  • Johnj, what are you on about?? This is an LD10 review. (And not LD01 as this reviewer seems to think - LD01 is much smaller and uses AAA batteries).

  • Surefire are 3 times the price. Anyway everything is made in China these days. That's why we can all afford pc's and digital cameras and mp3 players etc etc etc.

  • Was looking for a good light I could use on extended backcountry treks that was lite, had a strobe, and ran on easy to find batteries as I travel in rural Asia a lot. This has exceeded my expectations. Amazingly bright considering it runs on only one AA. Using Eneloop rechargeables, and kicks out even more light. Has to be over 100 lumens, even on alkaline. Was a bit hesitant as it is from China, but build quality is fantastic. Only worried about warranty issues and shipping to China...

  • Nice from Fenix. I have the L0D1 and really like the table top/stand up tail cap. I'd miss that on the one you reviewed. We live in the country and are prone to power outages in storms. I use two L0D1's and a TK-10 for house lights because they stand.

Nothing worse than taking a poop in the dark! :-o

Fenix lights are a incredible value and a ultra tough product.

I have a drawer full Fenix wannabee lights that just don't make the cut.

    And waterproof too!

    Great review mate!

    Peace.

  • try a led lenser

  • I was wondering if the Red filter adapter in the Fenix accessories will fit the LD10, thanks Forrest

  • I can't believe this thing runs off a single AA battery for so long and puts out so much light. This thing blows away the Surefire G2, which only maxes out at 80 lumens and it uses two CR123A batteries AND it is about 5.5 inches long...and the G2 still costs MORE, for some reason.

This thing makes the G2 look like a joke!

  • yours doesnt have a clip?

  • Hi, using a nearly dead alcaline battery (under 1V) i have to wait about 15 seconds after turnoff to relight the lamp. Is this common? Does this also happen within the 34h of low mode?

    Reason?

Since the flashlight is using a voltage converter the converter needs a certain threshold voltage to start its operation after wich the voltage is allowed to drop as long as the converter is running. to relight it after turning off, the battery has to recover some time, to gain the threshold voltage?

  • Thank you for the fantastic review. I really appreciate your efforts and I look forward to receiving my LD10.

  • It might get their attention. If you want to scare off bears use a shotgun.

  • The light is great but I much prefer the old holster for the L1D over the new one.

  • good review

  • Great review and good quality video too.

    Thanks for posting.

I look forward to more of your reviews.

  • The LD10 is the L1Ds replacement, the LD01 is a single AAA torch. I had the L1D for a while and recently got the LD10 and LD01.

  • @stevebarnes2 what should i get the ld01 or the ld10 cuz i like the size ld01

  • @wifebeater756 Go with the ld01 then, it's a great keyring edc light.

  • Thanks for the vid.

  • Wow! Small and powerful! Awesome review. Thanks!
