Paul Krugman, what an idiot can yo imagine him getting a Noble prize on economics? How can this government even suggest a National healthcare programs on top of other entitlements that we are not funding.
Our governemet took in 107 billion in tax receipts last months and spent 368 billion, how long can this last, what am I not seeing here? How can the economy still be looking this good even?
dont do business with big banks, but if you really want to hurt em, dont borrow money from them, dont carry any debt period, this is the core of their scam, they make money off your debt in the form of interest. Save money for a rainy day and borrow from yourself
The hyperinflation Tsunami started already in developing countries like China, Egypt, and Venezuela. As the people in those countries use cash in about 90% of their transactions. The lifeboat of this Tsunami is to buy Gold and Silver. As prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: a time will come on mankind that nothing will benefit except Gold and Silver.
Same here. It sounds masochistic, but I actually look forward to the day where Americans will forced to recognize that we just can't live the way we have been over the past 40 years while the rest of the world lives off two dollars a day and eats a diet consisting primarily of rice. Can't wait to see if we get back to sound money and a productive economy. A lot of us just want the charade to come to an end. Hopefully so.
What does one TRILLION dollars look like? All this talk about stimulus packages and bailouts... A billion dollars... A hundred billion dollars... Eight hundred billion dollars... One TRILLION dollars... What does that look like?
This is the systematic bankrupting and fleecing of America. Policies from the White House are going to produce hyperinflation, unemployment, and greater deficits with no end in sight.
$2T is about $6k per person in the US right? and about $300 per person globally.
It's not as large of a number as you might initially assume based on the amount of over leverage currently in the system.
So let's assume Krugman was right (and I'm not...) would it be worth $6k per person for everyone in the US if it restored the financial system to a pseudo sustainable 50 year balance? Sure..
"Forecast: Sacramento unemployment to hit 13.5 percent
(from Sacramento Business Journal)
Unemployment in the Sacramento region will likely hit 13.5 percent in early 2010, according to the Sacramento Business Review.
The Business Review is a forecast published by Sanjay Varshney, dean of California State University Sacramentos College of Business Administration and Jason Bell of the CFA Society of Sacramento."
So we can see things are getting worse, not better, in the golden state !
Joe Smith would be ashamed of MOT!His predictions are dismal and wrong. MOT's statements are as inconsistent and wild as his ever changing hair style and "general look". I guess this is his way of projecting coolness and sincerity? The Prophet Smith must be embarrassed. MOT needs an integrity and soul cleansing not a colonic wash. May the Lord help him.
I agree MOT, I've been listening to "thebobchapmanchannel" on youtube and man he really explains things well also. I'm trying to get my girlfriend to get out of her cd account and buy some silver bullion, but she's not having it...lol
Hi jaing, CD's earn what? 3-6% per year? Gold has risen for the last 9 yrs. and 2009 was it's best yet at 25% Silver out performed gold this year at 45%. Silver has averaged 20% for the last 10 yrs!? Inflation is at 6% Perhaps she would consider allocating a portion of her savings into silver in possession and then compare at the end of a year. Besides, there is nothing like holding precious metals in the hand unlike a piece of paper & no taxes involved if sold privately.
early 1900s, we had a huge deficit...mid 1900s, we had a huge deficit...during desert storm we had a decent deficit...during the Clinton admin, when we weren't at war...WOAH! SURPLUS!? there's a pattern there...of course were spending a lot this year, there was a depression AND a war...was either one Obama's fault? no.
heard of FDR? Obama is FDR 2.0, nothing new, business as usual. stop regurgitating quotes like their your original ideas jackass.
2003: Barney Frank (D-CN) says F&F are not in a crisis. He bashes Republicans for crying wolf and calls F&F financially sound. Democrats block the Republican-sponsored regulation legislation.
2005: Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan voices a warning over F&F accounting. We are placing the total financial system of the future at a substantial risk.
2005: Sen. Charles Schumer, (D-NY) says I think Fannie and Freddie over the years have done an incredibly good job and are an intrinsic part of making America the best-housed people in the world if you look over the last 20 or whatever years, theyve done a very, very good job.
2006: Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) again calls for reform. For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the marketplace the GSEs (government sponsored enterprises) need to be reformed without delay.
2006: Democrats again block reform legislation.
2008: Housing market collapses; Democrats blame the Republicans!
BTW we are with you 100% and thats why we are here. I like the fact you shut off the {Thumbs} option on this V-blog, you should do it to all in the future...
This is that kind of logic the comes from these Wall Street Establishment Keyeisan types. Krugman is no different I used follow his analysis but has since learned better. Krugman to say that we need another 2 trillion to pour back into the markets is the same jackassery that got us to this point. For a better analogue, this is the equalivalent of burning your house down in order to stay warm in the middle of winter rather then chopping and gathering firewood.
I'm not much for blaming others. I pursue opportunity without relying on the government to provide it for me. These people I seek work from are the same who benefitted from government policy and programs. Now I only ask for an equal opportunity to work. There are many foreign workers working in these neighborhoods, so I know there is work that can be done. The real problem is asking people who have everything, who've forgotten they have some insignificant duty afforded by tax breaks
Tax rate reduction, "because who knows better how to spend our money, the government or us?"
During the last election I asked my customer to make the best argument he could for the candidate he thought best for the job; being that he worked for a defense contractor most of his life and was in Korea where he had often briefed MacArther, He said McCain because he knew how to keep the troops working.
