Its a good thing the Prometheus was recaptured because the Feds were heavily outgunned, 3 warbirds and a hijacked Prometheus vs 1 Akira and 2 Defiants are not good odds.

@niceguy60 Iunno...Defiants were unoffically considered warships and Akiras were made to combat Borg I think, they had the most torpedo launchers on any ship, I think like 16?

@niceguy60 There were a few episodes of DS9 where the Defiant would go up against a fleet of ships and kick ass ("Defiant" and "Shattered Mirror" specifically) and it was always called "one of the most powerful ships in the galaxy" and whatnot, so maybe it would do okay against a couple of warbirds.

@finalfrontier1701 good lord no, the last thing we need is a new Star Trek series trying to be 'dark and edgy' like BSG. Dont get me wrong I LOVED BSG but ever since it aired every other sci fi show is trying to emulate it rather than keeping to their own style, I mean just look at Stargate Universe if you need a case in point ;) And that was a roaring success.... /sarcasm ;)

Still dark or kiddish, I'd take it either way I just want a new Trek show on TV :(

@finalfrontier1701 again, dont get me wrong, I personally really liked SGU, and it was getting really interesting in the second season when it was canned, but I still prefered Atlantis to it and still kind of think sci fi shows need to do their own thing rather than just copy the flavour of the month ;)

have you ever noticed that lots of shows that have been on tv for a while always gets alittle more darker and mature as it gets older. Doctor Who, Stargate, Star trek matured up a bit with Enterprise. but still. Maybe not as dark as BSG but a star trek that dosent feel like Voyager did at times. Like DS9 but darker.

@Kingrex16 Stargate... disagree there, yes obviously SGU is much darker and more adult but its not a gradual slide, in fact I'd say alot of SG-1 was more 'mature' than Atlantis.

Dr Who, cant comment, Star Trek. HELL no. Are you seriously saying that Enterprise is darker/grittier than DS9? Ok it's darker than Voyager but Voyager imo was the worst of all the Trek's ;) Basically another new DS9like series would be awesome though

you prolly dont watch Doctor Who ut I can tell you some of the episodes in the newest series are really dark.

No im not saying enterprise was darker than DS9 im just saying it felt more with the times. It felt more up to date. It felt more realistic. Then again maybe im biased as Ironically Enterprise was the first Star trek i actually watched.

@Kingrex16 Personally I actually really liked Enterprise (first 2 seasons I liked, season 3, ok that was rubbish but were I totally new to Trek I might not have minded it (and I DID like the Macos). Season 4 of Enterprise is actually one of my favourite seasons of any Star Trek, loved it way more than ANY of Voyager, more than the first couple of seasons of TNG. DS9 (all of it is still my favourite though).

I really dont get why so many folks truly HATE entperise though, I loved it.

Even though it was a joint effort, I love how the EMH Mk I *really* takes control of the situation, even though the EMH Mk II is supposedly 'superior'. Obviously the valuable life lessons The Doctor earned aboard Voyager count for far more than an increased IQ.

Oh, and I do so love the Prometheus....I want one....I want one now.
