  • the exhaust tips look like shit and it sounds stock sorry bud

  • I see your running a mid-pipe, but w/o a CEL... how did you manage that??

  • @travisrex11 Cobb Accessport lets you reprogram the ECU, this includes deleting a CEL you don't want :)

  • @tyrannical You can also use an 02 simulator to prevent CELs. That's what I do on my 6S.

  • Do you have a favorite exhaust for the rx-8? I'm in the market, and have tried looking around my area for anyone with a system that I can hear in person...but haven't gotten much response.

Also, do you just have the mazdaspeed bumper on there, or is it the full kit? I love look that the front bumper gives the car, but I'm not ready to shell out for the full kit. Thanks.

  • I don't want to sound stupid but.. 1) is it OK to rev high like crazy with the engine cold on a Wankel? 2) is it OK to rev above idle before turning off the engine on a Wankel? These 2 things aren't usually good for piston engines...

  • @AWDfreak You're right, those things are bad for piston engines, but it's also bad for a rotary. The spark happens on one side of the wankel. This means that one side of the engine heats up (expands) faster than the other. You will cause damage by reving it high while cold. In this video, you'll hear me reving it to 4k rpm when it's cold (similar to reving to 2k in a diesel). In the later clip where I'm pushing the car, it's already warmed up. I drove around for a while first.

  • How did you get the CEL(check engine light) to stay off?

  • So which is you favorite exhaust so far? I was thinking about getting HKS legamax with a new catalytic converter. And is that a CAI I see?

  • love this vid man. Was that catless midpipe hard to install? Is there any wiring you have to do, or take off?

  • @PolemicArts midpipe is easy... don't even need to take off the catback to install it. It's 3 bolts on the header, and 2 on the catback. And there's one rubber hanger. You'll have to unscrew the sensor after the cat, but not a big deal.

  • In your opinion what was the best intake you used? I know they don't provide much of a gain though.

  • @Soldier0117 I like AEM's CAI the best. Works well in NA, and can still be used if you go turbo. Plus it's the same as the Mazdaspeed CAI (just rebranded) with lower cost.

  • Why did you went to NA again from turbo??Did anything brake??I want to know bwcause i am thinking to go turbo someday ...

  • turbo manifold cracked. So it had to come off to be repaired.

  • tHANKS FOR THE INFO..wAS IT THE greddy manifold or somekind of conversion to fit the Garret turbine??Would you suggest the greddy kit after your experience even with the Garret upgrade??

  • whoop!

Still lazy to lurk in rx8club what happens next...

  • ...and SevenStock was just great.

  • Informative and humerous! Well done :D

  • You're a funny man.

    lol