I think the harder task is how to motivate successful people who feel entitled.
Milton Freeman and Alan Greenspan felt greed was the greatest motivator-- so the Fed created Trillions and Trillions of dollars, but now Sendin, you believe we should cut the most successful people a break? Didn't they already benefit hugely from tax breaks for the past three decades?
I'm a producer, so I create wealth. I am not asking for a bailout or a government incentive to produce something, just some opportunity to feel that I am a useful, honest, hardworking, skilled American. That really doesn't fly against the best interests of the rich does it?
I have to head to work and will get back to you on this and no I never felt the Rich should get a break. Another problem I have always advocated against is illegal migrant workers who steel thousands of jobs from Americans every year... I have to head out I will get back to you.
All I can do is ask for opportunity, and provide the best product I can manage to deliver. The standards are often different for one than for another. I understand the rich. I am happy for their success; and I understand the pressures they have; but they appear to lack compassion, for the most part. How i know this has come from years of experience and a decade of reading. Their world is collapsing from within--their's is but a shallow illusion of a life. I give them opportunity.
.... to show what they stand for; what they are made of.
I have worked in the homes of many CEOs and top managers: Apple, SRI, Google, HP, Bechtel, IBM, and others. For the most part, these were fine people. I've learned by observation and patience. They have always given me high respect and trust; but most of all they have taught me.
Hi Defy, Bingo ! I respectfully suggest you read Ed Steele's 'Defensive racism" If you dare. It outlines the gameplan. Plus he is an ardent silver bug for good reason.
Silver has been making a climb in the last 4 or 5 days YEPPY lol. Today it closed at 18.65 and making good gains every day. I hope it drops back in the 17's because I got some cash I am holding to buy some more. I waited to see what was going to happen today but it gained another 14 cents... APMEX charges 210 above spot and Miles Franklin (my friend Dave) charges 175 above spot so thats why I hope it drops a bit so I can make the sting lol. Anyway I am happy its going up...
Hi K9, This Thursday, the CFTC is having an open to the public meeting on position limits. This is an epic historical event. Even if they don't address the concentrated shorts in silver, it will be affected and only be going up. Buy as much as you can while you can. Anything under $20 is a screaming deal. In 1980 it went up to $50. adjust that to todays inflation should equal $132. So it can happen. There is less silver now and way more money chasing it. forget the price. just get it !
GREAT!!! I can always rely on you for a reliable update and great insite and thats precisely why I always ask you when I have a point of interest. Well thats good news about the commission. I wonder what the turn out will be. Well I have another 2000 to spend so I think I am off the APMEX. Ordering threw BEI (Miles Franklin) has to for some reason go threw email and is much slower to the point where I placed an, CONT>
order on a certain spot price only to find out the order went in the following day at a higher rate, this happened twice and in both cases I am talking about 15 to 30 cents + on the ounce. APMEX you can use your bank card and get in there electronically at spot. I had to notify the bank to increase my spending limit on the card simply because I don't use credit cards, never did and never will although the applications make great fire starters. Cash on the Barrel Head thats me lol. CONT>
Well Silveraspen, it looks like things are going to get interesting around here... Thanks for that info, I am going to read up on the commission and see what else is going on. Right now I am heading to APMEX... Talk Soon, If it eventually hits $50 the Champaign is on me lol...
Hi K9, Thanks for your kind words. I could be the poster child for silver. I am "all in." My hyper focus is silver. I don't talk religon or politics, only in regard to how it pertains to currency theory. 10 years of study and it boils down to .....yup, silver NOT gold. Gold is great, silver is better.
Big business has always been controlled by the Jews along with the banks, they also have a strangle hold on the US Congress. Big business (Wall St) is where GREED was created and where there is greed you will find them. 99% of Madolf's clientel were Jewish trying to make a easy buck even in the face of all the suspicions and unreal returns. The greed money factor blinded thier common sense. These Jewish investors now have law suits against the Gov's SEC. As always no risk!
I work for demanding people. I prepared and it took a few months away from doing a customer's work. Now I am broke and they are making me wait for their inheritance to come in.
I've gone door-to-door for a week, now, and no-one has given me even an hour of work. I've looked in a very exclusive area and not one single bite, well one gut promised to let me fix a hinge, but he said he'd have to ask his wife first. No call yet.
I know why. At the country club they got the word out that the carefulcarpenter poet handyman guy is a communist propagandist. He's going door-to-door trying to convert us to some hippy cult movement. Don't give him any work or opportunity to create anything of value--that will teach him to STFU and go along with the program. We don't want him to ruin our nice little bail-out capitalism scheme and replace it with that free-market s&*t!
Your not the only one in the US that is without work, 17 million people are out of work with no prospects for a job in sight. I assure you its not the rich country clubers plotting against you. If you keep thinking that kind of thought you will eventually implode. People are hurting CC and the construction business is numero uno to feel it and the last ones to recover from it so hang on tight because its gonna be a long ride. Its not a plot against CC and it certainly isn't capitalisms fault
Building creates wealth and economy. Now its up to those who HAVE wealth to make something with their efforts and skills. I don't think they can. They really are not what they believe they are. They can't create anything without the builders of wealth.
Excuses, excuses , excuses. People can not handle the truth; they are afraid of it. A motivated and skilled worker should not be without maintenance type work in hard times. Greed has closed off the hearts of the fearful.
"Fear of death increases in exact proportion to increase in wealth."
