what are you guys talking about? she is eaisaly just as good, if not better as Thile. she plays so much cleaner and with so much more ease. it seems like anytime someone has a name for themself, there atomaticly good no matter what they do. and this is a good example of that. everyone is scared to say that she could be just as good beacuse Thile is so respected. and what about steffy. in my opinion he is way better than Thile. it all just comes down to status.

No doubt! She is not thile though. thile leans more toward his "thing". sierra is more grass oriented. you guys ever heard thile play Daybreak in dixie? Doubt it! They are both gr8 and o doubt ne of u could tune their instruments...

I've been in the music business for many years with many acheivements and I can honestly say I have never heard a picker picking that fast but every note has unique tones, blues tones and a whole s--t load of heart. Her natural ability is the best I've ever heard. The boys are great but you know when its her playing licks. I dare anyone to show me better than this girl.

As our mandolin player would say, they are having to fight their way out. This is WAYY too fast for the stuff they are trying to pull and some of them aren't coming out all that clean.

But dang, I don't think I've ever heard licks like that played on the banjo before. When Cory is older and a bit cleaner, he'll probably be the best banjo player out there.

I know exactly what you're saying. No one can dispute how amazing all of the musicians involved are but there are a couple of places where the speed of the song interferes with its accuracy. However, if I could play half as well I'd wake up every morning and thank the good lord for the gift he'd given me. Sierra is one talented lady!

Well it's what you call a "virtuoso" piece, i.e. it is deliberately show-offy. So it's going to have a whole lot of notes in it, that's what it's for. It is not an indicator of what Sierra or Cory or especially Clay Hess is capable of when they're working slow (check out Hess's "I Know Why" for an incredibly sweet and simple gospel tune).

It's fast yes. Don't mistake quantity for quality. They are good, but they would be much better if they would slow it down and try not burn everything up. At one point they sound like they are tripping over each other. I wonder why? Because it is so dang fast.
