I agree. They picked LBJ in '60 to of course carry Texas, and also because he was the most powerful Democrat in the country (along with Speaker Sam Rayburn) and they needed him on their team. If they dropped him in '64 it would've not only created suspiscion, but division in the party that would've severly damaged their chances. We like to think now that JFK would've been elected for sure, but this is far from the case. JFK was still very unpopular in some parts of the country.

For those people who say "no conspiracy" in the 1963 assassination of JFK, you would be wrong. The vice-president to Kennedy, Lyndon Baines Johnson, did participate with some members of government agencies to assassination another head of state.

This assassination took place in the same month/year of 1963, just before the JFK assassination.