Yes maintenance work should always be at hand because things do not stop breaking down because of a troubled economy however, I don't know the demographics of your area whether it be full of rich people who make well into the millions annually but if they are the average middle class even upper middle class making 500 K a year these are the same people who are losing or lost their backsides in the stock market so, CONT>
they most likely are cutting back on personal services, fixing hinges or anything else for that matter may not be that very high on their priorities list right now. I think your failing to see it from their stand point, tuff times effects everyone except these politicians and theses Wall St crooks. Now back to your customers, these are the same people who have employed you while times were good so why would they not want to employ you now, instead you walk away upset claiming, CONT>
C. they are purposely back stabbing you because they are greedy... Your not being reasonable. I know many skilled people in the trades who are looking for work right now, some are finish carpenters, some are granite counter top and tile guys all looking for work and all are very skilled and have just about given up and are now getting angry or frustrated just like you are. That is why I said you will implode if you let it get the best of you. CONT>
D. Maybe its time to change your occupation, go to vocational college on a Fed Pell grant and learn how to work on Green car technology or Wind Turbines because this looks like the way of the forced future of America and you can do Vo College at any reasonable age. Not sure how old you are CC but if your in your 70's then I guess college would be off the table. CONT>
All I can say my friend is I think you directing the blame in the wrong direction and try not to let it get the best of you as bad as reality may be right now.
There are 35 Tribes in Washington State and I would say most are into land development and/or casinos. Our tribe S'Klallam tribe has a very successful construction company and while the boom was on they were building homes left and right but now not so much HOWEVER they are building the huge clinic and are still building some homes. JKT Construction. They also added a nice size mini market to the casino just down the road and, CONT>
are looking on putting up a huge hotel next to the casino which as far as I am concerned is GREAT this way instead of people drinking and driving they will get a room and sleep it off... If you total Tribes in the entire State and not just in my area it numbers over 500 tribal nations.
Once you come out of your fake world and realize that man can't rule then not only until then we will have peace on earth, those in power must be destroyed all of it and start a new , the law cant' work for some and not all. thats why its 1 law Gods law ! yet they say " In God We Trust. not true very false . in the devil they trust!
manoftruth, Economists failed to understand how fragile our financial system was.
You called all this some time ago. What I find amazing is how the collapse is done bit by bit. Nobody is going to get blamed for it and there is no attempt to stop the continuation of failed policies.
The same economists will so called continue to fail to understand how fragile the system is leading to another disaster and provide another bogus expensive solution that will be the kiss of death.
We're at a baseball game. The fans in the box seats behind home plate have owned season passes for life. They insist we play another game! They do not want to hear that the season is over-- that the game has gotten old, and the rules don't fit as a metaphor any longer.
The fans are cold and bitter, but they trudge down to the stadium to keep the bosses dreams alive. They don't know why they go--it has just been habit, they guess-- a habit they force onto their children. Pride and fear....
they feel they must keep the tradition going, even though most are bored and fatigued. Baseball just isn't a metaphor for this life any more. No one wants to tell the boss. We all know what happens to the one who tells the boss the truth.
You guys don't pay attention... When congress was grilling economists about tarp when everyone said the sky was falling and the had to do something, I watched and listened to what the real experts said... Which was in order for them to really fix the problem they needed at least 20 trillion if not 30 to 40...So it's no surprise all they did was kick the can down the road, they could not politically do the right thing, They did what was safe. They can't fix this without doing what was prescribed.
What about Canada? Does Canada print lots and lots of money the same way the U.S. does? Canada's dollar is basically fiat currency as well, so wouldn't Canada follow suit with the U.S.?
Canada is certainly following the US on stimulus. Right now, the Fed. Gvt. is running a deficit of $50 billion. This only a projection and they have been consistently wrong. The gvt. said the deficit would only be $30 billion, but that was six months ago. Expectations are that the number will hit over 60 billion by the end of the fiscal year. And the gvt. claims a balanced budget in two years without tax increases or spending cuts. Other opinions say that the real number will be at least (con't)
The real number will be at least 18 billion. I don't think it will be that low at all, and it will run for years. The Conservatives prorogued Parliament last year before their spending spree, and they did it again over the holidays. Prorogue means a new throne speech and a new agenda. They are doing all this to avoid elections or criticism. Canada will be in the same shape as the US with five to ten years, if not worse off. The plan to bankrupt Canada is well under way.
Good for my Silver...don't you just love inflation...more of the same place. I did care, but now the system is going to fall apart anyway so more please...
How about some info that is not already common knowledge in this community? I see no reason to offer praise for basic generalizations and speculation.
I can't wait to hear your prediction on the next crash.. I say commercial real estate, but not so sure anymore. Too many wildcards out there; at this point, could be anything, i.e, natural disaster, dollar collapse, terrorist attack, foriegn countries exit from buying out debt. The list goes on and on. Hard to guess what they're planning. I really believe it might be a few things, i.e, "disaster capitalism" in order to bring forth that global agenda that's in place.
Their not going to fix the economy with more trillions of dollars their just going to add inflation to the equation and inflation will add up to more unemployment. Where does it end?
