  • Nice review, i ordered one!

  • Added to favorites. Nice review. Thanks.

  • ITS A PURSE!?

  • WHAT THE HECK.... THE S TYPE AINT GOT THE CELL PHONE POCKET..... DANG!

  • You're hot.

  • Sootch is blingin.

  • Man Purse..... I like it though.

  • Sootch, I was hoping to read some replies back from you to some of your viewers..??

  • It holds the British Crusader cooking system. It's a compact one person metal canteen with lid and a small alcohol burner. There is space left too. That means instant noodle soup, coffee, coco or tea bags anytime anywhere you want. And trust me nothing revives you like a warm cup of something. Thus this bag is magical!

  • great video

  • I bought this bag due to your review. Thanks a lot for all the effort you put into your vids.

  • Speaking of Everyday carry, can this thing fit a netbook (10 inch screen)? Thanks...

  • Do u carry it even in shopping stores like walmart and ect or when go in leave in the car?

  • Nice use of Mother Nature. Other reviewers use dull places like living rooms or kitchens.

  • Can a iPad fit in that back pocket of the fat boy

  • I'm so glad you reviewed this pack! I've been looking at it and really wanted to see a good review first (preferably by either you or Nutn). Well done, Sir!

  • no offence but u look a bit gay

  • Very nice review.

You should try Avon skin so soft bath oil for the bugs it works great.

  • Made in China. Buy Spec-Ops Brand or someone else. Tired of imported stuff when you could be buying American.

  • very cool

  • If Maxpedition "gave" you this pack ( 2:14 to 2:21), how can you claim any measure impartiality? It may be that you're an honest individual and everything you say is true. But the fact that they are supplying you with their products brings up a hornet's nest of suspicions.

  • Nice review, but how long will it keep your beers cold for?

  • Nice review. I have no idea who you are or why a company would give you their product to do a review LOL, but nice review anyway. I think this could be ok for a touring bag for camera gear and such but I can't see myself ever EDC'ing something like this! LOL.. looks like carrying a woman's purse. Too feminine looking for me. sorry. I'm also shocked by the high price of these bags though they do look like they are constructed well and durable.

  • thats a man purse

  • Why do you prefer this system over a light-weight backpack?

  • Why do you prefer this system over a light-weight backpack?

  • i was about to ask what you do for a living rolling in a benz and sporting thousands and thousands of dollars in guns and ammos, and ive seen you wearing some nice watches too, ohh and your new property looks prettttttty sick

  • Maxpedition products as pure quality. Tough as nails. My Falcon II looks brand new after two years of abuse.

  • pack,purse,pack,purse,pack,purse,purse,pursepursepurse,,,,Murse,man bag

  • Its a manbag!

  • I saw this review two months ago and I bought this bag. It is excellent! I carry it every day and it really can fit a lot of things inside. Sootch thank you for reviewing it, you really helped me.

It is too small for CZ 75 SP01 but glock 19 fits perfectly (I hope this helps anyone who is considering this bag for CCW).

There are a lot of reviews on this bag all over youtube and people are showing what you can fit inside. Funny thing is that no one keeps condoms inside :)

    Keep it safe....PEACE!

  • Sootch, I'm looking to get either this one or the Jumbo. I'm really eyeballing the Fatboy I need to know if the fatboy can fit a G17 gen 3 in the ccw compartment with a hook & loop. how does it fit?

    thanks~

  • Great rewiev!

I have question, Can it hold SLR camera (like nikon d300) inside?

    Its look very small...

  • @4thRico I don't think you can get a full size DSLR in the Fatboy. I carry my D-200 with an 18-200 lens in my Jumbo, as EDC. I suggest you go with the Jumbo. Look at Sootch's vid on it & you'll see my set up. John

  • Great review. You have sold me on this bag for sure.

  • Sootch does awesome reviews, THANKS SOOTCH! =)

  • I watched this vid a few times, eyeballed the fatboy versipack for a while.... Bought one and really like it. Never thought I could get excited about a man purse, but it rocks!

  • the man carries a colt commander...... your are the man sootch...

  • will it ride on your back like a back pack?

  • @isfahelww It will ride around to your hip. If you shorten the strap, it can ride higher. Thanks~

  • @isfahelww Look at the Maxpedition Remora Gearslinger its specifically design to go on the back.

