  • Great vid Scott! 3:32 and 5:10... NEWCO!!!!! I still a recycle toter from them :D

  • It would be nice if ESD would do some 8:15 to their Octo tailgates

  • luv it!

  • you`re right this is better than there goes a trash truck. the cab at 3:50 hotwheels used on their fls&it cuold be 1 of the first condors or petes. very nice, swift trucks, especially my favorite, the 7000 at 5:08 - 5:22 today, the guy at 4:50 would have gotten in trouble or fired for doing that. wasn`t this in `94-`97?

  • @TrashKid63 3:50 is an RTI cab, which stands for Refuse Truck Industries. They're still around today, but little-known. But this was many years prior to the first Condor chassis lol..

And yes it could've been released during the 90s, the trucks are about that vintage and older.

  • Lol, just looked at this video because of 3amrepmike3's video post, gotta love that music though lol

  • @reyflow8 haha whaddya mean that's the best part?!! Goes with the crazy-awesomeness of the trucks in the 80s

  • HA. that answered my questions about Newco. Dang that 7000 is cool! Holy ..... The things I would do to be able to see that Peterbilt in action... They still have the 310s but not likely this one... haha maybe I'll go for next best and try to see one of their 310s in action

  • @3amrepmike3 Yeah there are more than a handful of trucks in this whole three vids that I would've given up everything I've filmed just to watch........wait who's "they"? Newco went out of business who would be running the 310s you're talking about right now?

  • @Trashman242 the company with the white, tellow and blue FLs. I think its like ABC disposal or something. I see there 310s on the freeway all the time. I meant to put the time in the video I saw it but forgot apparently. The Pete at 9:00 but that company has a series of nice trucks left. Maybe that old beast is sitting in the yard?

  • @3amrepmike3 Ok so like 8:11 you'd say they still run that truck then? Yeah I've been trying to find what company that was for ages..

9:00 basically = the beast of this whole footage. If it's not at ABC's yard then I hope they use it for trash in heaven or something so I get to see it.....lol

  • @Trashman242 yup the truck at 8:11 is still roaming the streets. and LOL bout truck heaven

  • @Trashman242 NEWCO (National Enviornental Waste Company) Used to service my area (S/E Riverside) Back in the 90s. They and Burrtec started sharing the route in 1997 and in 2001 Burrtec completely took over and bought nearly all their trucks. I was about 9 or 10 then but I have footage of their old trucks. Peterbilt Heil 7000s (all types/sizes). Their trucks wore the Red Whte and Blue paint scheme, and sometimes White and Green. They did manua collection with Petes and amrep bodies

  • @Trashman242 manual collection for the greens, and had a special truck for recycle, and then the automated for solid waste.

  • @Monoxcyde Yeah that sounds pretty much like what I saw in this video. Thanks for the input, it's good to hear from someone who was serviced by them and has firsthand memories. Do you still have the footage and can you post it?

  • 6:38 lol

  • love the heil 7000 at 5:11

  • 10 people sleep in on garbage day

  • My boys used to love this. I always thought that the garbage man was the creepiest guy ever.

  • This was my favorite movie when I was like 4. Haven't seen it in years and still remember the theme song.

  • The WM stagg I think runs in Citrus or La Verne. There is also a possibility of it running in Diamond Bar, but I think the Wittke Burro might be in Diamond Bar

  • AWESOME TRUCKS DUDE! Also, what model was that first MSL? It reminds me of the Stagg that WM has.

  • @MRGTMAN123 Ok, the first MSL you saw was an Amrep. Where does WM still run a Stagg MSL?

  • i used to love this video when i was a kid

  • wow this brings back memories, i remember renting this from my library when i was in kindergarten.

  • Great video!

  • I love when the kid push his dad off from the bed on 0:30.

  • do you know when this was made? i was born in 91 and remember watching this alllll the time.

  • @hmoffly Judging by the trucks it was sometime late '80s

  • I remember when I was a child I always get woken up by the garbage truck's engine revving from an ASL garbage truck when the mechanical claw was operating to empty the garbage can. now ASL garbage trucks do not rev the engine when packing and the claw in use.

  • @aurora990 Yepp...good old days. Where was that?

  • @Trashman242 in Redding, California and Santa Maria, California.

  • Euuu that guy got garbage water all over his face! Ick!

  • lol a bit funny at the start

  • Are "CCC" garbage trucks supposed to be rare?

  • Not particularly, why?

  • Haha I cant believe this made up here on youtube. Especially for a video that was never release in any kind of digital form. It was sure an interesting experience to have helped create it.

  • are you the kid in the movie?

  • haha what part did you have?

  • And by nerly impossible you mean you haven't looked on ebay :) When I was a kid I thought about buying one just to trick it out!

  • i uased to wach tons of these 90's vids on garbage trucks and i still have em

  • GOOAARRBAAGE DAAY !

  • i used to see newco fl trucks in my area

u know if they r still in service?

  • Nope, went out of business unfortunately

  • oh thats too bad..

  • It's a White/gmc truck

  • Yep...quite a few of them in these vids.

