I so remember that I was with my friends Lauren and laurel we just saw a movie called CRonicles of narnia prince caspian and when we came home the rain was really coming down hard and laurel went outside and stood right in it..and was smiling!! Boy r my friends weird or what lol
I remember that day as well. I was at work when the tornado sirens went off and we were confused so we went up to the windows to see what was going on. I saw a huge cloud rotating and looked like it was heading towards our building. My co-workers, boss and I all thought it was a big tornado so we ran downstairs to get to the lowest level of the building. Turns out that the tornado was about 5-10 miles away from where we were but we sure saw the effects of the winds from that tornado. Scary.
I grew up in Cal. and moved to Amarillo. When tornados hit, you will have a come to Jesus moment. All the stories about a frieght train rumbling through are true. It is the single scariest thing to experience. Tornados are the only thing I have seen that has Messed with TX.
I was there and it wasn't that bad... People from Tennesse just freak out about that kinda stuff, all they care about is whiskey! Lol so ya People from Tennesse driving through AmarIllo, Texas better man up cause u r in Tornado Alley
I remember this storm very very well! I was over at Shoe Carnival on Soncy Road just a little south of I-40 filling out my employment papers and it was about time for me to go get my mom at work, but my boss over there would not let me leave because the tornado sirens were going off like mad! He wouldn't even let me watch the storm out the front windows! I had to stay in the office and monitor the weather radio since I understood what they were saying and then I had to translate it for him. lol!
This vid was taken at I-40 and Western St. at the Toot-n-Totum. Check out the gas prices on the sign behind him! Now thats scary. The tornado was about 4 miles east of him. He pulls out heading west away from it. We live just off of Tanglewood Rd.about 5 miles south of the city. It went right over us. Crazy day!
This was a very scary day. I was just about to get off of work, and we were told there was a tornado warning. I stayed outside to see what was happening with some co-workers. This was a funny video because of whoever was yelling at poor Tiffany to get off the phone.
He's right I heard that roaring sounding like a freight train sound three years ago on April 2, 2006 between 9:18 to 9:25 at night and it was a tornado passed over my house in Brownsville, Tennessee and did no damage to my house and no damage to the other houses it was moving east on the ground when it reached my house it changed it direction from east to due northeast picked up a little more speed.
It was on June 19th 2008, in the afternoon I think around 4:30.. we were traveling through and stopped for "lunch" at the Blue Sky burger joint.. The radio said Tennis Ball size hail was falling and winds in the area were 87 mph... we boned out and didn't stay for the entire show hahaha... hope no one got hurt...
That is happening on my b-day!!SWEET!

ya those sirens have gone off in alot of storms but if a tornado actuall touches down it usually skims by the edge of town in open fields
rebelplayer68 10 months ago
The tornado never really actually happened. So no one has to worry about if anyone got hit.