Thank you for the insight! I worry when the whole system comes down that foreign investors are going to come in and just buy up everything! including real estate, empty warehouses, etc.
Hell just look what the Gov is doing to the Bond Market. Its ridiculous. As soon as people WAKE UP and realize Obama and his admin are purposely collapsing the US economy and Capitalism the sooner we can try to stop it... These are radicals in Washington hell bent on turning this nation into a socialist society under a fascist regime. We are now 100% a service society with no production what so ever and if anyone thinks this new liberal (Green jobs) BS is going to bail us out your NUTS!...
This COMPLETELY Discredits Paul Krugman as a 'Nobel Prize Winning Economist '-
In a 2002 NY Times OP-Ed, Paul Krugman wrote: "Alan Greenspan needs to create a housing bubble to replace the Nasdaq bubble." - (Bottom of Paragraph 7)
Since I cannot post a hyperlink here, just search for the article's title in Google (article title: "Dubya's Double Dip?").
You can go on Ebay and buy MRE's (Meals Ready To Eat) surplus from the US Military... I bought two cases and have them stored in my garage. The price is good, the packaging is sealed tight and chemical resistant and has a self life of many, many years...
Taste? Anything taste good when your starving even the plants MOT likes to eat lol...
You can also buy portable burners to heat the food and crank handle water purifier filters for rivers and streams. Filter breakdowns in microns
You can get a case of MRE's for anywhere from 30 to 45 bucks and there is 12 in a small case. You can also buy a years supply at a discount price of about 187 dollars. It may take 1500 bucks or so to feed a family of 3 for one year. However if you are in an area like mine you can hunt which will extent the life of those MRE's. Problem is after a while the hunted animals will become scarce SO fishing would be next.
In the 19th century the native Americans depended on crops to sustain a healthy life. Hunting was never an effective means to their survival as population increased. For your survival it might be best to use the gun to rid the neighborhood of competition, then go fishing and hunting. :)
I am not the White Man that came to this country and killed Indians and took their land NOR did my ancestry have anything to do with Slavery. I know what you hinting at and MY FAMILY had nothing to do with either!!! I am also not a murderer...
Not at all. You missed the point totally. I was just pointing out some reality to the idea of people living off the land. The Native Americans depended heavily on agriculture as the population increased and as they got used to more modern conveniences. Imagine having a steel hatchet head from Europe as opposed to a sharp rock strapped on a stick?
I dont know CC sometimes its hard to follow you...
I took the last comment as point of the White Mans savageness which the Indians have always pointed out and rightfully so especially during Custer's time. I figured since you were telling me to murder my neighbors you were making that same point. Sorry for the misunderstanding...
Misunderstanding cause most of the troubles in the world. I've recently attempted @ motdotcom to lay out my particular family's history to demonstrate that we are all connected. I come from a family that demonstrated nothing but love--in many forms. Rich and poor immigrants, some who merged with the native tribes, some who were soldiers, founding fathers, statesmen, governors, famous writers and artists, farmers, tradesmen, doctors, nurses, bankers, debtors.
Pretty much every war was fought family against family. Something would happen, and then blame would be dolled out, then someone would have a cause. In the end the victors praised the other for their strength, courage, and genius.
Ie. Chief Tecumseh and General William Tecumseh Sherman. Although Sherman was only a family friend, he did persuade his comrade Gen. David Hunter, my GGG Uncle to torch Savanna, the home of my GGG Aunt's family, the William Washington Gordons, yes family of G. W.
Tecumseh was praised as "the rare genius that comes along and turns the world upside down."
Misunderstanding, it is always a misunderstanding, but the world gets torched-- then the icons of history are listened to as prophets in their time. Up until the END OF TIMES no one understands these rare geniuses.
I just think these rare people are mentally healthier and happier than the bulk of nuckleheads who can't, or won't listen or look at the bigger picture: we are all family, you and I.
Our children will inherit our spirit, so what one will it be? Of ONENESS or of FRAMENTATION?
Well CC this time I followed you and I agree 100%. Misunderstanding is a great cause for "many" troubles but I dont think "all". These days I think it is corruption which is destroying us however, maybe in some weird way corruption was started by a misunderstanding somewhere along the line. In my case I recognized it and addressed it, this is not always the case and that is how it causes many of these troubles you mentioned. On another note: That is a very impressive family tree you have.
I had a calling. My family did not pass down to us this information; I discovered it through research. There are many well-researched genealogical reports posted on the internet. Our family always told me that I could be anything I wanted. I chose to serve others, just as you have. It takes more courage to live a humble life than to brag about who your family is. I reveal this information in hopes that my calling is for good purposes.
And just for the record I side with our Native American Indians,
I know the history of Indians like Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull and all the Great Warriors of the tribes, my Dad is very much into this history and has all the books some of which I have read. I know Sherman's story and the cruel stories of Kid Carson contaminating the Indians blankets with small pocks, this was the first known biological weapon in Americas history and most likely the world, CONT>
The Indians are honorable people. Today I am happy for them and support the casinos and other business adventures they have worked hard in creating in order to help and better thier people however up here they dont only help the tribes, up here our Clallam Tribe has built a 2 million dollar medical clinic (still under contraction) for the public with the profits they have made from the 7 Cedars Casino. CONT>
