  • How the hell do you cast that long?

  • pretty cool, but could never be as cool as a DOPE rap

  • now how much would the equipment like that cost.

  • @victopshot17

Anywhere between $200 to well over $1000.

  • Not a game fish.

  • @BlacktipH

We are fishing north padre island Tx.

  • @eTXboy85

I believe you can cast there, but I am not 100% sure. I have never fished that location before. I would contact some people on Extreme Coast. There are a lot of locals from Padre Island who fish often.

  • @blacktip

Great video man! My buddies and I are planning a trip to the coast this spring...we have no way of kayaking bait out though...will the trip still be productive casting from shore or is kayaking the only option? Thanks

  • @eTXboy85

Where are you planning to fish?

  • Cool video dude

  • i also shark fish from the surf. Question: What's your technique for deploying heavy baits? How far out?

  • @abanyai123

We use a kayak and we take the baits out about 200yds.

  • hey guys come and sheck out my channel be sure to subscribe

  • He reels it up and its a tiny sunfish.

  • mate downsize your gear.......or do you get big white pointers there off the beach? the real should be the size of a TLD 50 at most or a TLD 25 at least. and id be using 15kg line......24kg at most........still i cant deny your results. just offering tps to make it more interesting

  • @elvinsmatthew

When we are using gear this size, we are usually targeting larger sharks like hammers, tigers, and bulls. A big hammer will strip an 80w to the knot.

  • @BlacktipH im curious do you get marlin and tuna off the shore there like we do here?

  • @elvinsmatthew

Nope, do you catch them in Australia?

  • @BlacktipH yes

  • You better have released it or prepare to get a million thumbs down

  • @Ethandewitt

    The shark was released.

  • nice shark...you release it?

  • @marcoreptile86

    The shark was released.

  • I´m sorry.Is a very nice shark and movie.My question:

Have you ever fished the same shark in a day?

  • @GrandFishingST

Maybe a nurse shark, but I don't believe so.

  • Nice shark. In the event of his release. Have you ever tried to find out more than once the same issue?

     Greetings.

  • @GrandFishingST

I am sorry, I don't understand you question.

  • shark use tail whip. it is not effective. BlacktipH managed to catch the pokemon~

  • nvm i watched the whole video lol Stuart rocks?

  • that looks like fort pierce

  • i actch sturgeon in the bay which is bigger than that with a smaller pole. nice catch where are you again

  • @infinityward0

Where do you catch Sturgeon? This was in SE Florida.

  • @BlacktipH

How do you get those monster baits out to the strike zone, and how far out do you set them? Thanks

  • @TheNecrobear

We use a kayak and we take them out about 200yds.

  • @BlacktipH ahhhh i always wondered how the bait got out there lol thanx!

  • he was lifting the rod to high thats ya snap a rod thumbs up if you agree

  • are you sure thats a blacktip? it almost looks like a spinner shark.

  • @tomfishalot

That's a blacktip. A spinner has a smaller dorsal fin.

  • Doesnt the shark die after being gut hooked?

  • @quaddude2501

Not all the time and this one wasn't gut hooked.

  • is 300 yards of 50lb power pro enough for a shark.. my reel holds 250 yards or 40lb but im going to put more line on it then it says. will that fuck my reel up?

  • @daniel123s1ckstuffz

If you put more line, the line will probably come off the spool or you will get bad wind knots. What size shark are you targeting?

  • @BlacktipH 50 lb

  • @daniel123s1ckstuffz

I would get a bigger reel. Something that can hold at least 400yds.

  • @BlacktipH what about for sharks 30lbs?

  • @daniel123s1ckstuffz

That's plenty. You always want to be ready for that bigger fish.

  • shark fishing is not big game fishing...

  • @bamafan6273

    Sharks eat marlin!

  • what fishing line did u use?

  • @zacdanielmotocross

I believe it was 80 or 100lb mono.

  • goooooood job man keeeeeep going

  • 4:25 "do you have a fish on?"

"no i think its just a twig :/"

  • is shark fishing good in march ?cause im visiting florida on the march break and going to hit up boca grande and try to catch some shark or mackeral

  • @daniel123s1ckstuffz

Shark fishing is good in March, more on the east coast than the west coast.

