The PS3 isn't even really a game console. I know more people who bought that thing to have a cheap Blu Ray player than those who actually intend to play games on it. As a multi media devise, apparently it's working out, but as a game system it is far and away the worst thing since the Virtual Boy, with only about a dozen games on the market that make putting up with the nonsense Sony makes us deal with worth it. I would burn a hundred PS3's to get my hands on a good Wii.

The Wii has much more to offer for a wide range of age groups, because video games can only last as long as the focus is mainly on the youth. Sure the Wii has shovelware, but Haze, Too Human, and Army of Two is the PS3's shovel ware.