Our Tribe helps many people OUTSIDE of the Tribe and I am good friends with the Chief and Tribal Police. The Casinos created many good jobs for the younger tribal members who "some" have had addictions of alcohol in thier lives but now have been on a clean bill of health for many many years as part of thier employment agreements and derivative payments from casino profits, this also extends into reservation housing... CONT>
4. If there is any group of people I feel bad for and blame White man for thier destruction it would be the Indians. Today they are making GREAT strides and they are doing it on thier own without the help of the US Gov... They also have the most intriguing history and culture out of all the worlds cultures.
I've been reading a bit about the Native Tribes of the East; they were deeply spiritual as you know. Our modern culture is very external, whereas a spiritual culture in introverted. Extroversion is not a bad thing, but in its extreme, it robs a person of some very important treasures. We are a "drive-by culture". The spiritual path requires a compete reversal of perspective; not easy with all the media exposure in people's lives.
Media shapes our perception--thereby creating misperception, and the fear, insecurity, and arrogance that we so vividly witness in society. Most people are so unwilling to look within, for they are short on attention span and the patience require to take such important journeys of
discovery.
You, my friend, are blessed with companionship and projects-- these are life-filling activities which take you away from society's overdose of media; to a peaceful place you venture. Casinos are not that!
Good that the New Native Americans, you and I included, can now benefit from the weaknesses of the Old Country thinking; a system of thought that leads a person away from the values that made America the land of hope and spiritual emergence.
A casino is a place where those who love money and illusion can go to entertain their decadent natures-- so far, far from the inner world of the peace and serenity they so much abhor. The Native Americans now own the key to the deadman's prison. Will they grant more mercy than the last owner?
Although I am not a gambler and have never spent one dime on Casino slots, pool tabs nor do I even know how to play poker or any other card game (it all never interest me nor do see how people can gamble thier money away) however with that said I can see your point and it is up to the New Tribes to enforce the old culture structure that made them a people in the first place. CONT>
I know a good Indian women who is a very close friend of mine and neighbor two houses away who does just that. Linda creates Old Native American Arts, I have been to her home many times where I get schooled on the meaning of her creations. She has a small shop within the Casino where she teaches and sells native American art she has created. She is very very proud of her ancestry (rightfully so) and this is her way of keeping the old culture alive. She also has workshops for the, CONT>
C. young tribal members who learn the TRUE traditions of thier ancestry. Some of the tribes here is Washington are very close to their ancestry, many build 30 to 40ft long canoes from the big trees here in Washington, they have tribal races and the tools they used to build them have been pasted down by thier GG grandfathers, they also have Whale hunts out in Neah Bay Wa where they will hunt 1 whale every year in keeping with the Treaties & thier traditions. CONT>
Some were up and arms about this type of hunting but I said GOOD I am happy the tradition is being past on and happy the tribes are keeping the US Gov's nose to those treaties they agreed on. So you see CC its not all that bad and the culture is being preserved as much as possible here in Washington. Now the American people are fighting to keep thier Constitution and the question is will both the American people and Native Americans be able to keep the US Gov from taking away both...
We had better learn our history because the same games are stealing from us our heritage, too. Remeber, in Casino Capitalism you only own the seat until you run low on chips, then Bruno whispers in your ear what was whispered to my own dad:
"It's time you move away from the table, Robert, unless you want to go home in a pine box"
My dad was playing next to a drunk guy who was up 100's of thousands of dollars in today's value. My dad was shoeing the bar maid away from the guy.
You know-- if you can't be "owned" they don't give you as many chips. I think my family learned so much in the 18th and 19th century that they granted our side of the family "the gift of independence. A rare gift I must say!
"Fame and fortune eventually become a burden to one's children"
As far as the 7 Cedars Casino goes they did originally use the banks to draw loans to build the casino, they also had a few corporate investors however this was over 12 years ago maybe longer and since then the Tribe has celebrated total independence as of 4 years ago when the took full ownership of the casino and that also means buying the investors shares which as part of the original agreement were never allowed to own more then 40% of the stock. CONT>
Since then it is fully owned and operated by the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe who have made further investments in our community. Trust me there is no Mafia up here on this Peninsula, the State Patrol along with all the Federal Marshalls who are running around would make quick work of those thugs. The Washington State Patrol is not a law enforcement agency one would want to mess with if they engage in such behavior. CONT>
I'm not suggesting that there is anything devious about the tribes casinos, but if you look at the Wall Street Banking Cartel you will see they were suits and look quite unpretentious.
I'm encouraged to hear that in Washington State the tribes are bringing their ways into business and the community. In New York and New Jersey the community loved the mob because they brought the money home. Now the money is off-shore.
As of a few days ago, when I look at certain YouTube videos, my phone calls sound strange and cut off strangely. Greetings from France. Gary McKinnon.
MOT!!! Great to see you back! Get ready. There MIGHT be some very interesting things taking place in mid-January. If a certain foreign prime minister was correct in his report from a closed-door meeting with Obama and his cabinet, MANY banks could be in serious trouble shortly after the new year starts off. He was told a possible dollar devaluation could follow if the situation cannot be controlled. In any case, I'll be ready. Take care and keep your eyes open!!!
The ship is lost ! Abandon ship ! Silver is the only "life preserver" at our disposal. Silver is the only antidote to the financial storms upon us. Gold is more like the lifeboat. Gold is for sissies.....GOT SILVER ?

