It's not that she was trying to sound like Janet it's just Shep Pettibone was mixing for just about everybody in the 80's and early 90's and he did indeed have a signature sound and you could tell one of his remixes right off. Great Song By Nia Thanks For Posting

x m used to have a dance chanell and after the merger they got rid of it but brought it back after complaints and now they got rid of it again seems all they are interested in is clasic rock plenty of chanells for that I always loved this remix

PB; 1stly thanx 4 posting this D'Lish Xtension of 'Trouble'! BUT I don't think it's fair 2 say that Nia ws copying Janet.Both songs were remixed by 80's MegaProducer Shep Pettibone.The samples used N the remixes come from a variety of sources & can B heard N many of his other remixes as well! True, Janet's 'Pleasure Princible' taken off of her "Control'"LP predates Nia's 'Trouble' BUT the LP version of 'PP' sounds nothing like the more popular Shep ReMix used N the video 4 that song!

@djmajiktuch82 they released 2 parts to CONTROL the remixes and this was on one of them. there is a rare LONG extended version of What Have You Done for Me Lately on one of there where instead of the snare drum rolling at the start, you hear a bass kick beat starting the song!!!!! I will have to locate that long version. its not the remix but actual longer version.

I have SIRIUS radio in my car and I have been listening to the 80s and 90s channel for a few months and they are Not playing enough Janet or Michael I keep hearing too much Rock from that era, they need to play more JANET!!!! especially from the 80s and 90s, I heard Come Back to Me, but i am damn still waiting to hear them play MISS U MUCH, ESCAPADE, BLACK CAT and etc!!!!!!

I think it's so sad that they show her no love, It's one of the reason's why people have forgotten about her.

@tmjw69 I was so angry about them passing over Janet...on the 80s channel, I mean I have heard every song the Bangels have made on there as well as many of them other HEAD BANGER HAIR bands from the 80s but they need to get to the DANCE Part of the 80s!!!! I did hear "GOT TIL ITS GONE" this morning on SIRIUS but on the urban station of course!!! I want more Janet otherwise I am not signing up for any further services!!! also, they need to play that amazing JANET album on the 90s channel!!

@djmajiktuch82 Hey! If I remember this correctly "Troble" was released late spring early summer of '88, just about a year after "The Pleasure Principle". Shep Pettibone did both of these remixes and I notice with alot of the remixes he did for Janet (espescially off of Rhythm Nation) sometime later he would produce someone else and use alot of the same sample's or element's from previous Janet remixes. If you ever heard the house mix for "Miss you Much" you will here "Vogue" from Madonna.

Sweet Nia has been a star on the morning CBS soap opera the Young and The Restless for over a year now. It airs at 1200 Eastern time on CBS. she just turned 48 today and she is still beautiful.

This was one of my FAVORITE REMIXES of ALL TIME!!!!!! I used to have this one, and it remains a CLASSIC!!!!!! LOL!!!!! It may sound like a "Pleasure Principle" remix...but that was the "typical 80s" remix sound at the time!!!! But, it was DA BOMB!!!!! ANd, ALWAYS will be!!!!!

It sounds like Pleasure b/c the mix is basically based on that, but you're right who cares? This is nearly my favorite song from 88, but there were so many it's hard to say. Thanks for posting payback, I've been waiting for someone to up it for years. The dub is actually better but this is Nia at her best. Since it hasn't been mentioned, it's too bad her stint on Top of the Pops didn't last, it would've been nice to see her host and occasionally perform a bit longer than she ever did.

Yeah...I know that because I used to watch it every week, and yes...she did perform "Trouble" for the first time EVER on TOTP when she was the host of that show. LOL! I love her performance on that show. What about Club MTV? She perfromed "Trouble" and a couple of other tunes on that show, too. Do you have any of those? LOL! Can you post any of them, if you do? Well the last time I saw her in the last of the 90s, she was on that show called Walker Texas Ranger and she was helping to kick some but in the South. but now i am not sure what she is doing? i am sure she is keeping busy as she was always doing something. Nia was a go getter and not a person to just sit around waiting for something.
