you know, the original version of the song as written by Robert Hazard (i think that's his name) was "boys just want to have fun" but Cyndi changed the gender when she recorded it! same thing when Aretha Franklin covered "respect" which was orignally written and performed by Otis Redding. funny how these female empowerment anthems were originally written for and by men!
