@jonasty42 actually its not. that was my own recording of it before i realised there was a preset version of it. the last two bars of the preset need the notes changing though.
do you..programme the songs into it or..did you make the songs on the elctribe itsself? like did you play it on a keyboard and the electribe is just a way of storing them and playing when you want or is it all the electribe?
can u plz post a tutorial for the feast and interlude 3 i hopefully getting mine for christmas and ii need a good tut so i can understand it how to use it better
i did this over two years ago, it seems so bad haha. this was when i just got my electirbe. but if you do think this is any good. look at a few other electribe covers i have on my youtube account. return to energiser, insomnia and blood sugar :)
not particularly. if you play about with them loads and try and work on a few covers your skills get better over time and eventually you get used to working on patterns and creating the sounds your lookin for. so at first, quite hard to do complex things, but easy to program but once you get used to it, its all fairly easy.
They are £439 in the UK, not £750 or anything even remotely like that! If you shop around you can buy one for £400 new. You won't get a new one in USA for $250 unless it is stolen.
yes, in this video nothing is used except everything that you can see. just this electribe, no microkorgs or laptops or anything. and yes, it is expensive. around £400 new, but they go for cheaper on ebay.
haha cheers. i may upload another vid, coz this is really old now. and as too all the argumentative comments, i think i'll just delete them.
i only skipped over them, but i read something about not programming other bands synth lines and i thought; why not? whats to say rou didn;t buy his electribe all those years ago and program the prodigy tunes into it? if its the way people like to get to grips with it, then why stop them. i have tons of my own material now, this was just a was to start.
this video was taken over a year ago, after me having had the electribe about a week. on around page 7 of the comments on this video i replied to someone saying 'the pattern i have for anything can happen on this vid is one i did before i found the B.31 preset.'
you are the one that well 'slated' me if thats what you like to say tbh your just a random person on the internet tbh i dont give a fuck about you enuff to care your another one of these pathetic enter shikari obssesed people tbh enter shikari arent that great get on with you own life and stop wasteing your time proggramming in somebody elses synth lines into your machine im not gonna reply again so good bye (Y) FAIL
Hmm... Nice One, My Point Is You're Insulting RouLIke For Promoting My Band, But You're Acussing Him Of Promoting His Own, So I'm Saying You Was Wrong That's All, Nothing To Big Aye?

So Yeah I Hope We Don't Get Silly Because Hey, This Video Really isn't Anything To Do With Midnight Carnival So Move ALong People.
just don't want to waste my time replying to something that im sure i've replied to before, or that you could easily find out through other emx demo's and tutorials on youtube.
well, do you want to begin playing the keyboard/synth kinda stuff, or begin learning how to use sequencers/drum machines. the Em-1 has two synth parts where u you input two synthlines to play back, as far as i know the synth sounds are fairly limited. and also it has around 8 drum parts i believe where you can learn the basics of drum machines.
the microkorg, however, has 37 mini keys, is full off pretty brilliant sounding pre programmed patches, and everything is there to learn how to play keys
what if you were to buy both? Im thinking of getting one, or both. From what I've learnt, do you play the tune on the microkorg, and record it or something into the emx? and then does the emx just play it back? or add stuff?
well you've learnt wrong. i really cannot see, myself, why everyone is under the impression that a microkorg is needed for an electribe. all the sounds you need, really, are capable of being created by the EMX alone. It is full of synth and drum sounds as well as many other sounds, that you can pre-programme and sequence to simply press one button for playback. an electribe can be hooked up to a microkorg via midi, so that you can play one synth part on the emx through the microkorg,
I just bought an esx, spent ALL of my money but it seems like it was worth it, can somebody please tell me how to make/uplad samples and possibly tell me the settings i need for the enter shikari stuff? It'd be a massive help.

you can do it al on the emx. ive had an electribe before this one (EA1-mkii) so i was familiar with the way they worked. plus there is a manual too.
willshikarihine 4 years ago
what setting did you use for the first song?
TheTimbalanders 4 years ago
i don't know exactly what u mean. if ur asking if it is a preset it isn't.
soundwise i used unison - saw 6. i think filter was lpf or bpf with cutoff right up and some res. just mess about to get the sound you want.
willshikarihine 4 years ago

the pattern i have for anything can happen on this vid is one i did before i found the B.31 preset. what i now do is use synth part 4 on B.31, put it on LPF and turn the cutoff right up and a bit of resonance, sounds okay. otherwise mess about without to get whatever sounds. i know B.31 isn't exactly right, as the last two bars of the pattern are the wrong notes, so wht i did ( which worked really well,) was went into step edit and changed the notes one by one to the right ones.

Thinking bout gettin one of these. How would I connect it to a KP2 (Kaoss Pad 2) and an Amp, so i can control the EMX sounds with the KP2 (or maybe a KP3)
TheTimbalanders 4 years ago
its got plent of lines out, midi, mono, stereo.
very good.
i suggest getting the esx-1 though.
its far better.
L14M1337 4 years ago
how, i thought the emx has more synth capabillities and u can sample stuff from amicrokorg onto it.
TheTimbalanders 4 years ago
haveing a microkorg and a emx is just essentially having two synths.
and yes it can sample, but not well.
the emx is a powerfull synth, but an esx-1 paired with a workstation or r3 is far more versatile.
but they are both really good, dont get me wrong.
