  • This guy is just insane on some gospel man. And its because he felt and loved it. =)

  • @chrisyxoxo wow i just live your comment!! Im 44 and i love elvis i have a huge collection of memorabilia and my mom saw him in vegas and my 9 year old loves elvis, when michael jackson died i went to L.A and i saw a little girl about7 or. 8 years old crying her eyes out holding a picture of michael and know i understand why, thank you

  • Damn! Why is it so short!!

  • Elvis was the king of rock n roll and in my opinion but dont forget JESUS king of all kings, lord of all lords without JESUS Elvis couldnt have did anything

  • Before Justin Bieber, there was Elvis!

  • great, this video which year is it? 1970 right??or 71?

  • @rogargaro15 1970

  • Easily the best version of this song on youtube. Probably ever. That's just the way Elvis did things.

  • Never again will we see such a talent! Simply the best..

  • OMG..Aaron.. Arn't we way in the closet? Or a child molester.. What's wrong with you? I did not expect to read or even post but reading what I did..

  • CLICK ON: disccentury, GOSPEL MUSIC, NEVER SEEN

  • I get chills and tears in my eyes every time I hear and watch Elvis. And i am only 17, Its AMAZING how someone from 30-50 years ago can effect me now. He will always be the greatest entertainer to ever live. He was beautiful, kind, humble, generous, charming, gifted, and devoted to God. No one will ever come CLOSE to reaching his standards and level of perfection and talent.

God Bless! Elvis is home now! <3

  • @Chrisyxoxo You make a great comment about Elvis.

  • @Odd879 its not hurtful things the truth is read the bible. haha and your saying bigot and ill see you in hell and more bs words your the one saying hurtful and dumb words not me i speak the truth unlike you.

  • @aaronracine What have I said hurtful? You called me a child rapist. You don't know me. You've shown everyone that reads this page that you hate gays, and that you think I am a......what did you call it again? Say it again for our newcomers..........I don't see anything but hate in your comments. I will ask my question again. "In what way do you compare the vocal styles of Freddie Mercury and Elvis similiar? Why would you compare the two? Per your original statement....."

  • @Odd879 go back to faggot jacksons site where you belong and get off the king elvis presleys video now

  • @aaronracine I am just showing everyone the ignorance you say. You stop. I love Elvis, and I am not gay. I love music, I hate bigotry, there is no reason for it. Why do you say hurtful things?

  • @Odd879 and all fags are going to hell so read your bible ok? and bigot who cares its the truth your a rapist leave me alone or im reporting you this is a elvis presley video and you made it into deep details and arguments.

  • @aaronracine Details, and arguments? You got hateful, I want a civil discussion about the comparison of the King to Freddie Mercury............You said things, unbecoming............You. My question was How do you put the singing styles together in comparison? What if I compared Elvis to Tina Turner? Would that upset you?

  • There's a reason why Elvis is the only performer to have 172 Albums /Records go Gold, Platinum or Multiplatinum. Oh, he's the only performer to have sold over a billion records worldwide. Unbelievable.

  • His voice is an angel singing, I cannot imagine a better singer then this man right here. God Bless you Elvis, hes in heaven right now singing gospel with his mom and dad

  • ELVIS should have made a recorded version of this song. The version in the video was just a rehearsal and he nailed it and in my estimation his version is the best.

  • I'm sure he is in heaven now and he sings in a band with Jesus.

  • love love love

    The best Elvis presley

  • muito bom

    muy bueno

    very good

  • I love Elvis Gospel

  • god bless you elvis

  • look at lamars face at 1.13....elvis was blowing them away and this was a rehearsal...lol...what a talent and what a monumental waste,,billy smith, elvis" cousin said of him he dug his own grave..god bless this once in a lifetime talent..He had it all and the drugs just took it all away from him..rest in peace

  • im gonna sing this 2morrow

  • Que día tan feliz, como cada día que EL SEÑOR me regala.... El verdadero protagonista de esta canción no es el instrumento sino lo que suena a través de él.

    /watch?v=8aZO85MVsPI

  • Me gusta monton

  • Elvis poured his heart and soul into this spiritual song. The complete TTWII rehearsals and concerts should officially be released on DVD . Thank you for uploading.

