ive been trying to figure out a good rear delt ex since i dont have a rear delt machine/ those fancy pec decks which u can sit reverse. Would these suffice?
@aaronalwines absolutely that would be fine. Im sure you have dumbbells laying around, so also incorporate into your routine bent over lateral raises.
You know what? You people make me laugh! I bet 85% of you people are just fat fuckers sat behind your computer screens munching away with your cock in your hand, and! have never even seen the inside of the gym! So shut up bitching! Pissing me off.
The pin was hitting the frame every rep before I got to the top, we just fixed the tension cable so I dropped it at the end because it was like the 5th time we changed it out and it was still doing the same thing so excusee for being to rough with a broken machine
Since I've never done facepulls before and will be using your video as reference for when I'm at the gym, do I need to slam the weights everytime? Should I also just let go of the cables when I'm done?
You really showed that machine who's boss. It's like you're the boss of that machine, and it just got fired.
lot's of powerlifters look like body builders. it helps to be lean when your powerlifting. and powerlifters don't do cable workouts and fixed machines very often. and you did a lot of reps for a powerlifter.
Educated trainers do implement cables and fixed machines for certain aspects of training when it comes to programming for any sport. The reps are for upper back development and recovery, theres a given amount of slow twitch muscle fibers in the rotator cuff that keeps the glenohumeral joint in its anatomical position thats not activated in a heavy upright row or similiar exercise to the face pull
you owned him lol, and yes powerlfiters do alot of high reps and dont lift heavy too often surprisingly, and its al about the small muscles and movements which helps the big movements..his username shows his expertise in bodybuilding ...sk8forlife90
@spartan1893 lol, your so stupid. powerlifters rarely use high reps. they do sometimes, but that's not their base, so they rarely use them. you don't know shit about powerlifting.
dont call me stupid...cause i know more or just as much as you...have you heard the saying "if you wanna be good at deadlifting, dont deadlift"? powerlifters rarely try and max out most they will try and max out is once every 2 weeks, other times they do higher reps like 5 reps and even maybe 10 reps, so what your trying to prove idk cause they do use higher reps and if you think otherwise you are right in ur own mind only
@spartan1893 your wrong. the higher the intensity the more mass and strength your going to pull off. the bulgarians are some of the best lifters in the world and their max effort days consist of over 90% intensity, never lower. usually 1 rep maxs. you ever heard of westside barbell? go on their sight and read some articles some time. he explains max effort at westside, and they swear by 1 and 2 rep max training on max effort days. they get the best results that way, and so do i.
guess what this comes down to is different ways of training. and me and you have learnt two different ways, which both may be as effective as eachother, but i do know of powerlifters that do highreps,so i guess where both kinda right, and by the ay u say the bulgarians do only 2 repsand have muscle mass?cause i havnt heard of great muscle mass from low reps as low as 2, are they natural or take drugs and hormones
@bayoubadass Not only that, you are also reinforcing correct recruitment patterns in the shoulder stabilizers. High reps with a relatively light load is so important for recovery, it's too bad that more powerlifters don't realize that.
A lot of powerlifters like a BIG waist line to maintain tension during the squat, and provide a bigger base. They also don't mind extra layers on the chest to reduce the distance the bar travels and lift heavier weight. Some power lifters look absolutely montrous, and ripped.
you can do it however you want but from that angle you have to stagger your feet and lean back slightly to keep your base if you load it up. From my experience its better to do this exercise from a cable row machine with a rope
Im not to techinical with my names, but you can call it alot of things if you do want to be specific. Im pullin the rope to the top of my head so it could be called head pull, or a posterior rear delt external rotated fly. We can throw some more technical terms in there if thats not enuff
this exercise is somethign a powerlifter would use. Upper back is very important in keeping balance when u are benching heavy, as far as slamming the weights, training with speed is important as it will improve your maximal strength, mot powerlifters train explosively as well as heavy. Being that you have a shit ton of muscles in your back its quite hard to isolate it, plus sometimes the combined effort of many muscles can force a muscle to work harder: cheat curls.
How come everyone thinks a workout must be centered around single muscle groups for bodybuilders. We don't all want to be bodybuilders. Some people want to learn to move the max weight possible. Lifting slow doesn't do that.
This guy's pretty badass
