no she's not..Rory becomes a main companion and Amy and Rory get married later in the series. The Doctor and Amy don't have that kind of relationship in this series. More like just really good friends.

@sholoh99 I don't think any Doctor can quite be better, or worse for that matter, than another because they are each completely different to each other. Matt Smith is good as the Doctor, so far. But David was a brilliant Doctor too.
