  • damn good job now i know what my next project will be thanks for the vid

  • damn good job

  • Very nice man... very innovative. Big fan of this tanto here.

  • the thing is a beauty. love the blade shape and whole design, would like to buy one but couldnt afford it, and there would be shipping issues. as i have the impression you live in the US.

anyway love it, keep um coming, would like to see more knife designs from you. peace

  • @MrKingtigertank , hehe, it definelty opens bottles.I'll send you some details on the knife.

  • Arfter watching you other video I have to re comment I'm interested in buying one any details would be amazing you have no idea how badly I'll love a one of a kind knife made by you

  • @blissi2010 ,Thanks mate, just email you some details, take care.

  • That thing is bad ass any for sale

  • @redraider5001 , Yes mate, i'll send you a P.M

  • @redraider5001 , Send me an email mate, I'm not sure if the messages i sent are getting sent out, my email is on my page on the left hand side, I'll then send you more details

  • Two things ,1. Is that a mild carbon steel and what grade. 2. I think all knives should have bottle opener for that tactical beer in your EDC. -:3

  • @AXE2501 , Not totally sure mate, its definetily some kind of Tool steel, its made from a modern heavey Duty Pry Bar.

  • @WeaponCollector in that case then it most likely a mild tool steel around 45 to 50 on the rockwell scale and it will hold an edge really well when tempered and sharpened

  • I'd like to see you make a dagger!

  • @crypter27 , I'll certianly try to do a dagger mate, might even try a Kriss Blade, lol.

  • this is so well made i bloody love it thumbs up mate fucking SUPER job

  • @gowersponger1 , Thanks mate, I appreciate that, cheers,

    Mike.

  • Looks good my friend!!

  • @MadBadVoodo , Thanks Rich.

  • I like it. well done. Love the idea of the screw driver.

  • @Manifold73tube Thanks mate, glad you liked it,

  • TU! looks really professional, putting all that survival kit under the chord is really brilliant and hopefully will start a new trend with knives like that!

  • @wmpyr Thanks wampire, i would love to see more companies do a similar thing, most knives don't add anything to the pommel end other than a lanyard hole,

glad you liked it mate, cheers.

  • Came out nice man. That is likely something along the lines of a 1050 steel. You need to quench it from a temperature of about 1525 degrees F to harden it. You can temper a knife in an oven, but not harden it...

  • @ArtistBlade1972 , Thanks for the tips mate, Yeah, after reading your comment i worked it out, The metal is definetily already hardened, so after grinding all i should need to do is temper it, which i did, and it definetily made a differece. i'll do a video soon.

    Mike.

  • @WeaponCollector Mike, a prybar in its working state has a spring temper which is too soft for a knife blade. Tempering will make it softer. It needs to be re-hardened, then tempered back to the proper hardness.

  • This is proffesional work. You roock!

  • @nqkoisii , Thanks bro, Glad you like it mate, cheers.

  • The oven trick is for tempering, AFTER it's already been hardened, in a forge or whatever -this makes it less hard i.e. makes it tougher. It's a good trick with files -which are too hard/brittle to make a good knife... but a prybar is almost certainly already tougher than a knife.

  • @xXxCatsnakexXx Hey mate, Thanks for the tips, Yeah, after reading your comment i worked it out, The metal is definetily already hardened - it has to be if its a pry bar, those fuckers won't ever bend - so after grinding if its kept cool all i should need to do is temper it, which i did, and it definetily made a difference. i'll do a video soon.

  • @WeaponCollector Glad to see it's worked out well Mate and thanks again for the blog tips!

  • Looks great! Nice work as usual.

  • @SkallagrimNilsson , Thanks Skall, glad you like it mate, by the way, I hope you and Cara have a Good New Year.

  • also mike i would love to know good safe websites the deliver knifes to the uk. at the moment im restricted to amazon cause thasts the only one i know works and is safe and sells knifes

  • @subby7866 thank you for the help. ive looked at battle orders and it looks good. a lot of rely cool and interesting stuff on their

  • @blissi2010 , yeah like subby said - battleorders are good, also BKCG .com, and stringtownsupplies, coldsteel u.k should be good too.

  • @WeaponCollector thank you too. their is so much more i can look at now. Oh and keep up the good videos that tanto turned out amazing. would love one for my self it looks like it would last a life time.

  • @blissi2010 Have a look at Heinnie Haynes site. They have lots of good knives on there. All the well known brands and good prices as well, plus they are cheaper than the official Cold Steel website for Cold Steel knives, and free delivery. I've used them quite a lot, and can recomend them (no, I don't work for them in case you wondered, lol). .

  • I always find it amusing when a survival knife has a bottle opener included. Because in a survival situation, nothing is more important than having a beer. Nicely done Mike.

  • Have you ever thought of making a kukri??