  • do yall run a kayaker or cast because we run kayakers on the pier

  • @SuperBackwoodsrednec

    We do both.

  • @BlacktipH wat would u say i could catch with my penn senator 6/0

  • @SuperBackwoodsrednec

You could probably catch an 8ft shark.

  • @BlacktipH wow i have a penn senator 6/0 with 60 pound non braid i just got it last week i never got to use it for sharks yet you think it will be good to use from shore cuz it only holds 400 yards

  • What kind of shark was that?

  • @halo3luvr2

    blacktip

  • So who wants to un hook it

  • did that hurt your nuts?

  • @pjm17

    Nope.

  • you have fucking terrible technique !

  • i am an enthusiast fisherman but:

    fishing for sharks sucks!!!

  • I so dont miss putting hooks into innocent creatures face any more. I go scuba/ mountain bike riding instead to get out in nature.

You aint a nature lover when your killing shit brah!

  • @durianriders

I am not a nature lover and I am not a killer, I just like fishing. The pursue to catch a large fish and/or animal has always been an interest in man for 1000's of years. Not all of us get a thrill by just observing, some of us want to get closer and interact with things.

  • @BlacktipH well said, im totally against hunting ..but fishing is my one true love and addiction in life

  • Comment removed

  • Nice video. What bait were you using? Barracuda?

Oh, and make sure you don't call a shark fat when your in the water with it.

  • @SedgeProductions

I believe we were using bonito for bait.

  • your best got any tarpon tips im 12 and jst wondering

  • @realfisherman12

Will you be fishing for them from shore or on a boat?

  • wat bait did you use?

  • @southernoutdoorsmen

    I believe bonito.

  • @BlacktipH ok thanks!

  • Do you use a pyrimid sinker or what?

  • @Paradiseblader

    Yes, I do.

  • @BlacktipH how do u get ur bait out heir and wat do u use

  • @FlipzyxD

We use a kayak to take the baits out.

  • how do u get ur bait out heir and wat do u use

  • how do you get the hook of a shark?

  • @RobertoVF2010

By using either pliers or an Arc DeHooker

  • In the POT Joe, all goes for starving children,

  • do you put these fish back?

    i hope you do

  • @orangedac

    Yes, the fish was released.

  • @BlacktipH

    o thank god for that.

its the least you can do for the poor fish.

  • @BlacktipH its good to seem someone using a belt rather than all those other idiots that don't. also, may i ask where this is and how far out your bait is?

  • @IIxxxACExxxII

Southeast Florida and we paddled the bait out about 200yds.

  • @BlacktipH thats sweet dude is that 100 pound test i couldn't tell.

  • @IIxxxACExxxII

    I believe it was 80lb.

  • @BlacktipH please answer this. where was this video taken?

  • @OceanSkate401

    SE Florida

  • what kind or rod and real is that?

  • @willpeters17

I believe that is an old Daiwa Sealine.

  • will do, thanks for the kind advice

    tight lines ;)

  • how did u get the line out there?

  • @tim121

    kayak

  • @tim121

    kayak

  • I need a reel asap and have a budget of 300 bucks.

Lost a 300lbs tuna yesterday when it hit my weak okuma 30 multiplier and stripped 300 yards in 15 seconds :(

    Thx

  • @vjanda1

I would recommend trying to find an old Penn 80tw or if you have to, get a 14/0 senator.

  • Hi,

I have 2 shimano tiagra 80's on my boat for blue fin tuna. Need me a 3rd reel but can't afford a tiagra at present :( Do you think the senator is up to the job? Is it a 6/0 or 8/0? Average tuna is 100-200lbs but they grow to 500lbs where I fish.

    Nice vid btw.

  • @vjanda1

I personally don't like using the senators. To me they are like an old fashioned push lawnmower. They will work, but you're going to hate them compared to the Tiagra. How much money can you send on a reel?

  • Hi,

  • what reels are those and what line test and type were being used?

  • @SkidinDingo

I believe it is an Old Daiwa, I am not exactly sure.

  • Thanks for the answer. And thanks for some very interesting posts! As we say in France: Bonne Pêche!!

