  • love it!

  • i have a hard now...dude epic sound. with that 383 and 292 cam did you run into clearance issues?

  • @padrinoel with the Scat rods i dont have clearance issues, the car is a daily driver, heavy traffic warrior, run powerful in the highway.

  • peace+love

  • how much horse power are you putting down to the wheels?

  • i dont have any dyno but i guess 400 hp

  • ooooonaaaaaaaaaaa

  • sounds nice.. any 1/4 time.. are u running a auto tranny..

  • thanks, lm running old stock automatic 4L60E and dont have any drag racing time

  • sounds cool

  • Too raspy for mee but sounds good at idle

  • now sounds better with 36 lb/hr injectors

  • is this a better cam then a cc306 ? please reply soon

  • if you are going to use the car often in the street /strip then 292 XFI is OK, and change the injectors to 36 lb/hr. But if you are going to use the car for drag racing call to people of comp cam, cam motion or iskenderian and ask for custom mechanical roller cam, if your engine is LT1, but if youe engine is LS go directly to MTI people

  • Unfortunately MTI went out of business a little while back. Too many people owed them money was the story I heard.... I'm not an LS guy, but that was really sad to hear!

  • ditch that pcmforless chip and get a true dyno tune! I picked up a whole half second in the 1/4 after ditching alvin's tune.

  • are you runing pump gas

  • the video was with 24 lb/hr stock injectors and normal gas

  • is it wrong to get wood from this?

  • Oh no. Its perfectly natural.........at least i hope it is cuz i totally did!!!!!!!!

  • I have another video that you should see. send me a PM ill link it. man you will JIZZ yo self

  • sounds good. were runnin the same cam. you must have an auto to have low vacume brakes. i love my setup its a little bigger than yours but still very streetable ive had no problems, but i did go to a big head, after i put about 2000 miles on the new motor, it wasnt breathing good enough. ur max power shouild be around 6000 tourqe is about right tho.. haha izzi1482 didnt do somthin right if he has a stroked LS motor and it only has 400 to the ground, thats all i can say!

  • about two months ago i made vacuum measuring in the vacuum port of the intake manifold, and the reading was 4"Hg at idle (1000 rpm) and rise to 10 - 14 "Hg at 2000 rpm, i dont had enough vacuum for the brakes at low speed and i had to do small holes in the throtle blades, this way the brakes improves

  • I am looking at this cam for my 383 HSR 89 Firebird....where did you make your max hp and max tq at?

  • i guess max.hp around 5500 rpm and max tq around 4000 rpm, really i dont have any dyno test, i only drive in the street, and i enjoy, take care with the vacum for the brakes,

  • i have an ls1 with a 383 and a baby cam, and i made 403 rwh and 415 trq, im about to put the 292 cam, hope to see good numbers

  • few years ago i had 292 in carburated engine (406 SBC), now i have 292 in fuel injection engine (LT1), but this cam is for street/strip, i recommend you something more powerful like custom solid roller, MTI have killer solid roller for LS1 engines, but i prefer ISKENDERIAN solid roller and you are going to be hated by the neighbors

  • sounds nice...what kind of power did it make

  • not more than 400 HP, but this video was with 24 lb/hr stock injectors, now i have new 36 lb/hr injectors and tuned again the PCM, i have more HP and the sound is powerful

  • what exhaust are you running??

  • i have true duals outlets, no y pipe, in the driveshaft tunnel the two outlet pipes fit with no problem and the two Hushpower muffler are where one time was the original muffler, with the 1- 3/4" Hooker super competition long tube headers i gain 20 Hp, i made this modification 3 years ago with stock LT1

  • Awesome sound dude.

I'm also looking at doing a LT4 383 build up. Do you find your 292 XFI cam to be streetable?

  • 100 % streetable, i loose only a bit of vacuum for the power brakes, but remain working well in the street, now i have installed new 36lb/hr Accel injectors and tuned again by PCMforless, i drive in the street and is 100% streetable but now with a more deep sound
