@Xchrstian4Agnostism Are you JW by any chance? I've always considered the 'god' name to be a title given to whatever it is that we choose to worship. Christians and Jews call YHWH, 'God' as an article of faith in who the I AM is.

The Muslims contend that 'Allah' is in fact a proper name for their god despite some controvesy. The Judeo/Christian God said of himself 'I Am that I AM' (Exodus 3:14) when asked, thus in Hebrew he is known as YHWH. Jesus is quoted as saying of himself 'Before Abraham was born, I AM' (John 8:58) and the Jews understood this as worst blasphemy.
