@dellovad You are partially correct there Dellovad. There is a symbiotic relationships between clown fishes and Anemones. The Anemones provides the clown fish with protection whist the clown fish provides the anemones with food. Hosting is a term i think loosely used to described this relationship. In this respect they should in fact be host to each other.
@monstermug no, sorry, not being an ass but I am completely correct, I get the whole symbiotic relation thing, it just the verbiage, the anemone is the host and the clown is the hostee, there r no 2 ways about it. When a city hosts an event they r the host. Ever hear that Superbowl will host Miami? Or when I visit someones home am I hosting their house? Again, just a pet peeve, as a whole most reefers/aquarists are bright, educated people, amazes me that almost universally most get it wrong.
That is a gorgeous bubble tip and I love how much black coloring that clarki has. Of all the clownfish I've worked with I've found that Amphirion Clarki are the most receptive to pairing with a large variety of anemones.
Clarki clownfish's are probably one of the best for caring for the anemone. Mine will feed the anemone big bits of food even if its starving. It is also very protective of the nem and would even chase the cleaner shrimp away from it. I think its great. A must have for any nems.
@dellovad no, monstermug is correct on this!