Sure..
So now the question is, is Krugman right?..

Sendin,
I'm not much for blaming others. I pursue opportunity without relying on the government to provide it for me. These people I seek work from are the same who benefitted from government policy and programs. Now I only ask for an equal opportunity to work. There are many foreign workers working in these neighborhoods, so I know there is work that can be done. The real problem is asking people who have everything, who've forgotten they have some insignificant duty afforded by tax breaks
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
Tax rate reduction, "because who knows better how to spend our money, the government or us?"
During the last election I asked my customer to make the best argument he could for the candidate he thought best for the job; being that he worked for a defense contractor most of his life and was in Korea where he had often briefed MacArther, He said McCain because he knew how to keep the troops working.
I think the harder task is how to motivate successful people who feel entitled.
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
Milton Freeman and Alan Greenspan felt greed was the greatest motivator-- so the Fed created Trillions and Trillions of dollars, but now Sendin, you believe we should cut the most successful people a break? Didn't they already benefit hugely from tax breaks for the past three decades?
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
I'm a producer, so I create wealth. I am not asking for a bailout or a government incentive to produce something, just some opportunity to feel that I am a useful, honest, hardworking, skilled American. That really doesn't fly against the best interests of the rich does it?

All I can do is ask for opportunity, and provide the best product I can manage to deliver. The standards are often different for one than for another. I understand the rich. I am happy for their success; and I understand the pressures they have; but they appear to lack compassion, for the most part. How i know this has come from years of experience and a decade of reading. Their world is collapsing from within--their's is but a shallow illusion of a life. I give them opportunity.

