  • Oh shit. I have that noise. I thought it was my wheel bearing and thought of nbd. When ball joints give out its catastrophic.

  • my 95 accord was making the same noise but i just had to tightin my nuts on my tire i thought it was the ball joints as well

  • Woot, thanks. My accord just started doing this yesterday and this just saved me a trip to the mechanic!

  • How do you let a car get that bad?

  • i heard that noise b4 on my 1997 reaplaced whole axel anndddd solved :D actually think my axel was shot

  • i have a 90 honda accord and it never made that noise....i went around a corner and it broke off....tire went into fender ,car went down on street, had to have it towed home ,still has bent fender......but luckily didn`t destroy anything else since i had just turned off the street.

(It was an original lower joint)........

  • hi my lower ball joint popped out. i think it was when i jack the car and had the front tire resting on a spare tire to assure car wouldnt fall while i was working under it. is there a way to pop back in? or should i change it? its been making a squeaking noise for a while on and off though

  • whats the worst that can happen if you drive with ball joint loose?

i look at my car today and saw the lower ball joint completly loose. is it expensive to fix and buy part?

  • nothing happen it just make noise!

  • If you let it go long enough it can pop out causing you to loose all control of the car. Your wheel will no longer be fastened to the car by anything except for the strut which I have seen get ripped right off the car in a few cases. As soon as you notice a worn ball joint just R&R it. Cheap to buy and easy to replace. About $60 per joint and and hour per side to replace. Hardest part is drilling the rivets out of the factory ball joint to remove it from the control arm.

  • yea your wheel will pretty much come off. its expensive

  • Aren't ball joints supposed to creak when they go flat??

  • Not safe at all!!!

  • HA HA HA HA HA mang! thanks for the tip! oneof my buddies has so much goin on in his Accord its a 95 all the front wheel suspensions and joints or what ever it is rotors brakes calpers wheel bearings etc all making noise like crazy! but he drives like a maniac! Which he thinksim afraid of his driving but no ITS HIS CAR FALLING APART IS WHAT IM A AFRAID OF!

  • haha crazy yeah i didnt know what the hell the noise was then i took things and looked them over and it was the balljoint - Scary!