  • Wow! E was really into it. Raw Power This was a glimpse into Elvis, when he is enjoying the music.. These moments are precious, no matter how brief or long they may be. As I was typing this, I looked down at what tonyrac67 said. He couldn't be more WRONG. Elvis was close very close to his faith in God,just listen to the way he sang Gospel. Elvis read about all the Faiths. I am 64 years old,I have followed Elvis since I was 12. Tonyrac67 apparently knows nothing of ELVIS.

  • ol elvis..TRUE rock and roll from good ol Tupelo MISSISSIPPI!

  • Pure passion!

  • DONT INCLUDE MFAGJACKSON IN THE SAME SENTENCE AS ELVIS PRESLSY

  • DONT INCLUDE MFAGJACKSON IN THE SAME SENTENCE AS ELVIS PRESLSY

  • Jesus, Elvis and Michael jackson are the true kings.. Ya ha.

  • @TheLadyInTheRedScarf AREYOU KIDDING ME ?YOU DIDNT PUT FAGIT JACKSON IN SAME SENTENCE AS ELVIS PRESLEY ,ARE YOU SICK IN THE HEAD??????

  • @tonyrac67 Get a life you queer asshole!

  • @tonyrac67 looool ... u talkin MJ but you you should be more concerned that she say JEsus in the same sentence....both MJ and Elvis will never even close to JEsus. First of all Elvis is sing alot of Christian songs but he was involved in the occult....and he was womaniser etc.....his fake passionate look in the songs is got nothing to do with his faith in JEsus...he just enjoynig the song like any other song he sings.....MJ was also in the occult

  • long live the king! everything he did he put life into it, not like all these artificial 'stars' today!!

  • Oh HAPPY DAY> HE makes every day happy for me. I Love the ELVIS GOSPEL songs because I KNOW HIS HEART BELONGED TO THE LORD. JESUS CHRIST WAS AND IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE KING OF KINGS and YES ELVIS DOES AND DID AGREE. Hugs and many thanks Bobbie

  • I sure wish he would have done this-a complete version in 1 of his Aug,1970 shows!

So glad I have my That's The Way It Is Complete Shows dvd set though!

    Elvis still is DA MAN!

  • @pageglen: There is one live version from August 1970, and it's awesome!

  • Can someone shut up the sycophants?

  • wonderful !

  • ARE YOU AN ELVIS FAN,ARE YOU RELIGIOUS? I have the audio of Elvis saying famously during a concert that "Jesus Christ is the King" on my channel. I hope you like it. It's quite rare. If you like the video share it with your Elvis friends on youtube, they will appreciate it. Many people have heard this story over and over again ,but very few have heard it from Elvis himself.

  • grande cantor ele, seviu muito a Deus antes da fama e do dinheiro, espero que ele tenha se arrempendido antes de morrer

  • 67 dislikes really? wow! nobody could put more into that song than Elvis did right there!

  • What a shame that the Devil made him a slave of drug addiction.

    RIP Elvis.

  • I like the rehersals better then the live shows.

  • thx for sharing...

  • Amen.

  • He will always be The Great Elvis Presley!

There could never be anyone like him, because he was one of a kind

  • freddie and elvis are equally brilliant singers

  • freddie and elvis are equally brilliant

  • the original version by the hawkins singer is good also

  • The best voice/ singer ever, coming from a 26 year old not from his time.

  • I'm not a king! Christ is King! I'm just a singer. - Elvis Presley.

  • oh the hair... :)

  • Remember when you were a little kid, and you stood at the curb and watched the parade pass by? Remember how you felt inside when they hit those drums? That's how I feel when I hear Elvis.

  • ELVIS ONTEM,HOJE E COM CERTEZA PRA SEMPRE!!!!

  • many people with the issues he had tried their best but addiction is a hard thing to beat...his gospel singing could have been his way of crying out

  • Get down!

  • I love his gospel music but am sad he lived such a sin filled life to never meet the Saviour he sang about.

  • @Subhuman80 I don't think it's our place to make that judgment or to speak for God. Too many people in responsible positions have done that and the world is worse off for it. And guess what? Some of them handed over our Lord to be crucified.

  • beautiful and his voice never ceases to amaze me!

  • tanti auguri a tutti

  • was Elvis christian?

  • @HSong4ever

    yes, he was.

