  • @biubiuleo This is most certainly a real tourbillon. The escapement rotates within a carriage via a fixed wheel. This design has the same design characteristics as Blancpain's "carousel tourbillon". Traditional tourbillons have the balance centered in the carriage, or co-axial. The are referred to as right-angled tourbillons since the escapement is at a right angle to the balance. The Sea-Gull tourbillon has the escapement wheel & pallet arbors and balance staff in a straight line ...

  • ...continuing, the pallet arbor is co-axial to the carriage. In addition, this Sea-Gull tourbillon is also referred to as a "flying tourbillon" since the bearings are beneath the carriage.
