I LOVE this shampoo. Tried it on a lark because I use their black castor oil in my Kimmaytube mix. It really makes my hair super soft and clean (not stripped) with such a small amount. I buy it at my local beauty supply store and hope they don't stop carrying it. I bought the only bottle they had but it seems that it'll last for quite a whie. Great product.
@canitastethat2227 I no longer use this shampoo, I use Shea Moisture...but as far as conditioner, I am not picky. I use a Biotin conditioner, you can check out on my hair routine video :)
Thanks for the vid and the comments guys was about to buy this this month and my hair feels strips easily while washing this last happend with Taaliah Waajid's line.
Hey gurlie, I saw on kimmaytubes's channel that you can add contioner to your hair b4 rinsing out the shampoo so it acts as a buffer -so ur hair doesnt feel stripped. great review. Do you know if the shampoo is ph balanced (4.5-5.5), thats the ph of healthy scalp. x
Thanks for the review, but the reason why your hair probably felt stripped after washing the shampoo out is because of the saponified oils. Saponified oils are often found in many castile soaps, such as Dr. Bronners, so that's something to definitely consider!
@MissCinnamonCake hi, it's not the oils that are bad but the chemical process used to get "saponified" oils that have the potential to damage our hair. Saponified oils are alkalis (kind of like relaxers, etc.) and alkalis lift the cuticle of the hair & disrupt its chemical bond. If ur interested you should definitely check out youtuber kimmaytube, she has a great series called "Structure of Hair" where she talks about pH, Baking Soda, ACV, etc. It's really informative. Goodluck : - )
@MissCinnamonCake lol, no problem ur welcome...i am no expert but I feel like sometimes knowing the little things can make a big difference and hopefully it helps someone! once again goodluck on ur natural hair journey!
@MissCinnamonCake I use Infusium 23, peppermint oil, castor oil (reg), glycerin, rosemary oil and water to make my daily spritzer. I had to find a use for the Infusium 23.
cool, i use a similar regiment but with different oils such as coconut, grape seed and almond oil. you can check it out at @jemstone0006
