hide behind the gates of Heaven.

  • @Iwatchtrek I dont see how you can get that he is trying to "push views" on anyone in this video. Hes simply sharing the truth. and you're right its good to be scared of Hell. because its all too real. When there is a choice of the love of Jesus Christ and eternity in heaven i dont understand why you would want to spend it in Hell. Theres no other option its heaven or hell. you choose in this lifetime where you want to be and i hope you can find the Hope that I have in Jesus.

  • @tryoung13 Jesus may have died for -you-, but he didn't die for me. Someone who lived 2,000 years before my birth does not get to enter me into a binding contract that makes me sinless so I can go to Heaven. God created with me, "Free Will" right? I face Hell. I don't do anything bad. I don't hurt anyone, but simply because I turn from following a "faith" I will go to Hell. So be it. Enjoy living your life devoted to that ancient religion, whether its real or not, it's sad and strangling.

  • @Iwatchtrek What about all the atheists and secular humanists out there that can't even travel down a street, without going to the highest form of government to try and have a cross on a church removed? Who's trying to "push their beliefs" now? Seriously, you DON'T have to listen to someone who is speaking their mind, or talking about their faith. They are not pushing their views on anyone. So take it easy dude, this guy is not forcing you to believe what he does.

  • @aaronfowlowmusic Seriously? Because at the end of the video the guy is telling people that Jesus loves them and wants to know them. How the fuck does he know that? What gives him the right to say that? He isn't the word of "God", no one but GOD is. So what gives any of you the right to speak for your fucking creator? How could you POSSIBLY even begin to understand your creator? If he is everything at once and nothing at once, how could he be contained in a single fucking fantasy book?

  • @aaronfowlowmusic In fact, even pretending you understand this "God" is a joke. Telling other people what this "god" thinks is IMPOSSIBLE. You will never be anything even remotely like your "God", and God even tells us in Genesis that "If we eat the fruit - we will be like them", meaning him and Satan. God wants to KEEP YOU Human, he wants you to be uneducated and he wants you to have the understanding you do - Which is no understanding at all.

  • @Iwatchtrek Now who's trying to push their views? LOL! Anyways, have a nice day man, and be blessed. Just don't make me your enemy, i'm not trying to be one. Just saying that people sharing their faith, or what they believe, is not an attempt to push their views on you. It's ok to have your opinion about Christianity, but at least don't panic when you hear someone talking about it.

  • @aaronfowlowmusic You can't tell me to be blessed either - bro. Who gave you that right? Just remember, self-entitlement is what makes religion annoying. Humans don't get to say all encompassing things like that without pissing people off.

  • @Iwatchtrek Ok then man, haha, um... I hope you have a good day. Is that better? But who gave me the right? I dunno, maybe the constitution, or my rights to freedom of speech. :-p But hey, I am not self entitled to anything. I'm glad that I have these rights. The rights to worship, the right to speak, the right to live, all of those. I mean, enough people fought so that I could have those rights, so I enjoy them, with thanks.

  • @aaronfowlowmusic Are we going Biblically? Because Biblically you can't Bless or Curse me.

  • @Iwatchtrek Calm down dude! I'm wishing you well lol! Are you always this untrusting? Seriously, I'm not going to force anything on you, or even try to push my views on you about religion and Christianity, or the Bible, or Jesus, or God. You have heard it all, it's your choice, so it's your decision, not mine man. I don't do it with my friends, my family, or strangers, and i'm not about to start pushing it on you. So chill out man, not all Christians are thumping their Bibles at you.

  • this is why , i love gingers <3

  • I've been a Christian my whole life. Recently, I departed from the faith. I don't know what happened, I just kind of thought more and realized that it's difficult to understand what or who God really is, and the idea that I can have it all pinned down really bothered me. But this video has really reunited me with the concept of Christianity. Aaron Gilespie is a truly loving, soulful guy, and I think the world would be a better place if it followed his example.