  • @HSong4ever ELVIS a member of the Pentacostal Holiness Church a.k.a. Holy Rollers. The term Holy Rollers was meant to hurt members of the denomination because of them speaking in tongues and rolling in the isles and shouting during church services.

  • ELVIS WILL ALWAYS BE KING!!!!! God made him and blessed him and knew his heart....no one else is to judge 'lest they be judged

  • Absolute LEGEND gone before my time but his music will forever live on. No to drugs kids.......................... Hence you will die. Make a mark in this life for you and you alone. Be a leader not a follower. God Bless you all. Be strong the Devil is amongst us, anyone that thinks differently is in denial, can`t have one without the other! Be strong xx

  • Who is Freddie , No one will ever come close to Elvis, just look after 33 years,.open your eyes and ears. Elvis is King of Rock and Roll, no one will ever come close, If some of these people put down Elvis why are they on his site?

  • My Age is only 26 but I still know ELVIS is the KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T CARE WHAT ANY ONE TRY TO SAY BECAUSE HE IS THE KING

    ALWAYS ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    TCB

  • Elvis was deep into the pills by this time. Praising Jesus didn't help him much.

  • @searcherboy: Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin were real junkies and overdosed. Elvis took pills - big deal. Still doesn't take away any of his magic.

  • @elvisinmunich I disagree. Watch any clips of live performances he gave in the last couple of years of his life (there aren't a lot of them, because they are so pathetic to look at). He was in his early 40s, but was a shadow of what he had once been. His vocal range was shot, his lung power was gone. He was a fat, sweaty oldies act. He was every bit as much a junkie as Hendrix, Morrison or Joplin, whether he used a needle or not.

  • @searcherboy: I agree with you to a certain extent, but not as far as his vocal power goes. He did have his ups and downs in the 70s, but have you ever listened to How Great Thou Art, My Way, Hurt or Unchained Melody from 1977? But let's focus on this video, shall we? Elvis was at his absolute best during the August 1970 Vegas season - pills or no pills. His 1970 concerts were just awesome.

  • @searcherboy You need to get real, Elvis still had all his vocal powers up until the day he passed away, He was not a junkie , He was a terrific human being that had problems and alot of them was cause by people like you. If you can"t say good things about people please keep your opinons to yourself ,look of all the good things he done. God loves us all, and God Bless.but please open your heart.

  • @searcherboy actually i think most would agree that his voice got better with age.his last concert ( which is sad not pathetic) he kicked some massive notes on 'hurt' and unchained melody.watch them and straighten out the facts before getting on any elvis site and downing him.

  • @elvisinmunich Amen,, thanks and God Bless

  • That's what's I call soul power a true brother

  • Wow truely amazing!!And 63 People dislikes this WTH.

  • Great to see this ; ) Thanks

  • Que voz! Que música! Lindo demais!

  • you will always be number 1 elvis and great song

  • am i dead

  • NO ONE CAN TOUCH HIS VOICE ,THAT INCLUDES FREDDY MERCURY

  • @aaronracine Hard to measure one truly great voice against another. One thing for sure, they were truly great voices.

  • @aaronracine Only by Freddie. Elvis and Freddie the King of Good Voices of two Sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Elvis is America and Freddie is Europe. You Can't Compare those two!!!!

  • @aaronracine freddie was fantastic at singing elvis was a deep voice singer were freddie could sing very high. i miss both of them.

  • @aaronracine

AWESOME! I love his voice... legendary. Never heard more clear and great singing...

  • @aaronracine

AWESOME! I love his voice... legendary. Never heard more clear and great singing...

  • @aaronracine And that's saying a lot.

  • @aaronracine - Psst! Turn 'caps lock' off.

  • @aaronracine why....why would you put Freddy Mercury and Elvis in the same sentence? That's rather odd.....I am not much an Elvis fan but I like Queen. I am not downing Elvis, just think it is an ODD comparison, like comparing Sinatra to Robert Plant.......or Johnny Cash to Corey Taylor..........

