Man, even three years later, I still want a goddamn sequel.
This is the only JRPG I can play over and over again. Symphonia's really good and all, but if you were to say that Symphonia's presentation was better than this, then you're crazy; there's no comparison that this is just better.
Oh! Now those bit in "Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike" make sense! Well, they made sense before but now they carry more weight. If you haven't seen it yet, BTW, DO IT NOW MAN! IT'S AMAZING!
Haha... I like the picture with Repede and Raven playing chess... I think we know who won at that. XD
At 4:18 when you see the book that Estelle wrote, it says Tales of Vesperia on the cover so Estelle wrote a book about their adventure which I thought was cool... =D
Duke looks so COOL! here at the end looking out to the distance while looking up in the sky while he see's the group on Ba'ul while his hair is blowing in the wind.
(Almost) every new installment of the Tales games get better and better. This is the most impressive one thus far. Here's hoping Tales of Graces offers this much fanfare.
Having just finished this game (yeah, Namco finally brought it out in Europe - there is a God!) I gotta say, I agree with your comments entirely, omega.
I think that the story for the most part wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it was held together with such a great script and some fantastic characters, so its hard to fault it.
Plus, the core gameplay and visuals is undoubted the best of the series yet, and there were some epic songs too.
You could always look at the Adephagos as the "final boss". While you don't fight it in a boss battle, it is the final enemy that the characters face...
more than Blastia, what was gone was the Aer that powered the blastia and transformed it to Mana.
Raven's heart blastia is powered by his life escence (or something like that) so as long as he is "alive" that heart will keep working... though maybe I could be wrong and he will live forever if thats the case XD.
nope, thats part of what is needed (and I beated it with all the characters... but nothing happened), you also need the EX Challenge Letter, which you get when you complete the EX Dungeon, which I wasn't able to unlock in time...
Man, I'm really thinking about buying an Xbox 360. There are lots of good RPGs (especially ToV) for that console compared to the Wii, which hasn't a single (good) RPG.
lol i am writing this with a wii also did you know that when you acept the regestration on the nintendo channel nintendo can look and see what you are doing <.< creapy huh its true

ok A. Repede's a genius, beating humans at chess and
B. When I was watching the credits, I mean, some parts made Estelle and Yuri look like a young married couple...

team symphonia made the mistake of having a game that you can make a sequel too. vesperia sort of just ends.
rita did say that they were able to make cores, though inefficient...
qubeh 3 years ago
They should make a second one

I have only played Tales of Symphonia, but I've lost my faith in "tales" games after I played tales of the abyss/legendia
ceberusbotcatcher 3 years ago
they should make a tales of vesperia 2 except the main charecter is duke and its set before this game so you can experience the great war.

This is amazing! this is the first Tales game that I've seen that the final boss actually survives the final boss battle.

Wait, if all the blastia were destroyed to help defeat Adephagos, how come Raven is still alive? o_O
Maybe he really is invincible.
