  • Still enjoying this incredible performance... I think this is now my 30th time watching it (and sharing it on Blip.fm as @avivajazz) Thank you, @waitswatcher.

  • @avivagabriel

thank you very much, you're too kind ...

There's a new tune on my channel that I thought you might enjoy as well, its called Calabash ...

maybe have a listen, if you have some time to waste ... cheers, ww :-)

  • This music sounded so good, and that visual material was so fitting, that i thought it to be some professional video+audio composition, specially crafted. But yet I was wondering - why the part of the video, showing instrument and a musician seemed so amateur? ))) Until i finally got, that all the record was done by uploader. And that impressed me so much! Cause you don’t often find someone, who’s good with oud, you know… man, - grate tune! Please keep up!

  • @negovany

thanks! glad yo like it! cheers, ww :-)

  • This is really, truly awesome. This is about my 15th time hearing it during the past year... and I never ever tire of it. It's perfect, and I consider it the equal of the very best that's here on YouTube in the "mali blues" and "desert blues" genre. Fantastic!

  • @avivagabriel

    ww

  • Wonderful. What do you call the instrument you are playing?

  • It's an arabian lute (Al'Oud), that I bought in Cairo .

    cheers, ww

  • You did a very good job here. I'm impressed.

  • glad you enjoyed... :-)

  • When I see someone who's not from West Africa playing West African music my heart goes out to them. Not many people are willing to know about our culture. It means you must be a good man.

  • thank you very much, I feel honoured.

Africa has such a rich and diverse musical culture, its exciting to explore it, like an adventurous journey.

  • Thanks for your warm compliments about Africa. You're a true gentleman. May God continue to bless you.

  • real art, great!

  • Wow, how you never fail to impress me Pascal. This tune is exciting, as well as the visuals. You got so much feeling in your music, if I were a more successful filmmaker I'd offer you an offer you wouldn't want to refuse. Man, I'd write a movie for your music :o)

    Peace,

    Sis

  • I love the blues, especially that kind of blues. Sounds awesome on that instrument.

  • Great tune WW, i can immediately recognize the malian influences, Ali Farka Toure is one of my favorite african artist with Salif Keita and Ba Cissoko. For me which has been sevral times in Africa yur music is bringing back lots of memories, the baobab, smiles of children, women pounding to prepare the fufu and so on ........Great song ! If you permit me I would like to add some treatment to it and submit to you....

  • thank you jipes!

feel free to use it as a backing track or whatever, I'm looking forward to your contribution! :-))

ps.: I can send you a stereo audio file, that might be better instead of play along to the video...

Genial!! 5 Sterne!!

  • Danke Dir vielmals, Thomas!

  • morning Pascal

Coffee and a new waitswatcher video, what can one ask for more!

  • Good morning Marco!

    :-)

Enjoy your coffee ( and the vid...)
