1979 & 3 months surfing in La Libertad with two of my best friends. A time when the local surfer population was ex-patriot Bob R., just a few locals & the weekend "townies". Days of empty lineups & perfect waves. Nights with gun shots & bombs heard in the distance. Anger, poverty & fear was everywhere, but the surf never stopped. 30 years later I returned to find less anger, but the fear and poverty remains. Gangs, drugs & money, we get passed by yellow a Ferrari on our way out. Contrasts.
Great Trailer, I'm looking forward to getting the video. Estoy muy horgullosa que mis primas y mi mejor amiga demuestren a otras chicas de su edad que el surf se puede practicar sin importad el sexo ni la edad. Buen saludes a todo el mundo.
looking forward to watching this! excelent masterpiece!.. me parece excelente como no solo implica surf femenino sino un contexto social de los paises Sur-Americanos y nuestra dura realidad! peace to the world jah bless!
Awesome!!! awesome trailer!! i hope to see the full lenght film...when you finalize the documentary please tell us...is awesome to see something that is on my country ...ok ...sorry for the bad engilsh...hehe...
Film is not done, a new trailer will be produced soon. This will be at least a year away from being completed. It is a coming of age story, and some things need to still be documented in the lives of these young women.
any updates on the new trailer or the full documentary?