  • Another great product review Sootch!!! I just ordered the Versipack Jumbo as I'm 6'4" and needed the larger pack! I'll be packing my Ruger SR9c along with other gear when it arrives! Keep those reviews coming!!!

  • I get made fun of my bag everyday at work. Doesn't deter me from carrying it!

  • That is a great pack, just the right size.

    Stephen

  • Awesome video...Awesome pack...Thanks for discount.

  • Maxpedition has WAY to much cool stuff. You are killing me Sootch...well my bank account anyhow.

  • Sootch I have bought so many Maxped items over the last few months with your coupon code. I really appreciate it! I hope maxpedition is giving you royalties. Tell them you'll review bags for them and they should send them to you for free- you have a big audience. A lot of other youtubers do the same with Maxpedition items. Look at the new Maxpedition Noatak.

  • lol Man Purse. I lovve Maxpedition.

  • 01:03/01:08 Sootch my friend, you look out of place there with your flip flops and and collared shirt in the woods......LOL

I have the same pack. To be honest, I've used it twice. I have no problem using in hiking and camping, but just can't bring myself to use it everyday, slung on my shoulder. Still screams purse to me....LOL

    Very thorough review Sootch!

  • ooh sootch is a Mercedes man!

  • you need a "Sootch00" patch for that bag.tight review. thanks.

  • I HAD A WW2 gas mask bag and my freinds called it a man purse in school:(

  • Its a satchel...Indiana Jones has one...I remember seeing that on the TNP allstar shoot! Great work!

  • nice looking pack. that hip strap is great for riding a bike or if you find yourself leaning forward to climb something or pick up something. Very cool design.

Now who are the butt-pirates that gave this a thumbs-down?

  • Respond to this video... If your out doors hiking, hunting,or just walking through the woods, it's a satchel to carry essential stuff in, no different from a backpack. However, I wouldn't be caught dead walking down town with it. :-)

  • @noobketchup Gee, someone got up on the wrong side of the bed.

  • scootch drives Benz...nice

  • Finally yout tested the classic little Fatboy Versipack - it's my favourite Maxped Pack, too. The right size for EDC when a backpack is too much - it's not too big for a quick trip to the city... I put a Janus Extension Pocket on the strap and a Mini Rolly Poly on the Molle attachment. And still I have Molle attachment capability on the bag. It is just so versatile...

  • So with the other strap this will go around your waist like a fanny pack?

  • @roughneck10000 The strap goes around the waist for added support. If you're on a serious hike , it would keep the bag more stable. It lays naturally on the hip. Thanks~

  • @sootch00 whats the width of the strap is it 3/8 wide?

  • Once again, another flawless product review. You really do make it look so easy my friend. So much to learn from. Thank you Sootch for your time and effort. - Tim

  • Great review! That looks like an awesome little pack! By the way...you're a dork. BUG SPRAY! LoL!

  • @guns4good I was being swarmed by gnats. All the stuff in my bag and forgot the insect repellant. Yes, I am a Dork! Lol!

  • @sootch00 theres a new bigger version now on us.calvary IT WAS MODELED AFTER THE FATBOY but bigger i think its a versi-pack

  • @sootch00 i made myself look stupid when i said it might be a versi pack im stupid sorry.

  • @sootch00 Hilarious! the look on your face man.....PRICELESS! lol btw echo everything you said in your review! I found my Ruger P-85 a bit of a snug carry, so I traded it for an SR-9. Turning in my paperwork for CCW this week too.

  • MAN purse!!! :)

    hehe great video

  • Love the vid. I bought the jumbo Versipack because of your previous vid on it. The Jumbo fits my camera and mini survival gear perfectly. But I like this as a smaller option.

  • Looks like an EDC / Daypack (overnite kit) Combo.......Sold! I will visit Tactical Gear Now in Dallas this week.

  • Its a Man Purse(Murse)! Sootch what is up with that? LOL! Keep up the good work!!

  • haha,my wife don't carry that much crap in her Pocketbook!!

  • just got my Kodiak gearslinger in K/F Love it, I made some recommendations to Maxpeditions web sight too. And mentioned that the first maxpedition product I had ever seen was the monsoon gearslinger showed on sooch00

  • Very nice review. Nice size day bag. I have one of their gearslingers but have found it gives me alittle back muscle pain. I guess I need to stick with a double shoulder bag . Thanks for the great vid.