  • How far out do you go on average? We don't have sharks here but we do have drumfish and some rate up to 40 or 45 kilograms. So they are a worthwhile catch. We also have very big rays here and they are fine eating. Problem here is you have to get your bait out over 100 meters to expect getting to those monsters. My Kayak is a Malibu Sit on top two-seatrer weighing in at some 64 pounds. A bit of an ordeal...

  • @prevalain

We take it about 150yds on average.

  • I'm sorry if I seem to ask a dumb question... It seems you're using PENN Senator reels... which are trolling reels. How did you get your bait out? You can't really cast those reels (at least I can't seem to). So what did you do? Did you row a boat out?? Thanks for the answer.

  • @prevalain

We used a kayak to take the bait out.

  • Awww poor shark!

  • I caught a 250kg marlin 100kg line

  • can you cast those type of reels far and if so is it hard?

  • @koolkidzz42

You probably can, but your not going to get it very far. We use a kayak to take the bait out.

  • nice

  • can a blacktip break 40 lb mono line?

  • @jimmycriketnew

If he jumps, his tail might break it. If you have a long leader, he won't break it.

  • do you eat em wt a stupid question twat there sharks i love em

  • @BlueNova1995

    The shark was released.

  • @BlacktipH good :) i love wen you release wt a stupid question is tht did u eat it fuck off there amazing creatures and should never be eaten

  • eat them fuk u there sharks i love sharks

  • How do u get the hook out I'm sure with long pliers but just wondering

  • @THEcoolKID4100

We either use pliers or an Arc DeHooker

  • What blank is that rod on ?

    How long is it ?

    Looks great to use .

  • @striebs

I believe that was a gator glass blank, I don't know. We like to use Blackfin blanks.

  • I like ur videos . And the fact that u put them back is even more.....I dnt know....good I guess :P

  • do you eat them?

  • @LessThan3able

    Nope, we release them.

  • pleas replay how do the shark come sOOO close.

  • @TheLordofwar27

Certain shark species are called coastal sharks, meaning they live and hunt near the shore.

  • pleas replay how do the shak come sOOO close.

  • I use a penn 113 h 80# braided line. is this a good set up or should i get a bigger reel

  • @jake312009

What size sharks are you fishing for? That will work well for sharks under 7ft.

  • @BlacktipH Well thanks for replying back. But i caught a few 5 foot a 6 foot sharks with this setup. But then I hooked up with two more that broke my line after long runs. And also do you know if there is any land based shark fishing tournaments coming up soon.

  • @jake312009

What state do you live in?

  • @BlacktipH I live in central Alabama but take many trips to Gulf Shores and Florida for fishing trips

  • is that a penn reel? and how far can you cast with that reel, I have a penn senator and i never tried pendulum casting. Would it work?

  • @SWAT487

You can't cast with that reel, we kayaked the bait out.

  • those rods look costume made how wraped them there very nice

  • @MrSaltwaterfreak

    Yes, they are custom.

  • what fish is that a flower

  • Theres a 9/0!!! I want a shirt!!! Long sleve. How much? Damn that rod bends! What kind of rod is it? I've got a 8" ugle srtck for xmas to relace that solid fiberglass 30 year old rod I was useing last summer. Thats a big old blacktip! The hammerheads are running here. That was around 150lbs I'ld say.

  • @dnahoghunter Those are Black Bart shirts, they can be purchased at their website, blackbartlures. I don't know what kind of rod it is, I think it is custom.

  • Great fishing - fair play mate!

  • what is that a 12\0

  • @JUGUN my bad thats a daiwa sealine 900

  • Great job Do the hotels ever bitch and say its bad for their business? Like cause of people not wanting to go in the water after seeing the sharks

  • @2024JayZ Yes they do complain, but who doesn't complain when they think they own the beach. They are very ignorant of the facts. The truth is the condo corporations & hotels only own a small portion of the beach, from the hightide mark to the ocean is state property, and inbetween those two is the city/town's property.

  • @BlacktipH We have a few streams that run through our property and its kind of the same If the water does not come out of the ground on our land we cant own it so people think they can float down it. But we just put a fence about 2inches above it. lol

  • nice fish