2528997 2 years ago
Canada is certainly following the US on stimulus. Right now, the Fed. Gvt. is running a deficit of $50 billion. This only a projection and they have been consistently wrong. The gvt. said the deficit would only be $30 billion, but that was six months ago. Expectations are that the number will hit over 60 billion by the end of the fiscal year. And the gvt. claims a balanced budget in two years without tax increases or spending cuts. Other opinions say that the real number will be at least (con't)
bearmare 2 years ago
The real number will be at least 18 billion. I don't think it will be that low at all, and it will run for years. The Conservatives prorogued Parliament last year before their spending spree, and they did it again over the holidays. Prorogue means a new throne speech and a new agenda. They are doing all this to avoid elections or criticism. Canada will be in the same shape as the US with five to ten years, if not worse off. The plan to bankrupt Canada is well under way.

Not at all. You missed the point totally. I was just pointing out some reality to the idea of people living off the land. The Native Americans depended heavily on agriculture as the population increased and as they got used to more modern conveniences. Imagine having a steel hatchet head from Europe as opposed to a sharp rock strapped on a stick?
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
I dont know CC sometimes its hard to follow you...
I took the last comment as point of the White Mans savageness which the Indians have always pointed out and rightfully so especially during Custer's time. I figured since you were telling me to murder my neighbors you were making that same point. Sorry for the misunderstanding...

