@Reloading26 Hi, I'm a person unrelated to the conversation. I do agree better graphics provide a better experience, but the experience isn't much unless there's good story and gameplay. Nintendo has "meh" graphics, but the quality of the games they have is fantastic. The PS3 and XBOX still have great games, and they are much more graphics-driven, yet the excellent quality games are FREAKING AWESOME! Too bad I can't afford them, but I really want them.

The funny thing about the Wii is how its greatest achievement is its biggest downfall. The Wii is radically different than than the PS3 and 360, however that means it was hard to port games to it and as a result not many games were made for it. If the Wii wanted to be a "good" console it needed to stop trying to be revolutionary and start copying everyone else. I mean look at the 360 and PS3, those things a practically identical.

I sold my ps3 for a wii because I got bored of playing mw3. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. Seriously Nintendo is the godfather of video games for a reason, because it tries to be a gaming console. Not a dvd. Not a blue ray player. Just a gaming console unlike the ps3 and xbox 360, you have genuine gaming varieties. Anyone who was always curious about getting a wii now is the time, its relatively cheaper now and the games are not as expensive as xbox or ps3 games. Which by the way is total bs.

@niteflash06 You have some good options actually. You can go to gamestop and buy an used wii for about $79. It comes with all of its components and the games cost you from 10-20 dollars if you aren't looking for a new release. Wii U isn't going to come out until the end of the year so I don't know what to tell you about that. You could wait it out I suppose, but at least you'll be spending less on a bundle of games and a wii than a couple of xbox or ps3 games combined.

Why is nintendo fan on here arguing about how the wii is good because its games have good gameplay when that's completely irrelevant. As a console the wii sucks. It has almost no built in memory, a very slow process, and supports a low resolution. The motion controls are finicky and very annoying to use. And its backwards compatibility isn't all that special either. I can run a N64 emulator on a psp. The wii might have very good first party games, but as for the console, it sucks...

For me, the Nintendo Wii is an amazing emulator. I buy old games off of the shop and play them using the classic controller. My other use for the Wii is to play new games that are similar to older titles, such as New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Kirby's Return to Dreamland and Donkey Kong returns. Nintendo Wii, the greatest retro console of all time.
