@GRANGSTASH it should say on the right side where you put your mouthpiece in... something along the lines of a letter followed by a number....

for example. b-125 is a trumpet in b and was a student trumpet

yes and no. there are mouthpieces that have smaller cups that promote the high range and have a bright sound, but its mostly air and lip muscles. if someone just has a screamer mouthpiece and no talent, they wont be able to hit any higher than the G inside the staff probably. it also depends on the person. some people are awesome on depper cups and suck on screamers, or like me, the other way around

Do you play better with a 5c or 7c? My teacher says a 5c should make high notes easier, but after using it for a couple weeks, I accidentally got out my 7c rather than my 5c, and it was so much easier to play! It sounded better too.

Yes, I have to agree with you. Sometimes I forget to put my Bach 3E in my gig bag. but i keep my old schilke 14A4A in there and when i use it as a back up it is quite relaxing to play on it. just somethine I have noticed over the years of playing

It's not the trumpet its a player. A great trumpeter can play beautiful music on the ugliest and lowest quality of instruments. But of course there are somethings that a better quality trumpet will fix such as the tuning of the bad notes. as for which is better I i started out on a king 600 and still play it to this day. I have also played a Bach strad and i have to say the differences is very difficult to notice. The trumpet I use right now is a Courtois Evolution IV.

Maybe it's my computer, but as I listen today, something inside me wants so badly to blow out his spit valve and yes, it's most deifinitely Rhapsody. The rest of my positive remarks remain. Well, I still play on my Bach Strad from high school..lol laugh if you want to, never strayed too far from it, believe my first was a Bach as well...As far as sound quality goes, there is a difference, but as a music lover, it doesn't matter so much to me...has been a few months since I played, you may very well inspire me to pick up something and see how it goes..lol keep up the good work

dont be ashamed bach strad is a pro trumpet, so dont feel bad with a horn of the that level. its up to to make it sound good, you should pick it up again its so fun good luck :)

Lol hey man, theres nothing wrong with kings horns. I play a king and love it. 90% of the sound quallity comes from the player anyway.

Do you have trouble with Ds, Es, and Fs being flat? I have such a problem sometimes i skip the note, and play too high, because they got so bad, the hard high notes for me are easier than my flat notes
