The video completely fails to understand the lyric. Incidentally, it's "Conrfields and wheatfileds enogh to GROW" not "glow". The idyllic scenes of oceans and meadows entirely miss the point - these things are cited in the lyric as hurdles - Hal is saying, we don't need anymore problems like mountains to climb, oceans to cross etc. We have all we need, we just need to share. As for the image of Mother Teresa, she seemed to think poverty was OK - as the poor would learn from it!! Sick.

Ironically, Dionne originally passed on recording this first, so Burt and Hal David gave it to Jackie DeShannon, who turned it into a monster hit in the spring of 1965. THEN, Dionne made up for lost time by recording her version...which is just as moving as Jackie's.