  • @Odd879 hes the king of rock thats y i compared them

  • @aaronracine The King of Rock? Sure. Let's compare Elvis to Tom Araya from Slayer. I am not bashing the King. I am just stating that comparing Elvis to another of a different era is kinda absurd. Every era has it's Elvis. Many might disagree who was the Elvis of their era, many would say Hendrix, perhaps. Compare Presley to Cash..2 different styles both considered Rock in their time..both did speed, lol..Ok Elvis (heart-throb) is the King why did you compare him to Freddy Mercury (homosexual)?

  • @Odd879 again I do not wish to be hurtful or hateful, just that I find it curious.

I WASENT COMPARING HIM TO FREDDIE HE WAS BETTER THAN FREDDIE.I HATE GAYS TOO IWAS TALKING ABOUT VOCAL TALENT.NO BODY CSN DO WHAT ELVIS DID.HE COULD SING ANY KIND OF MUSSIC AND DO IT AT HIGH LEVEL.ELVIS WAS NAMED #1 ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIME IN 2000.

You can reply to this message by visiting your inbox.

  • @Odd879 Yeah I have nothing against Elvis. I have nothing against gays. I have nothing against talent. Apparently aaronracine does have issues. In less than 12 hours he responded to something I said about the king that I did not mean hurtfully, that he posted 9 months ago. I thought about it reasonably and only came up with one answer.......I think you all know that answer so I need not say it..........

  • @aaronracine

  • PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is so beautiful! I have the Gospel version of In the Ghetto and Oh happy day in my channel.

  • Thank you again Lisa, your dad was an incredible entertainer. Thank God I met him once back in 1972 or 1973 at the Nassau Colleseum on Long Island, in New York. God Bless you and your family.

  • @18351835ERIP It must have been 22nd-23rd June 1973 when you saw Elvis, thats when he performed(3 shows) at Nassau Colleseum NY. I dont think he performed there in 1972.

  • Message to the World (Hope Song)

    love greetings,Gundy Carrington

  • This song was sung during the August rehearsals for his upcoming Las Vegas engagement. It was filmed for That's The Way It Is, but never made it into the final film.

  • does anyone know was this song sung in the concert or concert film?

  • Also, what sticks in this footage, is the smiles of his band, "rejoincing"....

  • This was a rehearsal, you can see clearly that Elvis, effortlessly, was checking if the arrangement was in the right place. Never the less, he was caught in the moment and gave one of his best vocals recorded on camera

  • the king

  • Have to say not my favourite elvis moment.

  • @100denmarkhill this was great!

  • Elvis is fabulous... always be will be.. no one will every come close to him... w/eva he sang it was perfect.. I miss him so much... !! glad his music lives on

  • As always, fabulous.

  • god bless happy, happy 10/10 2010 to CURACAO new Caribbean Island , goodbey netherlands antilles it was a blessed time, we will always wish you blesing God of the Holy Beloved "' ORANJES"' in the name Jezus. amen.

  • what a great song, was this song on any of his gospel albums ??

  • "There is only one king, The King of Kings." - Elvis Presley

  • A voice of no comparison!!

  • @hecnj001 We will always love and miss you dearly!!!

  • We will always love and miss you dearly!!!

  • I must be sleepy, I made several gramatical errors whew... But Anyways I loved both of these guys music, I Hated because both of them went out the way they did.

  • OK, I got a ? Whats the diffrence between Accidentyl OD'ing or telling a Doc to inject you with something that could kill you knowing it hasnt even been okayed by the Food and Drug administration? Nothing MJ OD' just like Elvis. Wheb people are "Adults they are resposible for what goes in their body's. rather it be assissted or not.

  • great !

  • What most people dont know he nevere toured.

  • @MrDriftonin he toured, just not outside america cos of colonel parker

  • I can say Old'McDonald is the best song or Barney is the best singer just becuz millions may not agree who says in my opinion I am wrong ,it is my opinion when it comes from my heart it becomes fact, what I'm saying is a lot of times people push U 2 believe in what THEY KNOW IS BETTER what is written in a book . No one seems to care about Elvis & Micheal than a mere number or comparison anymore ,it is killing the purity of music they really want to be remembered like this,R.I.P is REST IN PEACE

  • MJ did so much both accomplished alot in different era,s different types of music ,they were the same because they will never be forgotten by their loyal fans ,but there different because Elvis is Elvis and Michael is Michael. some can talk & degrade Elvis and look at MJ like he is perfect or close to it and vice versa, argue over record sales, who is the best artist, etc.when can they be looked at as humans not numbers on a chart that makes one better ,or if a book says so

  • Elvis was the first singer no longer living to head line a live concert,MJ toured the world Elvis could not because the colonel was an IMMIGRANT but elvis still has fans all over the world, his music just reaches out to people and I love personally that Elvis served his country,Elvis has the highest paid stamp,Graceland is the second most visited place it is a historic landmark,he has statues and street named after him as does michael ,Elvis is in 4 or 5 music hall of fames, Elvis did so much

  • @kathycuddles THANKS for the FACTS on ELVIS .