  • Sootch Presents:

    The Maxipadition Tactipurse

  • @RealityIsUndeniable "It's not a purse; it's a satchel. Indiana Jones had one."

  • Awesome review, Sootch. Thinking about picking up the Lunada gearslinger. It seems about the right size to old my netbook and a couple other EDC essentials...great to carry to and from work, play, etc. Thanks again for the great gear reviews. Take care!

Love the clips at the end of your vids. Haha...bug spray. You aren't kidding!

  • I just got a black one.......

    Nice VID!

    AmericanSurvival101 dot com

    BogOutBag101 dot com

  • Cute. My husb has something like that for travelling, walking, hiking, etc.

  • Good Review sootch.... makes me want one of those bags.... Keep the vid's coming...

  • What kind'a merc do you drive?

  • I wonder, do they make a slightly smaller version of it. That seems kind of huge.. I keep a lot of stuff on my person but heck, that size could double as a small BOB :) A slightly smaller one might be cool.. for wallet keys, whatever else, spare mags and such.

  • @Iridium242 Check out Maxpeditions website. They make about every size and style imaginable. Great gear. Thanks~

  • @Iridium242 Dude, I find the size perfect...and also I don't use all the space. But it's handy because I can put extra stuff in there depending on what I've got going on...camera, sunscreen, binoculars, lots of ammo if I'm headed to the range, snacks if I'm going on a hike, etc.... I don't carry all that stuff every day, but the little extra space makes the bag much more versatile, while compromising very little in the way of comfort or ease of use.

  • i have used it and hated it, when it is loaded up it is a pain to carry plus it makes you look kinda gay it does make a nice purse for the wife though

  • Sootch bro I just got my first MAXPEDITION pack. I got a FATBOY VERSIPACK for EDC it cost 64.99 I love this "pack" thank you for your videos on it...

  • Sootch, where do you stash the Mary Jane?

  • Nice Review ..... that seems right about my speed ..... Because I work 2 jobs right in a row, I carry a lot of stuff with me ..... this should keep it a little better organized .... thanx

  • Sooch, if you put all those keys in your pocket, you'd have to walk lopsided! No wonder you have a fatboy! LOL Really, thanks for the vid!

  • I might have to buy one of these man-purses now that you compared it to Indiana Jones' satchel! :D

  • I don't own any maxpedition products yet...but you're starting to break me down. I would like to have one of those.

  • I own one of these and love it.

The only problem I have with it is that despite its size it can't hold a full sized gun easily nor is it easy to draw. I can't comfortably carry (and have access to) a full sized 1911. Similarly my XD45 "compact" will only fit with the "compact" magazine in.

By contrast my much smaller Coronado Leather Cross Carry Bag can hold any pistol I own, draws very clean, and doesn't look the least bit tactical.

  • Amen!!!!!

  • Sootch00, great review, as always! Okay, now I want the Monsoon AND the Fatboy Versipack! BTW, it did not go unnoticed that you gave the community of your viewers a gift of sharing some family history, a gift that required some increased vulnerability to haters. I respect your courage and your gift!

  • Great review Scootch! Love the setting, and I want one, going to the web site now :)

  • quality review

  • Another great review, Thanks SOOTCH!

  • i have a bag similar to this, you might be interested in what i did. since those zippers (mine were larger) teng to clink and jingle when you jog, i cut them off and made my own paracord pull cords for it, they work great.

  • what ever your needs for a bag are this is one company that will make the pack for you..I been told before if you cant hump it for a mile why carry it...These bags have carried all my gear for what ever the day has to bring..So I will not be found without my bag around my body..From a 45 to my 40 glock they all ride fine....Enjoy All my buddies love them..

  • lol, a fatboy for me, a fatboy :) I need one of those. I have the Falcon II Backpack and it is hard to beat Maxpedition quality.

  • in about a month, my new motto is going to be "Indiana Jones carries a satchel."

  • Was that a Hangover reference?

  • what camera was used filming this??

  • its not a purse its an American Shoulder bag... LOL Great review Sootch

  • Essentially it is a man purse. LMAO Great stuff Sootch.

  • holy crap Sootch why do you have so many keys???

  • Great review and nice pack. Personally I just cannot get over the man purse thing.

  • Great video!! I have a Fatboy and love it. The only way I will get rid of it is if I switch to a Jumbo. The only reason why I would switch to a Jumbo is because I am running out of room 8-)

  • I've also tried cheap chinese copies, just to know how it feels and loved it. So for the long time service gotta get Maxped for sure. Great review, Sooch.

