  • thats some good stuff

  • It all has more to do with Tim Austin's rhythm playing than any other factor. The sound remained very similar up until he left, regardless of other members. His rhythm is what makes the LRB sound that we enjoy. All guitar players since him have been great, but all have tried to mimic this aspect, only suggesting what Tim did with the sound.

  • I love this song!! Been so long since i've been to a bluegrass festival.. don't have them in Alabama that i know of... wondefrful song!!

  • I'm sorry, but I don't think this line-up compares to any they've had since. Great song, though.

  • Psh..Are you even KIDDING??? They don't make em' Like this anymore. Dale Perry can Sing bass, baratone, play bass..or ANY other instrument for that matter..Dan tyminski....is just outstanding...This blows away what they have now..Not even a comparison. The harmony was tighter here and this was 20 years ago!

  • good cover!

  • That was awsome, you dont get many bands with that sound anymore. I miss HOt Rise. Bluegrass Albumn band, Check out my video......Cold sheets of rain bluegrass jam.

    Alan from China grove.

  • this was one of the most incredible lineups to me. tim austin driving it and buck keepin time with dan singing his highwater pants off while dale laid some sweet banjer licks over it!! Man this would inspire anyone.

  • I agree...this line-up is AMAZING....Dale is as good or better banjo player than Sammy...Been doin it longer. I've heard both of em' in person and dale can tear it up..Not just on a banjo either...about anything else you hand him. So underestimated.....I wish he had more recognition.

  • Are you sure that's Dale Perry on banjo, I didn't know ???

  • yes thats dale perry, he was on that album with LRB. Hes a incredible banjo player. Doyle Lawson and David Parmely just have kept the reigns on him and hes never really been able to show what he could do since these days. If you ever get a chance to jam with him you will be blown away.

  • It's Perry alright but he wasn't on the album this song came off. I think he was the banjo player on Talkin to myself. But Shelor was on the Tradition album.

  • no you dum dum!! He wasnt banjo player on talkin to myself, that was Sammy. Tradition album was after this show, but the record that was out at this present time of this show, Dale Perry was playing on it, the album included " Id worship you"

  • Yeah moron, I got Lookin for yourself mixed up with Talkin to myself album. Dale perry played on the Lookin for myself album. This tune was on the Tradition album. So I was right about that. Dum Dum.

  • @nonmax15 Actually, This song was on Old Country Town, the album they made after Carrying the Tradition.

  • This was 17 years ago... I would like to contact you to see if you have this whole show and maybe the evening show. didn't realize this stuff was still around. I was the bass player in this video and would like to get a copy please.
