Batman for the NES was the standard for Bat games for a decade or so, Vengence perfectly captured the mood of the then current animated series through its insane art direction, and Batman Begins was the template FOR the Arkham Games. Adventures of Batman & Robin on the Genesis/Megadrive is by-far the best Batman game, period... Batman Returns on the Sega CD and the original Batman on the NES are both close-seconds and thirds, depending.. With Batman Returns on the SNES being a very-close fourth..

I used to own batman '89 but the Atari ST version. So i was chuffed to see it at your number 1 too. Being 9 years old then and new batman movie out and being totaly stoked about it all. fond memories. I was suprised to see the NES version looks different to what i remember of it? PS i also reckon the SNES version of Batman Returns was far better then the MegaDrive/Genesis version. SNES games where always brighter and more colourful.