  • @PicturaSonus Dude that's good to hear, man. I was the same way for about 3 years, and it was something very simple, that showed me. It's not easy, i'm not perfect, just another sinner saved by grace. I had to accept that and simply realize I cannot ever change that. But that tells me, it's not by my power, but through the blood.

  • i believe rape is different. but knowingly having sex out of lust is the same as murdering.

  • @deathmetalgrl15 Not talking about rape. Im talking about being in a manipulative relationship. Some people are willing to give it their all to others which is most likely to lead to heart breaks. Besides have u read the bible lately? You don't even know what your saying. People commit mistakes...hopefully they learn from it but God loves us and for one mistake...God isnt gonna convict us. oh and btw youve lied before..everyone has so does that mean you committed adultery? Get out of here..

  • @deathmetalgrl15 Really?....like Really? wow

  • @bomberlink Say This Sooner

  • WHat's the first song playing?

  • That's amazing...

  • sorry for the bad spelling

  • what song is that @ 1:50?

  • Comment removed

  • i really wish people would stop worrying about things that dont truly mean anything (premarital sex, other "sins") and just live there lives. Such a waste worrying your whole life away when it's such a precious thing that is only ever given to us once.

    Please wake up

  • @thebeastlybaker i think you need to be convicted over sins. God didnt give us commandments to have them broken, and it breaks his heart when we break them. having premarital sex is the same as murdering someone. lying is the same as adultery. all sins are equal. we need to be convicted.

  • @deathmetalgrl15 are you kidding? How about those young girls (and at times guys) who are with a manipulative person and they commit that mistake of giving them their all? It is FAR from murdering. Think about what your saying...seriously.

  • Anybody know what song they were playing when they played the clip of him w/ Underoath?? Can't seem to find it.

  • @cestherrun Desperate Times, Desperate Measures

  • @JoseehCore Thanx! :)

  • Why is there a mormon ad at the top? Haha, wtf?

  • virgins lol ^^^

  • It is 1:32 am, August 14th, 2011, here, in Los Angeles, California. By this video, I was literally brought to tears. God Bless.

  • @immabeeashley Were you high?

  • I love this interview! I can't believe what he said about his anxiety problems because I developed this same disorder bad recently. Thank You God for leading me to this video.

  • SEE. Gingers have souls too!

  • whats the song at 2:24 ?

  • @matthewshredder "Dirty and left out", the one after the coolest off the album imo =D!

  • "Bless those who persecute you; Bless and do not curse... Do not repay anyone evil for evil... If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."

These are the very words of Jesus. Keep them in mind as you defend your faith.

  • I guess he has a way with words... this stands out from other testimonials & is just really moving.

  • @Katey0112 The honesty in his voice is so evident!

  • i love him, he just so...normal, and humble, i would love to meet him, he's 1of my inspirations : ) i love how he's so secure in God, & not afraid 2 talk about it, &of how he's learned from his past mistakes &admitting that he's not perfect, that sometimes we fall but that we can always pick ourselves of, rely on God &do the right thing : ) it's annoying when people try to pretend that they're perfect because they're Christian, we all hav faults, how you learn & change is wot matters <3

  • I understand completely now. At 1:18, Aaron talks about drumming ONLY for God! (Maybe that's why he left Underoath). Maybe he felt that he was drawing away from his calling and felt the only thing to do was leave the band. Amazing story!!!

  • I agree with @pivitforlife , I totally respect Aaron, Underoath was always my favourite band, but everyone has a right to choose their own religion, no one should should one upon another, there isn't one that is better then the other, All religions are true to someone, up to that one individual, and no one else.

  • thank you for this. thank you jesus for using aaron.

  • It's amazing that there are still people who understand that pre-marital sex is wrong. I am a Christian and I feel like a lot of other Christians even ignore the fact that it is a sin. Following the purity code just erases so much unnecessary stress and worry. I think that even people who aren't Christian should really try to do that.

  • @shasha66999 why

  • @shasha66999 Why does god let babies die if they have commited no sin?

