That f0recast is talking to an off-screen iPhone. Here's how to tell....

At 01:34, f0recast shows its info after the "reboot". But the "slide to unlock screen" doesn't appear until 01:50. That's when lockdownd starts, and that's what f0recast needs to talk to to get its info.

So this video shows f0recast getting its info 16 seconds before it's possible. Try it on your own phone, you'll see.

well....i just did and: My iPhone turn on faster, and it took 5 seconds before the lockscreen to show the info on the forecast and his iPhone surely took around 15 seconds but my iphone was on the lockscreen almost 10 seconds before his.

So...i don't know what to beleive...maybe is a fake, but...i'll more than happy if he did it.

That right! Normally f0recast starts to show his information about 5 seconds before lockscreen... with Gull1hack it takes longer because of sending the boot command takes time! The iPhone is nearly started, and f0recast can use this a few more seconds before the lockscreen

Don;t take this seriously. I hail from the main #iphone channel where the DevTeam is from (i am user cmdshft), and the first problem here is that ih8sn0w has made a poor application to determine the tethered/untethered state of the device. You have to manually check the bootrom version from DFU mode to know this.

Old bootrom= 359.3

New bootrom= 359.3.2 <-- Tethered.

It's generally accepted that after week 40 is when the new bootroms come in, but the consistency has been low.

Which means that someone can have a week 42 3GS and be tethered, and someone else can have a week 42 3GS and be untethered.

It's unreliable to determine tethered state based on weeks.

To prove the validity of this jailbreak method, the "team" needs to show the whole process. Show that it's untethered jailbreak via the devteam tools as they are now, then in the same video load up their tool and prove that it's untethered. This will wipe all claims of it being a fraud.

Look when it boots. Looks like they've replaced the Blackra1n booting screen with a Apple booting screen. It changes one second before the phone starts. It takes three times longer than an usual boot with real firmware...