  • very nice indeed, maybe even put a little survival tin in there?..

  • that is very good quality i want one you got my sub

  • Looks like it would make a good survival pouch.

  • great review, I always get new ideas watching your reviews. I am using the Mongo pack by maxpedition. I use it as a EDC or for special load outs. This holiday weekend I used it for a zoo trip with my 2 year old grand daughter, now that was a adventure..

  • sweet man purse sootch.... LOL jus kiddin man another great vid thanks :)

  • @homegrownsurvivor drape it over your opposite shoulder like that and its instant testosterone

  • Your family is involved in the jewelary business? I never knew. I am in the jewlary business as well on the side....but I do not make any money with it, lol. Most of the special things I make I give away anyway, and I rarly make a profit on the other stuff. Great B role footage by the way.

  • its a good back but one thing i didnt like both on this version and the larger one is the straps for the top flap that are too short but i found a small fix on the the fatboy version.

just pass the plastic buckel in the loop . dosent work for the larger one tho

i like the added handle (mines dont have one)

its perfect for a T91 netbook btw.

  • Awesome little bag but I never considered getting one, I have a Warsaw Pact style gas mask bag for this purpose. It doesn't come close in comfort but it's durable and cheaper than dirt. Thank you for the great review!

  • Another home run with a gear review.

  • -- Top notch review sir! -- It is refreshing to see something demo'd that is actually being used!

  • great video thanks

  • Great vid sir, I am a maxpedition fan too, amazing bag! Great job , quality of video is just great, nice site for review. Thanks Mr Sootch!

  • Unfortunately for me, Maxpedition means out of my price range. However, I appreciate the fact that you let us know Maxpedition provided this for you, being honest with that really helps me trust what you are saying in this and other videos.

    Two other things:

    1) How are those sandals out in the wild?

    2) Your keychain looks like my girlfriends. :)

    Thanks!

  • I think your a really good guy sootch, and many of your vids are awesome. I especially like your philosophy vids. But If I see one more review on maxpedition then I will have to unsubsrcibe and just check your channel every now and again. Like I said I'm really sorry to say this, but I am just sick of maxpedition this maxpedition that. There are many other great brands out there that need reviewing.

  • That is one man purse I would so use lol....... And I also think my CRKT M-16 desert tan blade would look sick as heck clipped to that versipack :-P

  • Damn you Sootch.. first you got me to buy a Monsoon.. now I'm considering going fatboy instead of Jumbo!!! Dammit man!!!

  • What do you do for carrying water with this bag? I've been wavering between this one and the jumbo because of the water bottle pouch on the jumbo, but I like the size of this one. I could add a molle pouch on the pouch you use for your binocs, but seems to me that would make it the same size as the jumbo, and I might as well get it. Decisions decisions.

    Great stuff Sootch.

  • @holybrolydood go with the jumbo. If your not using the water bottle holder, you can sinch it, fold it up and velcro it flat and out of the way.

  • Greaatt, something else that I want to buy now. Thanks Sootch! This is just the thing I need to keep all my daily gear in ( and then some).

  • My wife could use a tactical purse.

  • So is it good quality? (just kidding) I think I'll make mine a kick but First aid/trauma kit.

    Thanks for the thorough review.

  • Sootch, could you recommend a satchel-style pack similar to the Fatboy (I'm not too picky on which company makes it), that would be useful for a student? I am using a fabric brief case to cary my binders and laptop (13" Macbook) along with other small items, and seems like it could break rather easily. With my laptop in there on a regular basis, I don't want to take that chance. The fatboy seems as though it would be too small to fit my laptop and binders, so do you know of any bags that would?

  • @TheLoneAndorian I like the satchel style pack for short hikes or walks under a couple of miles. The Fatboy and the Jumbo would be too small for a laptop, plus it's not padded enough. I've been looking for a good bag to fit my laptop and when I find it, I'll be sure to do a review. Maxpedition has a lot of bags that would work and will probably buying one of theirs. Thanks~

  • @sootch00 i've seen some briefcases, messenger bags from saddleback leather company that look pretty well built. only thing is that the site says theyre quite heavy and rather pricey.

  • good video, thumbs up!

  • Good Stuff, might have to pick one up.

  • Very cool!

  • I've been wanting one of these for a while now.