  • @shasha66999 the thing is, that's your religion, Christianity, so non-Christians shouldn't have to follow a Christian belief. Sex is natural so therefore I wouldn't consider it a sin, even before marriage. Animals don't get married then have sex, and humans are animals too. Everyone's belief is different and it should be accepted.

  • @KjS1710 THANK YOU you said it better than i did

  • @atorfin383 no worries!

  • @shasha66999 hey man it's cool that you are christian and all. but shut up, stop preaching enjoy youtube for what it's for. "people who aren't christian should really try to do that." cmon man live your life and i'll have sex when i want to. and we will all be happy still.

  • @shasha66999 also the numbers in your name is a sexual reference. and by your beleifs turning upside down and sucking eachother off is a sin...

  • @shasha66999 hey i don't want to sound stupid but can you explain what pre-martial sex is?

  • @SuperMetalteacher sex before marriage basically

  • I can't wait to get that telecaster

  • I'm in love

  • I love that man. o.o I'm Athiest, but I love how deep he is with his religion. It's something real to him and I respect that.

  • In my mind i think that Christianity is the biggest religion, beacuse it makes more sence, i mean is about being a good person belive in the love of Jesus Christ and God, Jesus is the name of love the kindest man who ever lived and the people who don't understand that and saying that all this is just crap, they are Blind, Idiots and lost persons in this world and they can just go to Fuck themselfs.

  • @alex1234567istheshiz the dirty and left out by the almost

  • TRUE stuff! If only we could talk about my story together you are a part of helping me out of my whole.

  • i love aarom i saw him in kemah at boomin by the bay

  • The one true highest god doesnt give a shit i personally believe if you have sex before you're married.lol

  • You belive or you dont you have a right to your opinion. If your a christian you know that you cant deal with the people who keep denying and denying. It doesnt matter what religion you are. Your way of life should be to help and treat others with respect. So both sides. Shut up. Neither of you are gunna win an argument. No one has since the world began. Praise the lord

  • Aaron Gillespie needs to wake up.

  • @joelarge87

Stuff you, did you not just watch this amazing video?!

  • @joelarge87 shut the hell up, you're an ignorant degenerate.

  • @joelarge87 oh my, aaron has woken up. clearly you haven't, there's no need to be negative towards a positive message.

  • 4:12 i beg for the song name

    4:12

  • 3:52 i beg for the song name

  • Aaron is awesome! God Bless

  • 1:52, can someone please tell me what song is that?

    Thanks.

  • I like that ginger kid ;) <333

  • what an awesome guy and testimony!

  • @cranky112 Desperate Times Desperate Measures

  • what's the name of the song by underoath at 1:48? >.<

  • Hey, I know I'm about to sound dumb here (lol), but do any of you know the name of the song that was playing right after Aaron said he got the call from Underoath? Thanks :]

  • @MultiNatester or you could simply go by logic and realize that proving the existence or non-existence of a supernatural being is impossible. Although this guy might be trying to sell his religion, it is unrelated to the fundamental rules of logic used to attempt to explain the nature of the universe

  • fuck you Aaron! what happened to you

  • @Bullet4MyAngelS what do you mean?

  • This guy's a fucking douche. He try's 2 sell his religion and he thinks he knows everything there is 2 know about shit like that when he's only in his 20's.

  • @MultiNatester hes right though jesus is the only way

  • @druss675 Or you could simply go by logic and realize that there is no god.

  • @MultiNatester Do you honestly think you have to be an elder to be able to preach the word of God? It shows how little you know about Christ and faith all together. When you get to know God and study and grow with God your age doesn't matter at all. God calls anyone to spread love and teach others about his word no matter of the age. I know middle schoolers who can preach the word of God better than a 50 year old pastor who's known God half of his life.

  • @MultiNatester Did he once say he knows everything? And the bible says to spread the word of God, and you're calling him a douche for obeying God.

He's not trying to sell his religion. He is letting people know how it IS, he said it's all right if you don't believe.

If you're gonna act this way, go to Westboro Baptist Church, They're the false prophets and "douches", Not Aaron.

  • Description should read: Aaron talks about his faith.

Title should read: Aaron talks about his faith.