  • hey scott that heil 7000 at 5:17, that company, newco waste systems used to operate in the areas where my amrep octo asl athens services truck was from and in the area of my WM vids a while back ago! there are still some carts that say newco waste systems on it, and another thing is that there is a lot of those turn key carts which that company used, then sold its routes to WM and athens along with their carts. i just relized this lol though id let you know

  • Yes that was one of the very first F 7000's. Thanks for the info!! Do you think you can get some video of one of those Newco carts next time you go out that way? I'd appreciate it :D

  • what is the body for the asl at 5:08

  • Heil Formula 7000

  • holy shit this brings me back so far. My parents bought me this movie when i was like 4 years old. I still remember the song.

  • WOW! I rented this video from the library when I was around 5, and I never was able to find it again...until now! Trashman242, your page is gold!

I did a little research, and this video was probably filmed in LA judging by all the trucks owned by Newco.

  • Yeah definitely. Also the landfill gives it away...

  • Looks like a RTI with a Pak-mor body.

  • Could be RTI but the RTI cab I know of (unless there are other designs) is lower to the ground. You're at least right about the body... Does RTI have a website?

  • you from Williams Lake? I live in Abbotsford....practically neighbours!

  • I felt like the little boy in the video, LOL, thnx for posting this, classic trucks, loved the Kenworth FL towards the end, or was that a Pete 310? Reminded me a lot of the trucks in Men at Work

  • Thanks! Yeah, that was a Peterbilt at the end, very likely pre-310 (not sure of the exact model though). Had to be my favorite truck in all three videos!!! Such a shame trucks like that aren't around anymore!!

  • A bunch of the trucks look like White Expeditors to me.

  • Yeah, only low entry cabs...

  • these are some butiful TRucks

  • at 5:22 a amrep asl

  • Nope that's actually a Heil DuraPack Formula 7000

  • Now we're talkin!

5-stars for the idea and the effort of posting it from digital...

  • dude no garbage man is that dedicated and happy where i live. =[

  • Where do you live?

  • That cart tipper on the MSL is pretty cool. Anyone know if they still make them?

  • I doubt it, but type "stagg MSL" into youtube search and watch shadofax96's video, I think that MSL has this kind of tipper on it.

  • kickass, i remember seeing this when i was in elementry school

  • very nice!

  • i used to whatch this from my library but they got rid of it.. :[

thanx for postin it ive looked eveywhere and still could never find it

  • Glad you like it!

  • i have this video, nice one scott

  • You do? Where'd you get it?

  • i got it as a gift like about 4-5 years ago

  • Great video!!!

  • Thanks~

  • the heil forumila 7000 and phtyons are few of the featured trucks still manufactured 2day!

  • The Form. 7000, yes, but the Python is not shown in this video. Rapid Rail, however, can be found today and is seen in this series.

  • rapid rail, not python, thats what i ment, duh me

  • lol ok, understood :)

  • i rent this dvd ooften from the libary

    ind rellly lick it!

the chassis of the blu rl might ba an old condor, 320, or terrapro le

  • LOL Definitely not any of those, sorry to say...It was made before all of those.

  • what company made the first asl ever i wonder?

  • im not possitive but i think it was godzilla or a related truck...

  • With what he said about what's done before a shift, sounds nothing like to what I know. I find most the time it's turn the truck on and leave, work, tip-off, return to the depot, fuel up and go home. Liked the tractor pulling the bin at 8:50... also was that FL a Bowles or Maxon by any chance? I'm just taking a guess but is that chassis on the blue PakMor an RTI like in Luis' vids? Thanks for the post.

  • what time is it in australia?

  • About 8:15pm AEST

  • wow it is 4:00 in the morning i cant sleep for crap!!

  • I'd agree, get the day started and do as much as you can when it's not real hot out or something! Don't know about the FL after the tractor/dumpster part, except that it probably is Maxon, Bowels, ABC, or some other Micro builder. That truck was my fav because of the late '70s Pete chassis!!

As for the PakMor, didn't think of RTI, but it could be. Seems like the RTIs that Calmet owns are more low-entry than this RL, but RTI might have made several models....

  • ...This video doesn't show enough of the cab for me to be able to give it any kind of guess, plus the front is so simple, no real features, and no evident symbol (defining the chassis MFG). For some reason I think I've seen this chassis before though...

  • The front of the chassis doesn't ring any bells, but the side is surely RTI.

  • Yeah, We fuel our rigs up when the day is done, I check all of the fluids, check the lights, air up the tanks, kick the tires, Then unload the recycling & hit the road! grin

Thanks for sharing this one with us Trashman! I've never seen this one before.

  • Me neither, and it's my pleasure ;)

  • what msl in front of the truck bieng worked on at 7:52?

  • Shupak

  • sweet thanks so much

  • @rainbowdisposalman I take that back now that I'm a bit more "informed"

That would be the model Amrep made before the other ones in this vid and the ones we know today. There's one I know of by me that's still in operation that I hope to film soon, open hopper like that and everything. Thing's a beauty

  • what kind of msl at 3:01

  • Amrep

  • i thought so

  • garbage men keep the neighborhood clean and safe? what are they cops and garbage men?

  • LOL...