  • @bootseybuddy Elvis deserves to be remembered for alot of things he did ,he is a legend so no matter what people say about him or how they compare him, after over 30 years ,Elvis fans are still here from the old to the young

  • Elvis stole black music, thats another one I hear so often it is sounding like a broken record. Elvis made an impact in music history he was not perfect, he was the man of many firsts as was michael jackson ,MJ had thriller ,Elvis had the first via-satelitte concert shown in 40 different countries watched by over 1 billion people, mj was in the guiness book of world records as the best entertainer ,yea he could entertain with all the lights and technology, dance moves, whole lot of entertainment

  • @kathycuddles, plus Elvis never lip sinked like MJackson did in concert and on live TV. Elvis's voice was so amazing that he performed over 250 concerts in one year, sometimes two times a day. If MJ had to sing in all his 50 concerts, he would be in traction. MJ was great but Elvis sang rock, country, blues, gospel and anything else you threw at him and he had the most amazing vibrato I have ever heard. His voice literally melted people with its beauty. The comparison is laughable.

  • @controlpopulation Thanks for telling it like it is -no one else comes close to ELVIS .

  • @controlpopulation like I said huge fan of Elvis Presley but what I think is funny is how far people go with these comparisons, I never understood why some would come 2 a Elvis video just 2 hype up Mj it would be wrong if I went on a MJ video 2 hype up Elvis, yea we want 2 back up our favorite artist, list their accomplishments & thats okay ,but do we feel secure with our favorite artist 2 say ,people can say & compare Elvis anyway they want ,2 me he will always be Elvis if there was a Mj or not

  • @kathycuddles Anyone who says ELVIS "stole BLACK music" is simply RACIST and/or JEALOUS of his undeniable TALENT and SUCCESS . BLACK Songwriter HALL of FAME member OTIS BLACKWELL said, " I got RICH off of ELVIS." The first song " Don't Be Cruel" ,he did NOT even own any longer -he sold it to a Music Publishing Co. for $25 . He was thrilled that ELVIS recorded it and it became a HIT. He also said BLACKS did NOT like and record his songs but other WHITES did , such as JERRY LEE LEWIS !

  • @bootseybuddy or just simply ignorant don't want to know any facts want to jump to assumptions,if people really got know Elvis ,yeah there was his down times but like I said Elvis had such an image on him some forgot he was actually human, they would get to know the true Elvis and know why he is remembered still after over 30 years ,some just need to do there research ,I am not a Mj hater he had his issues yeah but it does not take away from the music he gave to the world, thanks for your research

  • Ok I am a huge Elvis fan ,for his music and for who he potrayed himself to be even though he had problems as we all do he had a realness about him, some criticize him for not writing his own music, really so what he sang the heck out of them ,when he sang the songs the songs became him, some say he's a racist with not to much evidence to back it up with. heard a rumor and just went with it the all famous shining the shoes statement . there is so much said about Elvis and alot of judgements too

  • The Greatest of all time! The King sings to the King of Kings!

  • I gave my life to god, listening to elvis gosple music so god still used elvis.

  • A minister I once knew asked "How things might have ended differently for Elvis, if he had become a gospel star, instead of what the world fashioned him into, and how many souls he would have saved for the Lord, including his own life?

  • Jimmy Burton seems highly amused at old 'Squirly' singing the holy blues. He's not the only on! . Elvis originally wanted to sing in a gospel quartet and was to a degree conflicted the rest of his life by the sacred/profane split in his psyche - as was Jerry Lee and Little Richard. These simple southern boys were all tainted by fundamentalist beliefs which may or may not have given their music its particular intensity. I agree with Steven Fry on religion, - "Shit it!"
