I know there are some houses that are empty so hopefully you are able to get one and it is nice to have a fence! from what I see, all the houses have the fenced in back yard. Good Luck :)
we definitely wanna live on base, it would be nice to get a house like this but were just hoping for a fence so we don't have to take the dog for a walk every time he has to go..... how long did it take you to get a house when you got to the base? are you able to get on the waitlist before you're there? at mcchord air force base washington even though we had orders we could not get on the list until we got there, we lived in tlf for just over a month.

It is what you make of it @tonyssweetbabygirl. I enjoy living here. the area isn't so great so base housing is prob. what you want especially if you have little ones. These houses will soon be torn down and be rebuilt. We are no undergoing privitaization so the military is no longer in charge of the housing. We just signed teh lease with the new houses! All houses will be 2 stories, 3 or 4 bedrooms, carpet, and 2 car garage. They expect us to move into the new house November 2012.
We are moving to Shaw this November, I pray to GOD we get a house this nice!! My husband is an E-6. The house we live in now doesnt have a fence which makes taking the dog out super frustrating errr...ps. your husband cracks me up at 00:52, lol :P Ive heard Sumter is an awful place to live, is it really that bad?
Thanks Jay.. We got our house Friday.. It's setup different from this video. I'll try & make a video of ours to post too. We have a small patio area outside & a nice size yard. No screened in porch. We are on S Elder.. Thanks for the info..
Thanks for this post.. I've been trying to find pictures of their housing. We are heading there in Sept. We will be in a 4 BR.. Don't like not having no carpet though.. I went through that in pope with hardwood floors.. I hated it.. Do all of the yards have a fence?We have 2 dogs. They are gonna so love the tile floor too, lol....
Finally separation from others. We are on Langley & our housing we are in is like a townhouse, but 5 attached together. No privacy whatsoever & I'm done with half th
@Sosexyithurts4u Palmetto Heights is the subdivision of 4BR 2 1/2 BA Houses in the 5000 area of the base.Everything is tile floors. Living Area and Dining area are pretty much 2 in 1.Half bath downstairs is just a toilet and sink. Upstairs are two full baths with tub/shower,sink and toilet. Bedrooms are small. The kitchens come with a gas stove, cabinet space and fridge. Backyards have living room sized screened in porches with ceiling fans and are roughly .20-.35 acres. Not bad for a few dogs.
