The Earth does naturally have hot and cool periods. We are supposed to be in a cooling period but are not.

It is very simple. The Earth has a shield, called ozone. Keeps out the solar radiation. Humans have created holes in and weakened this shield allowing more radiation to reach us(short and long wave-heat).

With an increased amount of solar radiation and larger amount of green house gases created byhumans, the radiation is getting trapped here, thus heating the Earth.

Polar bears are not thriving, they are going to be extinct as we lose the ice at the poles during hot years. the distance between their living grounds and the hunting grounds is becoming too far of a swim and they are drowning.

My only caution to you is to not mistake the IPCC and the ICCC saying, "We used information for 10,000 scientists for our study," when they actually discarded the work of most, censored much of what was left, and is edited by some 50 scientists whose personal work is vested in the theory of AGW. Theres a new report out today by the National Wildlife Assoc. that Polar bears are actually partially responsible for the depleting Artic Ice. It seems the bears are eating the ice with their seal meat in large significant quantities and scientists estimate its in the millions of tons per year. This doesnt include the tons of ice melted by their urination and those ice balls that get stuck to their paws and fur.

I am an engineer and I have explored and experimented with electrical production. If you understand how electric motors work its absolutely absurd to think that we need to use fossil fuel for any electrical production. The electricity used by an electric motor is simply used to create electromagnets using coils of wire. The electromagnets affect the magnetic field created by good old fashioned magnets that are also present in all electric motors.

The reason why the temperature went down in 1945 may be because of the world war 2. It is hard to explain but huge amounts of smoke or clouds from nuclear bombs and other chemicals if stayed in the admosphere, it can block the sun's rays for days. Since the sun is our only heat source it take very littel time for those spots to cool down. The gloval average temperatures is the sum of all places on earth togerther and if some go down it can contribute to some chage in the gloval average temp.
