Come on now, Give this game a break. It's almost 20 years old. Of course it's not going to look as good as games made in the past few years. I'm sure this person has tried or maybe even owns Silent Hunter III or IV. The point of this channel is to show off old PC games.
I had the win 95 version (CAOTD) of this game back in the day, good sub-sim but also flawed. I have noticed in all versions when you change views the game engine runs suddenly very fast for a second, as if the game has to catch up. And what is with the wave bobbing in the periscope view? The boat is steady under water.. Anyway, nice video!
God I miss being able to play this game. I still have it but it no longer works on Windows XP.
I used to torpedo ships and sit and watch them sink lol.

There is no game able to replace AOD!!!! I played this game as a child, and no actual game can support the same gameplay and atmosphere!
