  • Faraistones80, what laptop do u have and what O/S are you running and what DJ Equipment is pluged in and what software do you run? Guessing: if you have an mp3 dj controller &an AISO sound card interface & if pluged into usb hub you are pulling more power from the hub than it can give, so plug the ASIO directly into a usb prot, the controller into another usb port that should stop any anoyying clicking & pops that accours, my Vdj is: Dell xps laptop running win 64 bit, VDJ 6.01 ion icue for now

  • why m i getting poor sound wen i connect my laptop to mixer?

  • @faraistones80 cuz ya a battie hole laptop dj,bun dem

  • I would of like more updates on this from ellaskins...

  • Whatever happened with this? Just curious

  • Exactly -?

  • Maybe practise and enjoy is the tutorial

  • dj tikka hi can u chow me how to crnect me decks and webcam sowe i can put me vids on youtube..........!

  • what software is that

  • numark cue is the best or otherwise just dont be a pc dj

  • actually ableton live you should know this.

  • ableton live is THE no.1 when it comes to live performance, its used by ALL the big cheeses...

  • hmmm...i do like my cheeses

  • cheese is good. Hard to beat the oul' Cheddar...

  • The Reward is Cheese - Deadmau5

  • Have you ever taken a look at OTS ?

The program I use is OTS PRO which you can beatmix mp3's or load a cd into your laptop

and play tracks off the cd. If your weak on beatmixing this dj program will help you out.

They have a trial version for 30 days.

I mix cds too but the OTS has not crashed on me since 04. They do have cd scratch out as well.

  • LOL!!....oh memories...OTS Turntables was the first bit of DJing i ever done...i downloaded it and spent countless hours playing with my songs, the fun i had!

  • well then Dickhead, i ask you one question:

What are YOU contributing to the rest of the DJ community?

exactly, sweet fuck all. So crawl back into your fucking shoe and die...people like you disgust me....

  • how much is pc dj? ive only heard of virtual dj and its too expensive

  • serato scraths live is the best.

  • go to virtualdj (dot) com

  • dj ass....

  • I think that PCDJ-ing should not be used by itself. It take away from the true essence of DJ-ing. Personally, I feel Vinyl is the greatest way to Dj. I have Pioneer 800's only because it cheaper to maintain my music collection. (Downloading music!) CDJ's are improving and It is the next best thing to use. But if I could afford to purchase records, I definately would be using vinyl.

  • why dont you try serato scratch live, or the numark cdxs? they have the best of both worlds.

  • how much is virtual dj? i cant find it lol

  • there are plenty of cracked versions on the net! just keep looking if not go to virtualdj dot com and buy it!

the best place is torrent websites like piratebay but just google virtual dj torrents should yeild some decent results!

    hope that helps!

  • no there not there is no software for free go and b a fellon crack it djs is not good use virtual dj

  • hey were can i find dj-s i have ben trying to find a pcdj and is it free

  • dear dj tutor i honestly dont recomend that u use dj-s software

if you like dj tutor i can help u out with the use of virtual dj i have been using this program for 5 years and i know alot about it as well i apreciate the videos they are alot of help when i am using hardware instead of software

  • is that pcdj free

  • thanks for the great tutorials.

Guys try Mix Meister it's very simple and useful for me ;)

  • its pretty easy. the one your using isn't known as much.. i would've recommended virtual dj as its one of the best and widely used (minus serato for timecodes)

  • oh and if ur not scratching i dont see real difference anyway esp. if u have a good controller (for those who do alot of eq bending or whatever)

  • Love your videos, Ellaskins! I'm learning so much - thanks man.

I use Virtual DJ and found it easy to get into. Torq looks like a good choice, too. Tried Traktor but it didn't click with me.

I recommend you get a midi controller so you can control the software without having to fiddle with a mouse!

God bless and keep up the good work ;)

  • Torq is amazing, I bought it a couple of months back. Works well with both the control CDs and the Vinyl control records. Although the CD control seems to respond a lot faster. I'm using it on a pair of DNS 3500s and even in scratch mode it is ULTRA responsive. You can create a loop of any size automatically and store it in a quickscratch bank. Then call it up any time with vull vinyl control. It really is amazing. The only problem I had was that the shipped software didnt work with vista.

  • but when you register your purchase onlin you can get the latest version for free and the latest drivers for the connectiv soundcard/interface. The amputate mode can be a lifesaver too, check out the vids on the m-audio website. YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED!!!

    Tay =]

  • I have messed about with several programs as far as pc dj'ing, w/o external controllers. IMO Atomix aka VirtualDJ is my fav. PCDJ does not have the flexibility and add ons VDJ does.

  • agree, but try and use Deckadance

  • i am a mobile cdj and i am about to buy a laptop and an mp3 programm and console such as m audio xponent, hercules mk2 etc? what do you think? Are there any problems whith hercules or m audio (sound clarity, reliability, cue, button delay e.t.c?)What i watch in the net is that m audio x ponent is one of the best and looks like probably the most professional equipment to buy. Any ideas, sorry for my english and thanks for your time.

  • are you going to use just a mouse and keyboard or some kind of controller??

  • I'm currently using Virtual DJ, but PCDJ now do a version that also plays music video's so might try that too. Couldn't do a disco without music video's now days.

  • Wow thanks, how much does that software cost?

  • Hey Johnathan, let me know when you start to give out that software...be wanting to get into PCDJing, but almost just as expensive as a decent mixer. Was wondering when you'd be getting into the PC mixing.

  • insignia just dload some software instead of buy :p

  • sweet

  • Its a good idea, although from my experience PC DJing isnt as fun (mainly because its less hands on)

But its still fun if you cant afford turntables ^_~

  • I looked at that software once and was not impressed. I have never used it, but from what I heard about it, I don't think I would like it. Maybe my opinion will be changed once I see more videos of how it works.

  • Cool, never hear of this software. Try also if you can with Traktor DJ (Native Instruments)

    Cheers!

  • Nice to see I'm not the only one starting something from scratch (excuse the word play) and recording their progression!

  • good idea will look forward to the vids got to say mind i do miss seeing the old 1200's

  • excellent idea, looking forward to your reports :-)

  • you really love your job :) nice to see that,

i just wonder, will you use exterior mixer, or, will you click everything by mouse/keyboard?