@SendinK9

carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
Tecumseh was praised as "the rare genius that comes along and turns the world upside down."
Misunderstanding, it is always a misunderstanding, but the world gets torched-- then the icons of history are listened to as prophets in their time. Up until the END OF TIMES no one understands these rare geniuses.

I just think these rare people are mentally healthier and happier than the bulk of nuckleheads who can't, or won't listen or look at the bigger picture: we are all family, you and I.
Our children will inherit our spirit, so what one will it be? Of ONENESS or of FRAMENTATION?
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
Well CC this time I followed you and I agree 100%. Misunderstanding is a great cause for "many" troubles but I dont think "all". These days I think it is corruption which is destroying us however, maybe in some weird way corruption was started by a misunderstanding somewhere along the line. In my case I recognized it and addressed it, this is not always the case and that is how it causes many of these troubles you mentioned. On another note: That is a very impressive family tree you have.

@SendinK9
Misunderstanding, misperception--> fear.

1.
Very well CC,
And just for the record I side with our Native American Indians,
I know the history of Indians like Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull and all the Great Warriors of the tribes, my Dad is very much into this history and has all the books some of which I have read. I know Sherman's story and the cruel stories of Kid Carson contaminating the Indians blankets with small pocks, this was the first known biological weapon in Americas history and most likely the world, CONT>

and it was horrible.
4. If there is any group of people I feel bad for and blame White man for thier destruction it would be the Indians. Today they are making GREAT strides and they are doing it on thier own without the help of the US Gov... They also have the most intriguing history and culture out of all the worlds cultures.

@SendinK9
The spiritual path requires a compete reversal of perspective; not easy with all the media exposure in people's lives.
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
Media shapes our perception--thereby creating misperception, and the fear, insecurity, and arrogance that we so vividly witness in society. Most people are so unwilling to look within, for they are short on attention span and the patience require to take such important journeys of
discovery.
You, my friend, are blessed with companionship and projects-- these are life-filling activities which take you away from society's overdose of media; to a peaceful place you venture. Casinos are not that!
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
Good that the New Native Americans, you and I included, can now benefit from the weaknesses of the Old Country thinking; a system of thought that leads a person away from the values that made America the land of hope and spiritual emergence.
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
A casino is a place where those who love money and illusion can go to entertain their decadent natures-- so far, far from the inner world of the peace and serenity they so much abhor. The Native Americans now own the key to the deadman's prison. Will they grant more mercy than the last owner?

Very good insite CC,
Although I am not a gambler and have never spent one dime on Casino slots, pool tabs nor do I even know how to play poker or any other card game (it all never interest me nor do see how people can gamble thier money away) however with that said I can see your point and it is up to the New Tribes to enforce the old culture structure that made them a people in the first place.

My dad was shoeing the bar maid away from the guy.
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
The casino wanted their money back and my dad was suspicious that they would drug the drinks. Similar people own Washington DC.
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
You know-- if you can't be "owned" they don't give you as many chips. I think my family learned so much in the 18th and 19th century that they granted our side of the family "the gift of independence. A rare gift I must say!

Well CC,
As far as the 7 Cedars Casino goes they did originally use the banks to draw loans to build the casino, they also had a few corporate investors however this was over 12 years ago maybe longer and since then the Tribe has celebrated total independence as of 4 years ago when the took full ownership of the casino and that also means buying the investors shares which as part of the original agreement were never allowed to own more then 40% of the stock.

CONT>

As for other places like Vegas etc I cant say especially in Chicago or New York but as far as Washington State it is on the up and up.
SendinK9 2 years ago
I'm not suggesting that there is anything devious about the tribes casinos, but if you look at the Wall Street Banking Cartel you will see they were suits and look quite unpretentious.
I'm encouraged to hear that in Washington State the tribes are bringing their ways into business and the community. In New York and New Jersey the community loved the mob because they brought the money home. Now the money is off-shore.

I say this to remind us all, what putrid and vile hatred that was spewed at this good man just a few weeks ago.
Remember, Lest you walk a mile in another mans moccasins, do not judge him.
And one better, " judge not, lest ye be judged."
